Not fair. Why would Kevin compete with Boxxy for pedos? I am sure he isn't looking for that kind of fan base. |

Is there a way that this can help "secondary producers"?

For anyone not familiar with the current verdict that has been appealed in Phoenix AZ for Jeff Kilbride and James Schaffer should check out this link and notice that they were also in violation of 2257 recordkeeping.
http://az.findacase.com/research/wfr...3.DAZ.ht m/qx This is very interesting to me, since it's like comparing Al Capone back in the 40's with his crimes. While the DOJ wasn't able to convict Al on the various felonies he had committed, they DID get him on Tax evasion. I don't want to see hard working webmasters get indicted like Jeff and Jim for 2257. I hope in the near future there won't be a witchhunt against webmasters- but I also feel our product will give many the piece of mind they are looking for. It's another layer of protection that most webmasters still haven't a clue about. 2257 is THE LAW. We are here to keep all of your valuable documents with an intuitive solution. I will talk to Dan and see if he can program a script that can pull information from other programs. However, I suspect that ZEI and MAVIS are proprietary and would require reverse engineering -- which I am pretty sure they would say is a violation of their licensing agreement.
Some people I know have used Excel for their database. We should be able to handle that, since exporting is one of the features of Excel. |

Dan here, programmer for 2257Safe and YTracker. It's likely that each major program has their own proprietary way of storing their data and how it's named, etc. I've never had my hands on the other two packages so I don't know what kind of inherent exporting capabilities they may or may not have. If anyone knows whether those other programs can export data then let us know and maybe I can make some kind of script mechanism that we can use to move the records. Since I wrote YTracker I obviously have access to how it stores its data and have some methods already in place to automatically move most of their records in the new 2257Safe format. Anyone that has used Excel would have to send us their files because obviously no two people will be doing it the same way, but I can most likely massage the data out of it and into the new 2257Safe format. Even though a lot of data can probably be exported out, there is no way to export 100% of all data out of anything because model IDs need to be uploaded, model release forms and content, but the main structure of all your information can most likely be massaged out. Again if anyone knows how the other two main programs deal (or not deal) with exporting data let me know and we'll definitely see what we can do as I would expect a number of people interested in moving their records. Either way, we'll try to make it as painless as can possibly be to move your records into the 2257Safe system. Take care, Dan Underhill
