ALL of AEBN's leased feeds are down and tech support doesn't care

A bunch of webmasters using the aebn's leased feeds noticed today the feeds were down. I called tech support and a lady answered she asked the tech about the problem and the tech said I would have to call back on Monday. I hold her she needed to fix the problem because ALL of aebn's feeds were down. She said there was nothing she could do. So I guess all the feeds might be down until Monday unless somehow aebn reads this or somehow finds out about the problem. This is not the first time we have had problems with their feeds and it has become a ongoing problem. I just am shocked when I called and what tech support said. If anyone has any contact info for aebn please post it here.

Thanks,
Mark

Hmm...that doesn't sound right at all...

At the very least I would expect to have the downtime deducted from my bill if they do not have anyone available to fix the problem.

Here is an email response from AEBN.

"i sent this information to my supervisor and it is not that i do not care but nothing can be done until monday."

It is just me or does this seem completly insane?? A million dollar company can't get someone to fix this problem? They would rather lose thousands of dollars and piss off hundreds of webmasters.

hey BluMedia,

I'm not sure why AEBN or their other website Xp**ps has tech people who can't be bothered to keep their service(s) up. I have been using their associate program for about 2 years and I have notice many things... I feel bad for those who are loosing customers because of AEBN's actions. I am most likely going to stop using their "service" because of questionable actions on their end, which I might add is ongoing !!!

I know this sounds bad but if they were not so established I would think it is a 404 error traffic scam for what they are pulling... Yea I know... bad.

Thanks everyone for your time,

Webmaster

I hear you. They have had alot of problems this year and after it got really bad they finally were working good for about 2 months until today. A couple years ago after every update their servers would be crawling. I requested they fixed the problem many many times but nothing was done. Finally I was fed up, I posted on their board and got other webmasters to also complain because they wouldn't upgrade their servers to fix the problem. It has been just ridiculous. If their feeds sucked I would of dropped them years ago. I wish there was something comparible but there isn't.

WoW! Doesn't seem like a content company of their size not to have someone available on standby 24/7 especially AEBN. If they don't have it fixed...I'm sure they will learn from this mistake and make the necessary adjustments in the future.

We at SEXENTERTAIN have someone that can be reached 24/7 a week to take care of any cust problems...I have been personally awke at 4am to take care of cust. issues for a European cust. in the past.

hey BluMedia,

I have went out of my way to deal with the admin at AEBN websites and they treat everything as a f**king joke! As much as I would like to agree with Sexentertain_mike; I really think AEBN or their other website Xp**ps will not get back their customers after the BS that they are pulling !!!

As a AEBN associate I had a problem with Xp**ps because of double standards so I contacted admin directly to have problems cleared up just for the owner and or one of the other admins to block me from gaining access to my AEBN and Xp**ps accounts. They tried to lie to me and said that they had not... and such problems was just server issues... It is worth noting that there websites were both up and function just fine... it was just my accounts!

So as you can see your not the only people getting f**ked around with and as for the pros who depends on such a shit "service"; I'm sure if you get 400+ people getting together with quailty content you would have a much better service. Besides the more there "service" goes down the more of your customers will not return to your website(s) because they think its your responsibility !

If it was not for the fact that I have 159 customers I would drop them like a bad date !

Mine are still down as well

I mentioned this in my post here on GFY... AEBN feeds down - is this 2257 related?

Maybe it really is 2257 related? It doesn't seem like them to be so non caring about their customers.

here is their live chat support link http://server.iad.liveperson.net/hc/...832&byhr ef=1

Your SEO Service Needs to get SEOed...LOL

hey studiocritic,

Visited your website studiocritic{dot}com; Your offering a SEO Service... Hmmm why don't you have any meta tags in your html for the search engines?

I just thought I would point out to you if your finding that your not getting any traffic from the search engines that you should know why ;)

All you have to do is find yourself a online html manual and check out meta tags, pick out some keywords and make sure they are found on your index page, at least a few times, make a short description including a few keywords and create a title including a keyword or two... such sould not take you any longer then an hour or two...

And for gods sake don't spam the search engines by placing "keywords" which are hidden and or repeated a thousand times... because you will get your domain black listed.

Good luck studiocritic,

I represent webmasterparadise.com who also provides plugin content and would say that I am surprised that AEBN, a well respected company, would offer this type of service to its clients - there must be some other reason or you reached the janitor. Please keep us informed so that your members are looked after. Have any of them complained yet to you?

Who is going to fix the mess AEBN is creating ?

hey TheLegacy,

I'm have used there Xp**ps "service" and AEBN associate program and even though there customer service personnel seem to be fine... there technical service has much to be improved on... I might only be a small guy with only 159 customers thought AEBN, but I'm loosing them all due to there servers being ran by retards. With all the money these guys are making just how hard is it to get some professionals in to fix things up for their clients. AEBN has many issues which are very questionable.

If any of the big boys in the industry held AEBN accountable for losses they incure due to AEBNs actions or lack of action, they would be forced out of business...

I don't like to make it a habit of putting down companies however I feel that people should know the truth how they do "business".

Thank you for your time,

I've never used AEBN's leased feeds but I can confirm that their PPV/VOD service has been gradualy going downhill for a while now. I was only disscussing the other day with a web master friend of mine how poor AEBN's customer retention ratio has become and his experiences with them more or less mirrored mine and now it looks like we are far from the only ones becoming more and more dissatisfied with this once solid company.

With more and more PPV/VOD companies hitting the net these days AEBN has really got to pull their head out their ass and sort themselves out pronto.

Don't know about the feeds, but as far as the FHGs go, those damn things are always displaying error pages.... I do random scans on my galleries and AEBN is the only program out there that has constnt problems with their FHGs.. But no other VOD type service offers as many as they do and so we're stuck until someone does. As soon as someone does, I'll start to switch my theatres etc. to someone else.

well I didnt want to give the impression that I was attempting to steal one of their clients but to give them a favorable report - that over the 10 years not much has been said. If your wanting feeds now hit me up and I can set you up within an hour - and since 1998 our feeds have never been down - we don't charge bandwidth though which may be a surprise to you - and we have a new DVD movie each day.

Oh emails are pouring in of members complaining and cancelling. It is just ridiculous that a company is ran like this and they are really heading for the shitter.

Someone post a link of the feeds not working.

Surprising to see one of the biggest long time players in that sector not having a 24/7 tech on call. There must be more to it.

AEBN feeds are not down. About three accounts were turned off for reasons I will not discuss here.

Feed clients whose feeds have been disabled should contact their account rep to get them turned back on.

Customer Service can not work with these specific issues. Again, to be fair to these clients, I won't discuss the specific issues here.

We at SEXENTERTAIN have someone that can be reached 24/7 a week to take care of any cust problems...I have been personally awke at 4am to take care of cust. issues for a European cust. in the past.
Cuz you take your biz SERIOUS
Been using your feeds since 2001 and have had only one hiccup and that was my fault for not getting then the right referring url. Mikes goods are tight!

That is bullshit I talked to someone who had the exact same problem who paid their bill for this month. I emailed billing about a question about my bill and ofcoarse no reponse. So we have done business together since 05-2003 and you're are going to try to tell me you turned off my feeds without notice.
There is also way more than 3 webmasters I know of whose feeds were down.

Mark

Also another webmaster talked with tech support and said there was other webmasters having problems here is what he posted on GWW.

"The woman on the live chat tech support said it could be down for up to twelve hours and beyond that she didn't know

She also confirmed other people are having the same problem"

What's your feed client ID? I'll look up the specifics about your account.
