More 'fun' with iBill

Just to pass along an update regarding my ongoing 'fun' with iBill lately in my renewed attempts to claim revenues owed to us from last year.

Subsequent to Mitch Siegel from iBill posting here in GFY that he would handle any inquiries about back revenues owing, I went ahead and contacted him.

We're now up to 5 emails having been exchanged at this stage. Despite providing him with email attachments of iBill's own webpage that clearly indicates the amounts owing to us, he continues to send emails asking us to send documentation to illustrate the amount.

Instead of paying the amount owed, instead he spams me in his email by constantly asking if we'll consider using iBill again as a transaction processor. How fucking galling is this?!?

I've replied to the spam with - "Let's get the revenues that are owed paid first before we'll even consider using iBill again as a processor." But after saying that, his very next email asks once again if we'll consider using them.

Still no payment.

The 'fun' continues...nothing ever changes.

they are using that same tactic with a few very good friends of mine. they want to use your money as bait to get you processing again so they can make money to pay people. it is obvious they don't have money to pay everyone out and start over. i've heard this from a few places.

Just curious...

Isn't ibill the largest shareholder in XTV, wouldn't that mean everyone that ibill owes money too technically owns a bit of XTV

They own 22.2%, not sure if that makes them the largest shareholder, but it's pretty significant.

So I should be anticipating a phantom shareholder dividend check from XTV very soon, too

After an exchange of EIGHT emails between myself and Mitch Siegel at iBill, this morning I received this email:

------------------------------

Hello,

Regards,
Internet Billing Company

------------------------------

".....regarding you account" (real professional business correspondence there, Mitch)

For a failing company that is trying desperately to project a positive image to the industry - this is definitely not the way to go about it. They bait us in to wasting our time contacting them with the hopes of eventually getting our revenues from them...only to pull stunts like the one above.

There you have it folks. The current state of iBill in a nutshell.

As if we all needed a reminder, huh?

So Mitch was a bot or jumped of a bridge after realising the shit he got into.

This story never ends does it.

One day a new CEO hops along on a tradeshow and one ex-Ibill customer will freak.

This is a total loss? I doubt that money will ever be paid out. I am not going to comment on this much further?

It is sad though considering that IBill was once one of the biggest and best.

Its bad enough that iBill refuses to pay webmasters what they owe...but then its adding insult to injury to make public posting (such as those by Mitch Siegel and Andrew) that prompt those of us who are owed money to waste even more time exchanging emails in fruitless efforts to resolve things.

My efforts here aren't "crying in my beer" (we've long ago written off the monetary aspect and have since moved on)....but more to keep the public spotlight on these audacious and devious crooks.

Chances are we'll never see a dime of what is owed to us. But if we can help prevent even one webmaster from considering using iBill as a transaction processor - then I'll settle for the cathartic satisfaction of turning away potential business for them.

How many emails must I exchange with mwaldman before his company email is deactivated? Just curious so I know how much time and effort to allocate.

You experience is classic iBill SN!

The level of utter incompetence (or denial - chose which!) is beyond rational - it's just bizzarre.

A guy who has to ask his debtor for documentation illustrating how much he owes... well... it's too sad. Was iBill not the company who were being paid to process and manage client accounts??? Duh??

Seriously, I'd keep giving them rope, but take whatever action you need to recover your debt, and, during this process, if there are any offers from iBill that involve stalling or ceasing legal action, - decline their kind offer and go for the lot plus legal costs and interest as the court permits.

Talking to iBill employees is a total waste of time - they still deviate, lie, find excuses for every occasion. It's a quaint iBill tradition.

Funny that this company doesn't understand the value of good branding and marketing- which is truly a shame because this company has a real potential to get some business back and yet they screw it up by holding people's money hostage.

I have three ideas off the top of my head that can make IBill a respected and trusted processor- IBill most likely can't afford to pay for my consulting- but if they could , they'd see some real good ideas implemented to get their big boys back- and newbies sending all day...

Remember the Monty Python "dead parrott" routine?? iBill is a dead company with rigor mortis already set in.

Got little doubts they will either (a) end up terminated or (b) be purchased for 10 cents by an unsuspecting buyer and he will spend millions trying to build from scratch.

