I think the American people that voted for Bush in '00 will be disappointed that they voted for a "compassionate conservative" and ended up with a right wing extremist (the fuck appointed Ashhahahahaha)

If Howard Dean (my personal fav choice) wins the Democratic party nomination I think you will see an upset to Bush, people identify with Dean because he has a strong message and he is a man who is determined to get the job done.

The thing thats really surprises me about Bush, is that he really isn't as dumb as he acts.

The first time he ran for public office he tried to be intelligent, and it backfired which resulted in his loss... while he is an awful speaker, he's not a complete retard as he makes out his "act". But, for whatever reason, nearly half the voting populus identified with being a dumb shit in '00.

'04 will be different, I believe the people are ready to move on, and actually do something constructive with the country again. Bush will not be re-elected unless he "steals" the vote by starting a war a week before the election... which I won't put past him to do.

Is the current war over? If it is I must have missed the ending.

America IS one of the stupidest countries that are fully developped.

the fact that you have the most power in the world is frightning.

why? cuz you have the $, and $ can buy anything
except, obviously, intelligence

European countries are the smartest of them all. even THEY know more about american history/culture than americans do, and most of them never even been to america

Right ......and all of the Canadian people are cultured intellectuals that can recite Tolstoy at will, and have 0 % of the population that are complete morons.

How perfect it must feel to be Canadian?.Maybe we could buy you like we did all of the Hockey teams.

I know we could make it a big Theme Park?.Culture Land?take the kids?get smart?.learn that envy can fuel productivity and French labels.

"Smartest of them all" is far and away the most profound statement I have read to date.

How very astute you are

You pretend that there wasn't discussion and cooperation when we attacked iraq. Let me remind you that they surrendered to us in the gulf war and agreed to certain conditions. Do you forget that we only attacked iraq after they invaded kuwait?
Then we cooled our heels for 10 years while the assclowns you want us to cooperate and discuss with jerked each other off about how to make iraq comply with the agreement of their surrender.

It appears that most complaints from non-Americans about what we do comes from jealousy over the fact that we aren't afraid to ignore the children of the world when making important decisions.
Thanks for your answer

As far as my reply goes, I was just inquiring about your opinion, I did not try to "suggest" that this is what you, let alone Americans as a whole think.

I have my own opinion about the whole Iraq situation which is that (with a few exceptions) it was a job well done by the American government - If Bremer manages to install true freedom and democracy there then I think it's one of the best things the US has done since the allied forces defeated Hitler.

Bush's overall popularity seems to hover around 60%.
However how he's handling Iraq is getting less & less favorable.
But the bottom line is that the ONLY reason Bush is a favorite to get re-elected and has high poll numbers IS 9/11

Take that away..and the man might well be impeached!

Since Bush has come into office:

The unemployment rolls are the highest in 9 years.
This country has lost over 400,000 jobs!
The enviornment continues to get worse with Bush taking a "let's wait and see" attitude towards it.
We have the "Get shot in the back in Iraq" mess
Adequate health care continues to be out of reach for many of the middle and almost all of the lower class citizens.
Civil rights are getting violated left & right thanks to the "Patriot Act" among others.
Education is in terrible shape with no help on the horizons.
States are going into almost bankrupt status.
The national deficits continue to skyrocket!

Yet Bush probably will be re-elected.
Why?

Because the democrats have turned into the biggest bunch of pussies since Nixon smashed McGovern back in 1972.

And as STRANGE and FUNNY as it may seem NOW, with this current crop of demos running, do NOT be suprised if a "draft" Gore movement got started later this year!

Nice to read some inciteful thinking on this board. Barring a miracle Bush will be re-elected. His handlers will manipulate some catastrophic rally around the flag event in a week or two before the election. Many American's are good sheep and will respond to a new terror alert, a new war, a new threat as a time to support the man in power.

In any normal time the current economy, the almost daily death of American soldiers in Iraq and other dastardly things this guy is doing would have him with much lower support. His pandering to the the NRA, anti abortion and religious right gives him a large block of single issue voters who would not care if he did far worse.

