I don't think 2257 prosecution falls under "civil", it could be "criminal",
I honestly don't know. Unlike the rest of the GFY, I am not a lawyer, don't play one on TV and very rarely stay at Holiday Inn express.

Actually, in THAT case, trial by jury would still be better. IF the government had the gall to prosecute him for CP distribution without any hard evidence AND he could walk into court with the ID's, then I'd go for a judge trial...assuming of course that that's possible.

I thought the sites where blocked for thumbs on the TGP pages, not links. The issue is that DN wants 2257 info for the THUMBS on the sites, as i recall it links where not mentioned. I could be wrong though.

Should be interesting.. I didn't say they were oversights, but from what I saw in the web archives the gal's listed were from sponsors (I see the banner of one flying at the top of GFY right now) that everyone knows don't do "CP". Teen content, and edgy content some of it, I still don't see how that justifies going after the network promoting it and not the sites? Boggles my mind. And how come if Slick was promoting that kind of stuff, the Feds haven't been on his doorstep yet? One would think if there was an active investigation, and the actions of DirectNIC were due to that kind of a reason, the authorities would have been knocking on Slick's door by now? It just doesn't all add up, that's all.

No, I honestly think more people are surprised because Slick was running free hosted galleries and people are going after HIM for it and forgetting the fact that these sites that were being promoted, and in come cases even the thumbs, are provided by THE SPONSORS. I still fail to see how that makes Slick a CP slinger? I know he's very well known in the TGP community and people there are pretty shocked about what's gone down. Thanks Lady Mischief, you speak a very good point there. I only host a thumbnail and link to the free hosted gallery behind it. If people have problems with it, why not confront them and have them show you the docmentation.

I do have faith in all of the sponsors that I promote. I feel that they are repitable people and do have the documents for all of their models.
