So now they just type in the url instead of clicking your link. More money for me! Type ins are through the roof. I like keeping 100% of my sales.

And THAT is what the unintended consequences of exposing the business and how it works to surfers has gotten you.

Robbie, I am not a fan of prechecked cross sales. I think they are shady and unnecessary. But by themselves if they are above the join they aren't the worst thing in the world. But this isn't really about cross sales it's about charging credit cards without authorization. I agree and have said so a thousand times. If a surfer hits a x-sell and doesn't notice it...then they have the option to cancel and even get their money credited back. Hit and miss for the site owner. BUT, if there are x-sells on the cancel and terms of service, I don't agree with that one bit. But you know that a lot of the people on here who are posting shit have NO idea how any of that works and they just post crazy shit like they could actually DO something about it. My point is that people should take a note of it. And if you do not want to promote some site that is pulling that shit...then don't. That's easy. Other than that, it's simply none of my business how another man chooses to run his business. If he gets 1000 chargebacks...it's his ass. He's losing money.

These guys on here that are barely even a part of the business act like they can dictate terms to a program owner. I just don't see how or why they would try that. Just move on and promote someone else. As I said over and over...my goal is, and always has been to promote what SELLS for me. Period.

I like Robbie alot and I can say from meeting him he is a good guy and straight forward. The time I have spent with him, I got a vibe if I made a deal with him his word would be his bond without question. I also think Robbie is in awe of money and doesnt think of the long term effects of fucking a surfer in the ass with a shitload of cross sales.Lets not even talk about how unbelievably stupid from a business stand point or any stand point for that matter it is to bang a surfer up the ass when few willing to pull a credit card in these hard times Hitting some credit card ten times isnt business its fraud. I agree. I've never had a problem with Robbie and think he comes across like an honest businessman. He has a nice site that looks to really cater toward its members and probably retains real well. I think he takes things too personally though. Just because someone disagrees with you doesn't mean they are trolling. It doesn't mean they are broke.

I also don't like the belief that if someone isn't going to shows, posting details of their life, and becoming a public figure that they don't work in the industry. The unfortunate truth is that this industry doesn't go over well with the public. There are many people who make a distinct line between personal and business in this world for good reasons. It would break our hearts to have our kid not able to play with others because "Daddy works in porn", or a wife who gets dirty looks at the supermarket because someone found pictures of her husband partying with pornstars. I personally don't care what someone says about me, but it would be devastating if my actions caused others pain.

But back on topic. I think the word cross-sales shouldn't even appear in these threads. We aren't talking about cross sales. This was a customer signing up at a site and having the credit card passed around from one person to another without anyone knowing. It is no different than those carders who pass around cards in underground forums. This is credit card fraud. This isn't "business". This isn't even really about porn either, porn is just the method being used to obtain the credit card.

So I look at it as a crime. I see it as no different than someone snagging a purse from someone. If I saw that happen, I would speak up. I wouldn't sit back and say "well that's just his business". If people disagree, fine, but I don't see why these discussions have to head into a downward cycle of name calling and displays of loyalty.

The time I have spent with him, I got a vibe if I made a deal with him his word would be his bond without question. Again...if what those guys are doing lead to them getting massive chargebacks, then they will go out of business all on their own. What can you do to make them change their eeevvvviiiillll ways? Nothing. Obviously it does make a lot of money for them. So a bunch of guys posting on an internet message board is going to make the programs making millions and millions of dollars stop because we're worried that Visa is gonna shut us down? I don't see that happening. I've done this a long time. So you know that I'm one of the people in it for the long haul. But newsflash...a lot of the guys doing what you are objecting to, are the same companies that were doing stuff 5 years ago that everybody screamed about. And 10 years ago that everybody screamed about. Yet, they are still in business and making majoy bank. How long do they have to do that before it's no longer "short term"? If Visa decides to do something about it, then fine. Until then there are literally tens of millions of dollars being made and nobody in their right mind is going to walk away from that kind of revenue. If Visa makes it against their rules then so be it. No skin off my back. But the constant attacking against the very people who pay the bills to 99% of the clowns posting is just ridiculous. It doesn't get anything done. What's the end game supposed to be? Are the sites that you and the others dissaprove of supposed to say: "Well, you guys have shamed us into changing. Therefore we will now say goodbye to more money than any of you have ever seen in your lives" Or is someone from GFY going to go to VISA and complain and get it done? Oh, wait a minute....that's already been done. And what the hell was the thinking of that? There were and are only TWO outcomes of that. 1) Visa says "So what" Which is what they have done so far. So you accomplish nothing. or 2) Visa says "HOLY SHIT!" and decides that if our own people are complaining then it IS time to pull out of adult. Do you see any other options? Or any other reasoning for the constant barrage of this shit? Hell, the surfers know about x-sells. If there is any webmaster left on the face of the earth that doesn't know about them now...well, they don't deserve to be a webmaster. So there is NO point in these threads anymore... EXCEPT for the guys who love to start shit and fight all the time. It's a sport to them.
