$2.50 for a gallon of gas??? WTF? We're turning into Europe???

I just saw a sign that said $2.50 for a gallon of gas!

I have no words to describe the anger.

$7 cigarettes and $2.50 for a gallon of gas? Am I in Europe?

Bankruptcies at all time high, unemployment in record figures and it's $2.50 for a gallon of gas?

As I have said.

You people only worry about this when it hits YOU.

gas has been over 2 bucks in Calfiornia for 6 months, only time people really start bitching is when it hits their town.

Westcoast has been paying for the Iraq war since day 1.

gas shot up ovder 2 bucks the daty after Iraq attack, and its been up and down since.

Gallon of gas would be around $2.80 here, but it's charged per litre. And we produce around 90% of the oil we need. Damn taxes.

Tough. You don't want any oil wells or refineries in your state. How much is your state, local and city tax on gas?

People that pay 2.00 bucks for a little bottle of tap water bitch about gas prices, lol.

Water??? Water is getting expensive? Somebody on the radio mentioned that a year ago I think, that fresh water was going to be marshalled. How in the world can a planet covered in 2/3 water run out of water?

Add to that 2/3 of all the fresh water is in the ground already and in the polar caps.

This is a rip off. We're probably going to be the only planet to die off from 'Sorry Ass'.

I'm in LA. The prices are rising and falling faster than Candy Samples tits on a trampoline.

When I saw the prices I almost screamed.

People went totally postal when Janet Jackson's tit was on tv for 3 seconds but they'll sit back and let themselves get fucked stupid in broad daylight over prices and rip offs.

Look at the financials and balance sheets on all the major oil companies since the Bush administration came into power. They're piling up cash like never before and we're all getting our pockets picked.

KRL I couldn't figure out why Americans sat on their asses while the petroleum cartels ripped them off so badly. Then it dawned on me while going through investment portfolio data:

In everyone's portfolio, from every company's portfolio, to the giant state and federal pension plan portfolios...they're all chock full of petroleum stock and other interests?

See? It's a simple situation of "Don't beef I've got money in it!" bullshit.

One of the oldest tricks in the books. But ya' know what? That kind of mentality is why porn is so huge. Everyone's got their dirty little hands in it. If it wasn't for online porn our computers would still have 100mb hardrives and 14.4 modems. Gateway, Dell, etc. wouldn't even be here. We'd probably still be using AOL 2.5.

I think the best investment there is is in your fellow human being's natural tendency to be a greedy, thoughtless piece of shit.

I'm going back to drawing more porn toons.

I paid $1.75 a gallon yesterday, which is pretty high for Indiana.

Gas prices will cause everything else to increase in price as well, since it will cost more to deliver items to stores. Just a matter of time.

Gas is 1.79 here, and my cigarettes are 4.82 a pack - but I smoke cloves. They usedto be just over $3 and I remember paying .90 for gas when I started driving... things have changed - and let's not forget the idiot we call President...

Cigarettes and liquor were cheaper as I recall in Europe than here. $1.79/gallon for gas sucks, $45/carton Marlboro Lights sucks worse, and $10US for decent wine. Cigarettes in Europe were about half US prices when I was there, and good wine was $2 or $3 a bottle. Of course if you factor in the exchange rate nowadays. The UK, well, GBP were always killing the dollar but now it's worse, nearly 2:1. Time to start billing in pounds and euros :-)

California/New York/Massachusetts ARE Europe.

Socialist welfare states are no place for a sovereign individual.

Time to move to a place that treats their 'residents' as customers and tries to meet their customer's needs. I would not go to a store that gave me what they thought I wanted, why would you live in a state/country that treats me as livestock.

As an aside, cigarettes are $8 a carton here and gas is $1 a gallon.