Want to enter the processor biz? Buy a clean corp, capitalize it will millions and and start negotiating with banks - it's cheaper than trying to revive a dead parrott.

isnt ibill the biggest shareholder in XTV ? couldn't ibill payout its obligations by paying what it owes in stocks ? especially since it seems ibill spent all that money at the exact same time they stole it from thousands of webmasters

Excellent sentiment and one i hope many webmasters will try to emulate.
Lets keep these assholes on page one of all the boards until they pay up or shut up!

They could be salvaged if they paid what they owed. Once everybody that got ripped off was paid up in full, then it would be hard to slam them. I am sure some would still since what happened was inexcusable. But, until then, their name is mudbill.com .

Their tactics obviously defy all business ethics. Its the hallmark of a company teetering on the edge of insolvency - rearranging chairs on a ship that's going down...while still inviting others onboard!

We've been through all this with iBill back last fall. We jumped through hoops, wasted time and money on phone calls, effort spent exchanging emails, being shuffled from one jackass rep to another in a bizarre version of a corporate shell game. Its nothing new. This is merely round II with us.

We put food on their fucking tables since `99 with the fruits of our labour...and this is how we continue to be treated. No gratitude, no accountability...nothing.

I'd dearly love an iBill rep to show up at one of our BDSM trade conventions. Imagine - a large room filled with pissed-off sadomasochistic specialists they owe money to...and an iBill rep. Tell me that's not an entertaining photoshoot waiting to happen.

iBill - Still Trying

You might think I'm a sales rep for iBill. Not the case, however I do have a connection with them. If everyone (this means you) did their due diligence and took a look at the situation, they would see that iBill could have declared bankruptcy. Instead, Interactive Brand Development Inc. (IBDI) bought iBill and took the blame, the shame, and the DEBT. The new iBill is doing it's best to compensate people who had loses. And to a lot of you out there the taste in your mouth is far more than bitter. But you have to understand that in good faith, IBDI wanted to right iBill's wrongs, and reattain the clients who used to believe in their services. I know I'm going to get a lot of Fuck You's for this post, and that's fine. But everyone is given a fair share here, and even though this is my first post, I hope you will all respectfully read what I said and not become hostile. For the record, iBill has scheduled pay-outs for clients who are owed money. So for all you non-believers, keep not believing - but when your check comes your tune might change, and then everyone will see that iBill is back, and this time it is for real.
Please check out this article for more info on IBDI and iBill:

Worst costume I've ever seen, are you an employee of the old dead iBill, because I'd bet none of the new employees are that crazy.

Many of us surpassed "bitter" long ago. Its progressed to sheer hostility and deserved animosity.

You want us to respectfully read what you have to say on iBill's behalf? iBill hasn't done anything that deserves one iota of respect. Despite over a dozen emails exchanged in the past month with half a dozen iBill reps - I'm still no closer to seeing the funds owing to me.

For the record, iBill hasn't scheduled pay-outs for all clients who are owed money. Once again, I still haven't seen a dime of what's over - and its been over a year.

I'm willing to change my tune - but not until the money gets put in to the jukebox.

Until then, promises are like assholes...every iBill rep has one. These occasional public statements to GFY are nothing more than empty face-saving attempts to lure more suckers in your direction.

4themoney, Old Ibill/ New Ibill what is the difference to the webmasters that used the "old ibill" and are owed lots of money?

If IBD bought the assets and liablilities of Ibill, then they still owe webmasters lots of money. I think if Ibill is going forward, they should discuss how they will pay everyone what they owe them. Until them you are only going to get lots of fuck ibill statements. If someone took money from you, and didn't pay you back, you would probably feel the same way.

You could have declared bankruptcy but didn't. Okay, if the old webmasters don't get paid, why do they care if you declare bankruptcy or not? I would like Ibill old or new to clear all of their debts to webmasters. Now that is a platform you could hang your hat on.

What happens when Your Jukebox Plays?

Once your Jukebox is ready to play then what, are you going to come one here and praise iBill. No, You're just going to complain about how long it took to get.

The ghoulish lost soul of a former iBill rep.

Scared the hell out of a few kids...is it wrong for me to tell them not to grow up to be an iBill rep?
