Are you aware that our Federal Bankrupcy laws have just been modified. You can no longer get out of credit card debt by filing Chapter 7 - if you go Bankrupt now, you still need to pay off your credit card debt.

It wouldn't be the end of the world if they did, we already get over 10% of our members join by mail with checks or Cash and these checks don't bounce. I can foresee that increasing considerably. One thing is for sure Porn on the web is here to stay and Visa or Mastercard can either profit from it of GFY

The dialer and 900 industry is based on a lot higher charges and it would mean surfers surfing for ten minutes and not two hours.

Even that would be very expensive. The emphasis on quality would go even lower than it is today. The need to retain would be non existant.

One of the biggest porn companies in the UK, went totally over to dialers because of the level of charge backs they weres suffering. This is because he sells a great tour and delivers crap behind it. He is making a fortune selling crap via dialers though.

many "other" companies affected the US economy would take another hit.

I don't think computer shops are filled because people need
to write reports.

Sure people can get around not having Visa/MC but that would
shake up a lot of people.

With 9% unemployment I don't think they should be thinking
of ways to fuck with the economy.

Simple solution hard to do:

Adult webmasters start buying stocks of any smaller CC company (card blache comes in mind or some company similar that has infrastructure in place already). When the adult webmasters together reach over 50 percent they force adult acceptance. Put a approved immideately link on your sites and let them sign up for that card. After pushing the card on adult sites you go to walmart and other companies and tell them look we got 1 million card holders and you don't accept our cards? I bet they will start accepting it pushing it even more.
I think many people would prever a card that can be used for everything and not some card that can't

Sorry andi, 1 million is not really enough to form a platform outside of whats already there in the interchange system. The cost that you, as an issuer, would incur, in order to bring these merchants up to date on interchange software and hardware would take a few years of your profits in one swipe.