Unless one of the Democrats finds his voice we are doomed to 4 more years of the most ethnocentric non democratic regime in my lifetime.

I have to agree with that. Politically speaking, there's middle, right and extreme right. That's why the Democrats are pussies. They're a moderate political group, and nowadays, you can't beat fundamentalism with moderism.

There's a few outspoken people out there like Al Franken and Michael Moore, but they are rare. Most so called liberals are moderates.

Oh thats right this all started to happen when he got elected. I forgot. This didn't occur before him? wait You must not have been around when the bubble burst in 2000, infact it was March 17th 2000 when clintons goons brought the judgment against mirosoft. Started the whole swing. Bill Gates alone lost 17.5 million in one day. Thousands of Dot Coms in Seattle instantly Closed forcing 10's of thousands of layoffs. I must have slept through that not happening and only coming about under bush.

Thats because Clinton and Gore did so much, lets see, Lay off over 10,000 loggers, close down new drilling, stop the ability for Dept of Fish and Game from clearing underbrush so Fires would not be so rampent. Close down Most of the fishing areas in Alaska to Make sure they could get the grean peace vote.

Education = more money please = what did you do with the last 9 billion we gave you? = went to anybody but our teachers. BTW clinton increased the budget on schools and the kids reading and math scores went down.

couldn't be because governers like Gray (Gumby) Davis spent more than they raised to the tune of 40%

lets see Democratic Governer = 22% increase in Revenue = 40% More Spending. = BANKRUPT

Dear Refastud:

Like most right wingers you bury your head in the sand and scream "IT'S ALL CLINTON'S FAULT!" While claiming your poor innocent Bush inherited all the problems.

Let's take a look at your "ramblings"

"Oh thats right this all started to happen when he got elected. I forgot. This didn't occur before him? wait You must not have been around when the bubble burst in 2000, infact it was March 17th 2000 when clintons goons brought the judgment against mirosoft. Started the whole swing. "

The downturn/downfall of the economy did NOT start with a legal judgement against Bill Gates. How simplistic can you get?!?
George Bush has promised us for 2 1/2 years that tax cuts would stimulate the economy and create jobs.

Let's talk SPECIFICS! Since Bush took office, we've lost 400,000 jobs! Does that sound like BUSH'S economic plan, which is only TAX CUTS is creating jobs? **NO**

----------------------
You're response to the worsening enviornmental conditions is beyond laughble..it's pathetic!

"Thats because Clinton and Gore did so much, lets see, Lay off over 10,000 loggers, close down new drilling, stop the ability for Dept of Fish and Game from clearing underbrush so Fires would not be so rampent. Close down Most of the fishing areas in Alaska to Make sure they could get the grean peace vote."

That's your argument? It doesn't even address the climate warming, damage to the ozone layer, dirty water & air! Bush won't sign the Kyoto treaty and says "this whole greenhouse effect needs more study." More study? When we finally burn, then will BUSH be convinced!

------------------------------------

"And so many more had health care before correct? Maybe I missed that too?"

DOH! YES! Literally 10's of thousands of people have not only lost their life savings, but also have little or no health care coverage under Bush! Yes, life WAS better under Clinton!
-------------------

"Education = more money please = what did you do with the last 9 billion we gave you? = went to anybody but our teachers. BTW clinton increased the budget on schools and the kids reading and math scores went down."

Again, the simplistic right wing argument. The school classes are so over crowded that learning is all but impossible! Teaher salaries are a disgrace! Who would choose teaching when a mid-management job would pay 3-4 times the amount teachers get paid? And again, I see you are UNABLE to show ANYTHING Bush has done for Education!

---------------------------------

"Did you get a refund check??? THEN SEND IT BACK YOU FUCK IF YOU WANT TO HELP!"

