:mad Amazon Fraud

I do like Amazon, at least until yesterday.

Made a purchase on 2/17. My card was charged on 3/2 and I was told my product had shipped and would arrive by 3/10. As 8pm arrives and my package did not, I contact Amazon 3/11 to find out what is going on.

I was told that this is a 3rd party seller and I would have to contact them directly. The company has no physical address or phone number as far as Google searches found... it was all Amazon pages. So Amazon acted as a middleman.

I get a response from the company that said they ran out and my item should ship within the next 5 days. WHAT? So you charge my card, tell me my product ships but it never did.

Amazon refuses to refund my money even though the charge in my statement says Amazon and not the 3rd party company. Looking over the company's reviews, they have been doing this to a LOT of customers.

All amazon says is..... we will look into this, it could take up to a week.

So my money has been tied up for nearly a month and I will need to wait even more for a refund.

When did Amazon's customer service become so shitty? I have a business prime account, is this what I pay extra for?

Very disappointed Amazon.... VERY disappointed! I mean seriously... it was an order for 21.59. Why is this even an issue with all I spend there? For me, it's not the amount... it's the principle.

My bedroom TV died the night before last, need a replacement. Looks like BestBuy for that. Not much faith in Amazon these days.

yea i only order stuff that has 'prime' next to it so it ships FBA. otherwise you might as well search it direct from the seller.

walmart has the best prices on tvs and monitors. best buy is overpriced. i like the walmart pikc up in store option. i got a bunch of Spectre large screens (3@24", 1@55", 2@21") last year for my office and they're all still running great. ordered thru walmart.com and picked up in the store..

How are those? I get a little cautious with lower know brand names. The one I am replacing is a Toshiba.... I have had their tube televisions in the past and have lasted for years... this one died in under 5. It's actually just the back-light that needs to be replaced, I watched a video on how to change it, it does not seem hard. But the mercury warning has me concerned as I am not a professional.

My whole concern with the above issue is that Amazon is not standing behind the customer. The charge on my statement says Amazon Market Place, not the 3rd party seller. To me, that says Amazon took my money so they should be responsible for returning it. And to say it shipped when it did not and to charge my card is not very ethical and yet Amazon allows this practice. I guess that is the power you get when you own the market.

This time it was only 21.59, I am afraid to have this happen with any large dollar amount. Which sucks because I have always had good experiences with them.

the Sceptre outperform my Samsungs. the ones in my office are on pretty much 24/7 and no dead pixels or problems. i checked and i bought them in May 2018, so they've been running a long time.

24" 1080p is only $85 - they were $100 when i bought them. 55" 4k is only $245. i paid $298. that one is hanging on a wall and its very light - 30lbs or so..

Wasn't a Prime item, your Prime Business designation means absolutely nothing. I only buy Fulfilled by Amazon stuff via Prime.

You have to work Walmart against Amazon for the win. Don't ever buy from 3rd party sellers if you can avoid it. Check eBay first.

I only buy via my Prime account from Amazon-shipped only. I’ve had too many issues with outside vendors. They send pictures of the item on your doorstep as proof of delivery. Several times the pictures aren’t of my back door now since snow was there or not there.

Cancel the order and order from someone else.

The free two-day delivery on Prime items is sometimes three days or more. They compensate you for that but occasionally I need the printer ink fast or something else fast.

It took two weeks to charge you. That in itself is surprising

I will have to be more careful in the future. I have been using Amazon for years without issue, this really shocked me.

They finally cancelled the order today and issued a refund. Took a hell of a lot of complaining. My main issue was they said the shipped the product and charged the card when they didn't. Then Amazon saying all they could do is act as a moderator. I checked my statement, it is a Amazon deduction, not the 3rd party deduction. To me, Amazon took the money so they should have just refunded it.

Oh well... live and learn.

Visa/MasterCard acquiring rules state that a card cannot be charged until the item is in stock and ready to ship within 48 hours.

So I made a review of this company.... It was rejected. It goes as follows:

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thank you for submitting a customer review.

Thank you for submitting a customer review on Amazon. After carefully reviewing your submission, your review could not be posted to the website.

MESSAGE:

This Company is a FRAUD!

