Join YNOT & attorney Corey Silverstein for a very important Webinar April 19 Re: Mastercard
You may have heard the news by now that Mastercard is further putting the screws to our industry.
Just this week, the Senior VP of Franchise Customer Engagement & Performance for Mastercard announced that the company is extending its “Specialty Merchant Registration requirements” such that banks which “connect merchants to our network will need to certify that the seller of adult content has effective controls in place to monitor, block and, where necessary, take down all illegal content.” What do these broad restrictions mean for legal adult businesses and content creators? Please join YNOT for a legal webinar with industry attorney Corey Silverstein of Silverstein Legal about this very hot topic. Monday April 19, 3:00pm ET / noon PT Please join us on the YNOT Zoom and share this link: https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/regi...RbKrhY1lKz4bNw

Nahhh. Just further under the table.
Until Visa MC Domain registrars get together and do something nothing will happen. And if these people are not accepting Visa MC directly it most likely wont effect them They get paid for traffic more than sales.

Absolutely this ^^^. Sites publishing illegal and unlicensed content may not be able to process credit cards, but they can still generate a ton of traffic for their advertisers, and can redirect traffic to those sites which are made to be in compliance with the new rules.

Seems like common sense.
Have licensed content on your website, and not user uploaded and all will be fine. But these sites they are targeting, don't sell anything. They get paid by people advertising. So I'm not sure how that will work. |

![]() ![]() https://www.article13.org/best-of Too bad it's focused on the big boys like YT and not sure how it is going to be enforced. If they made webhosting companies responsible for compliance of their clients it would be a big win as almost all of these thieving tubes host in EU, so they enjoy European servers to commit crime while being hidden in their Russian shithole.

By all means please feel free to join the webinar and ask some hard hitting questions in the chat. We will do what we can to address them.

Fellas, check out the newest NYTimes article about xvideos, and specially check out the examples the author uses
"Many videos depict rapists, real or fake" "One on XVideos is captioned with a girl’s protest: “This is not right, Daddy, stop, please.” And the article also links to some british study that analyzed big tube sites on word usage basis and found "one in eight titles of videos are sexually violent or nonconsensual" (they can analyze music or holywood movies that way too for that matter...) Shortly said, we can all be (maybe) happy that pirates will have a harder time... ...but this will keep rolling. I predict next ones to be cancelled are fetishes, bdsm, facial abuse kind of sites... all that with more and more protection methods, verification, allowed word list, approvals.. etc. TLDR: This is bad for all of us and it will be worse. |

One more small addition...
I'm against rape and exploitation but the big porn victims that they mention are really interesting. In this latest xvideos article, bombshell story is a teenage girl that sent her nude pics to a teenage boy... and gee whiz, he showed it to his friends and it got spread around (including xvideos) so her life is ruined. This is negative on so many levels. Do anything, blame others - that is how I see it. Once again, real rape is something completely different. But there should be a clear difference in RAPE vs REGRET |

I mentioned this to my wife and explained it briefly... She asked if Mastercard was concerned about all of the clothes and shoes we buy from China and if any child labor laws were violated... And if Mastercard is concerned about them.

I was involved in a project that led to a final solution National Geographics use now. It's based on AWS own image and video analysis solution. If you like Google better, you can use their service as well. Strip the video into 120 second clips if you want, and it would still spot it based on the full source fingerprint. You should automate the billing process with the domain registrar, so if the siteowner dont pay the copyright fee/fine after you find illegal content on the site, the domain is handed over to you, or parked at a domain-parking page, where the income will be split between the copyright holder and the domain registrar. There will be a lot of problems to begin with, but in the end we could push the scammers back into the shadows - because they will never completely go away |

They spend millions sourcing data about Slavery and Human Trafficking from external partners, so yes - they are very aware of it, and actuelly do more than most. If the UN did half as much with the same budget, the world would be a better place

When I read about this, I immediately thought this will be another point in favor of adopting crypto payments. That, I believe, is coming sooner than later.

Here is a question that pops to mind...
Friend just sent me a dropbox link with 5 vids of knauf party so to call it. You can google it via "Ontario construction workers stripper" Allegedly, it resulted in job losses... beatings... even a heart attack. Lots of tragedy. There is nudity in the vids so we can definitely label it as porn-ish. Needless to say, participants DID NOT consent to it being shared anywhere, yet it went pretty much viral. So the question is... Will MASTERCARD suspend all file sharing websites? Or even worse... Will MASTERCARD make them review all files before sharing, which effectively means that someone will be looking at private files, pics, videos, whatever? Will each file sharing involve a ton of paperwork? Then furthermore... Who is responsible for data leaks, security breaches, intrusions on private stuff? This whole thing is nonsensical to say the least. If only adult sites are affected, it is hypocrisy deluxe. |

Damn I missed it, thanks for making it happen Jay and Corey, we need more gathering around crucial topics with experts invited. Specially in these weirdly troubled times.

Any kind of financial transaction leaves a trail. Why would I be worried about being traced?