Terrific comeback on the large deficits we're compiling. We're spending money we don't have. We're borrowing against the future of our children. Clinton became the first President since Nixon to have a SURPLUS in office! Now we are facing the largest deficit EVER!

------------------

Reading through your "clutter" you claim as a defense of the current administration, I find it curious that your ENTIRE post was lacking ANYTHING G.W. Bush has done that has improved the lot of this nation.

Go ahead and ramble with meaningless off topic crap. Because that is the only thing Right Wingers like you can do. When it comes to truth and reality, that's when the right wing checks out into their own alternate universe!

So to you:

Really, you say your from northwest woods. Must be bellingham, WA because in redmond and kirkland everyday after the judgement you watched all of these businesses closingf down. why because shit loads of them were run off of micro$oft stock. also what I was saying was it was the pin prick that popped the bubble.

Your Greenhouse effect is bunk. you want to talk about greenhouse gas, look at mexico city they produce more greenhouse damaging gases than "most" of our cities combined. Also most of Your studies (please provide one) are based on junk science. We have only been watching the enviroment for the last 50 years. In millions of years the earth has seen global warming as well as ice ages, or did you forget that from 4th grade science.

Can anybody say ENRON.. weren't The accounting practices adopted under the last presidents watch.

Accept for the simplistic part I agree. However under ALL presidents this is not being fixed. I am simply pointing out that throwing more money to a problem doesn't fix it and until the dem's can come up with a "plan" that doesn't increase spending and not increase teacher pay then nobody wins.

Jesus people You would think the day bush took office the world stopped spining.

Quote:

Really (I am not disputing this fact), Did this come about because the day he took office Everything just fell into line. NO, we had a war in 91 and everyone knows, and simple economics has shown that the economy generaly does better after a war. We had a boom spurred on by tech stocks. by people ignorantly buying stocks they knew nothing about. He can take credit for that. Hell. No one can take credit for that accept myrril lynch for selling junk bonds to poor people, giving them the false sense of security that they had money waiting for retirement.

ALSO what happened to the Governer Gumby comment I was really waiting for that. because as we all know, not one Republican can get anything done in california. save Arnold because he is married to a kennedy.

First off I am not glorifying GW. I am so tired of people in general feeling like as soon as a new president comes into office its all his fault. The fact of the matter is... it takes 2-4 years to see anything a president has done. (on a local level). A President DOES NOT MAKE LAWS. A PRESIDENT DOES NOT MAKE BUDGETS. They are passed and then signed by him.

Until the left comes up with solutions THEY WILL NOT GET BACK THE POWER. its a simple as that, all you can do is sit and bitch, instead of coming up with a plan.

BTW I was not trying to personally attack you. Its just your Post had all of the comments most commonly heard from the left.

the Bush-c-r-o-f-t regime is one of the most anti-American adminstration's I've seen in my few years...

1984 and Winston is here, and we can thank those fools for allowing the terrorists to win...

...all the while not recognizing that you cannot have a prosperous thriving economy if you keep selling fear and hate

although I wish his ass would not be reelected so we can hear the words "It's the economy stupid..." one more time, I fear that the dem's are not putting up any significant competition for him :/

Since you are stuck in reverse and just want to talk about how bad Clinton & other nations are, let's change the direction a bit.

Give me one SPECIFIC thing that Bush has done that has DIRECTLY improved our country. (and how)

One specific thing please..ok?

Lower Taxes! lowered my taxes by quit a bit.

NOW, lets take a look. I never said in any of my posts that I supported him, however I am tired of evey president getting blamed for shit right off the bat for things out of their control. and taking credit for shit they have no control over either.

BTW. I am not stuck in reverse. and the whole blame clinton. I never blamed clinton for the economy I blamed Janet Reno (goons) For her lack of Fucking knowledge and foresight.

Now How about you get me one study about global warming that has any substance to it.

BTW a study done for 50 out of 10 million years isn't a very accurate protrayel of cycles now is it.

Part of my question was HOW Bush improved this country directly through his actions.