Placed an order on Feb 17, 2020. I was charged for the product and told it had shipped. It never had. The day after the item was to be delivery, I receive an email saying they were out of stock and it would ship within the next 5 days. Since when did it become legal to charge a credit card and NOT ship a product?

There is NO physical address or phone number for this company other than their amazon page according to google. And Amazon allows this type of business practice. WOW!

Amazon refuses to do anything but be a go between for me and the company and not taking ANY responsibility for advertising this fraud of a company.

BUYER BEWARE! They can take your money instantly, but getting it back is not so fast. Never-the-less... Amazon needs to watch who they sell for. I have lost all trust in Amazon because of this. The order was only 21.00 and some change. How sad is that?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gotta love it! Cannot even warn people about this company with Amazon!

It's good to be the King!

Probably a drop shipper and it's supplier failed to ship. I have to say living on Aruba I import stuff weekly from all over the world for years now and I never have a problem. And if something is wrong with an order it's frustrating. But just be polite and in my experience it always gets resolved.
I mean your projected delivery date was just 4 days ago.
I think it's a bit early to leave reviews saying a company is a Fraud.

The fraud is where they said they shipped my item, charged my card, then admitted they never shipped my product.

What would happen if you charged a member to your site and never gave them access? Just saying that practice is not right.

What part of pandemic are you not understanding here? It's obviously going to have impact on supply chains globally.

Amazed at how people are so unwilling to give benefit of the doubt during times like these. Are you really dumbfounded that not every Amazon seller has updated their shipping estimates in the last few weeks? Because seriously, that must be the most important thing they can do today.

Again, you are missing the part where they SAID they SHIPPED and NEVER DID. The wait is not the issue, their business practice is!

I am sorry you went through this. Amazon gave horrible customer service to you. A red flag should have been noticed when the seller lied he or she shipped it. The item was out of stock and they were very aware of this. The seller took your money instead of apologizing and giving a refund to you.

Did you ask for a supervisor? I normally ask for a supervisor when their normal representatives are being useless.

I am not seeing the issue here. You surely cannot expect Amazon to quickly refund your money without an explaintion of what happened. You "claim" you didn't get what you paid for. How does Amazon know you aren't lying?

Fraud and Amazon.

A bigger fraud is how many counterfeit items there are on Amazon. It is getting a bit too crazy. You really have to check and make sure that the item you are ordering is being sold by the company you are intending to purchase it from.

I take a fish oil pill (actually several throughout the day) that are very high in Omega-3. They are expensive. So I went on Amazon to get a deal.

Sure enough they had them for about $7 less than in the store. So I bought some. The label on the bottle, not the same. It looked like somebody printed it with stuff you might have in a high school art class. The softgels also looked odd. The two halves not perfectly lined up when fusing together. They sweat even with the anti-moisture packets in the bottle. Eventually they all began to pop on their own. I looked at the date and lot info on the bottle and it is not the same font as the real one I got at the store.

I took this evidence to Amazon and informed them that this is a counterfeit item. They said they would look into it. The product is still available for purchase a year later. They don't care that somebody might be taking this to lower their LDL cholesterol and that it probably doesn't have jack-shit in it for Omega-3's. So they are probably having a few people die prematurely taking this crap. But they got their money before they died.

I don't think I will ever buy a food item of any kind of Amazon anymore. Just cannot trust them.

I have found many counterfeit items and reported them. They never do anything about it. Have had many conversations with management from big tech companies that enjoy my evidence collection abilities. Perhaps they get out of court settlements out of it. But just a shady way of doing business and when it comes to food items, deadly!

They said they would refund me for returns I couldn’t return to Kohl’s due to the quarantine. I promised to return everything after the ban was lifted. No need, they said.

One refund came through only. 24 hours later I emailed with no answer yesterday. Today they issued all credits plus one I hadn’t asked for. Emailed but they said to keep it. That’s on top of the five dollar credit allotted to me.

I’ve had a couple of fake items and they are still there despite the promises to investigate and remove them. I am now very careful to order items fulfilled by Amazon only.

They used to be the low price leader but lately I notice the prices aren’t so great. Until the virus is not active and job production is back to normal, I’m ordering only vital items. My medical order is delayed and I can’t get to the store.