You give me "I got a tax refund!" BFD! So did the top 10% of the taxpayers that got 80% of the refunds!

Now..HOW has YOUR getting a tax refund improved our country?

P.S. As for your red herring about me giving you studies on global warming..that's been documented so many times it's not even funny. How about YOU giving ONE GOOD example of how global warming is NOT true!

Seeing as how Dems take so much stock in the UN.
United Nations Environment Programme
Sources of SO2

Natural sources of sulphur dioxide (SO2) include release from volcanoes, oceans, biological decay and forest fires. Actual amounts released from natural sources in the world are difficult to quantify; United Nations Environment Programme estimates a figure of between 80 million and 288 million tonnes of sulphur oxides per year. Sulphur dioxide emissions also result from combustion of fossil fuels due to varying amounts of sulphur being present in these fuels. World-wide emissions of SO2 are thought to be around 69 million tonnes per year (2000) and nitrogen oxides around 24 million tonnes per year (1990).

Even At the lowest amount of natural pollutants we still do not produce as much as the natural enviroment around us.

I am still trying to find the Article in the Journal of Science Stating that the Mount St. Helens Eruption Produced More Harmful Pollutants than We have put into the Enviroment since the Dawn of the industrial age!

Still Waiting on Yours!

BTW you a little bitter you didn't get a return.
I love it. When right wingers get cornered, they do 1 of TWO things.

The first? EVADE & refuse to answer the question. This person cannot give one specific thing that Bush has done to improve the lot of the typical American citizen.

I'll accept that!

The second you ask? Just wait..you'll see!

Ah! That was fast! Here's the SECOND way already.
The Right Wing when cornered will respond with some off the topic point from some unknown person/source!

A treatis on the amount of sulfer dioxide given off by volcanos by a nameless person/persons from the U.N.

And this addresses the way we're going to deal with the "greenhouse" effect HOW?

(Note..nothing you posted there disputed the "greenhouse effect!"..If ANYTHING..it ADDED to the argument!)

That's exactly why we have the Electroal College. Very hard for the left the understand, (excuse me they don't understand at all why we have it) because they lost. Most people on this board didn't even know we had it until the last
election. Hello school, what the fuck are they not teaching. I learned what it is and why we have it and it
worked EXACTLY like it should. But tell someone from San Francisco or New York, and they will say, well it should be changed. Stupid fucks.

Bush has the entire mainstream U.S. media on his side, he will be hard to beat.

If the media wasn't so right wing biased, he wouldn't have a chance.

Bush and his campaign managers were against the Electoral College when they thought Gore might win without a majority of votes.

Do you think Bush was wrong then or is he wrong now for supporting it?

He didn't lower your taxes. He gave you an interest bearing loan that will have to be repaid one day. Maybe your kids will pay your loan.

To give a tax " rebate", he would need to be in the "black", not running a deficit ( like surpluses we have in Canada). Then it is a rebate.

Now, you received borrowed money in the same way as if you would of taking your visa card and got a cash advance....

I have no ideal if he supported it or not. It' in the Constitution and you don't mess with the Constitution. ...Period... You would be suprised how many people in this country that had *NO* ideal what it was. People that have been to school 16 to 30 years and didn't know. Now that's a shame. Then when they found out they wanted to change it. Stupid pin heads. Guess what they still don't have any ideal. And they will not admit it worked just like it was supose to. The same people that had no ideal why it's there, have not bother to find out *WHY* it was set up. All they know is Gore got more votes and lost *STILL* to this day. Gore got cheated by our high court, were it should *Never* ended up.

Start a poll and ask'm

Yes Bush will be re-elected and will be president for another 4 years, during which time the Europeans will eat each other alive, just in time for the US to come and rescue them again.

Please don't tell me that you really think either CNN or MSNBC is left of center these days?

Are you Michael Savage, now that you have a little spare time on your hands you're posting on GFY?

I wouldn't call them right.... I call them trying to be liberal but following a conservative format. and not even doing that well
