Traffic Dude/ Scott Rabinowitz Issues

Has anyone else here been screwed over by the collapse of Traffic Dude and it's ponzi scheme?

Was wondering if anyone has had contact from Scott or his attorneys? So far we have had a document sent to us only discussing the dissolution of the assets of his boyfriend/business partner Tony. And notification of the Meeting of Creditors. In the meantime Tony is not responsible for the debt with us. Scott and TrafficDude Inc are. So if you know where he is let me know ;-)

Hey Mickey,

I thought I was a friend of Scott's for well over 13 years. ;-)

If any of his contact #s were working or if he had the maturity to be honest with his friends and business colleagues we would not have to resort to a public forum. It is unfortunate I agree.

See you in August I presume? ;-)

How was the company a ponzi scheme? I thought it was a bankruptcy issue?

Ponzi Schemes

Most ponzi schemes are only discovered when they are bankrupt. Then you get the pleasure of uncovering the financial management methodology. If it is simply a case of the business was unsustainable due to market conditions etc. Then that is reasonable. However, when just a week prior to the bk announcement personal assurances that debts would be paid were made by the parties involved, and they were still actively recruiting new clients, I would say there is something not quite kosher about the business.

On another note:

Tony Gallardo called me to let me know that the additional bk info for the corporation and for Scott R. would follow in the next few weeks. So in the end we will have 3 separate cases where they may be attempting to discharge their debts.

That part I didn't know, definitely didn't seem right if they knew they were going to become insolvent and kept operating under the guise that things were fine to get as much money as possible.

Sometimes business people kid themselves about their prospects of surviving business troubles, but hope is not a business plan.

Businesses naturally succeed, and businesses naturally fail.

I think most entrepreneurs are honest.

We were hit for over 30k as well... and just like Morgan we were absolutely assured that things were going to be just fine only days before they announced they were filing bankruptcy.

In fact, we were repeatedly lied to... the wire was sent, the bank lost it, they're tracing it, etc. until they couldn't lie anymore. Now we feel that we were defrauded in order to keep our traffic flowing to their clients to the very end.

It was our mistake for trusting Scott's reputation I guess, but the whole thing stinks to high heaven, and I agree with Morgan about it looking a lot like some kind of Ponzi scheme.

most people when facing bankruptcy try everything to avoid it, I would assume it's why Scott kept going till the very end.

Bankruptcy isn't a joke or a way to steal from someone, it's a person giving up EVERYTHING they own cause they tried everything to make it work and handing their life over to a trustee cause they failed.

I feel for Scott. I know he tried everything he could and I KNOW this has taken a HUGE toll on him.

I know he didn't run away with the money, he legitimately tried with every power and ounce of energy he had to make it work.

I'd work work with Scott again.

He didn't try being honest. They led me around with lies for weeks before coming clean. I would have liked the opportunity to decide whether I should put MY money at risk for his problems. He didn't give me that chance.

Perhaps its taken such a toll because he acted like a shady piece of shit.

I'm sure you're not the only one who got hurt.

But, isn't it hard for it to be a "ponzi" scheme when it has nothing to do with investing?

Maybe I'm missing something but generally its just a matter of not having funds to cover what is owed. That's not ponzi.

But then again, I have no idea what happened with TrafficDude.. so..

Fair enough but IF you had lost say 30K with him as someone posted above would you be telling us that you would do business with him again in the future?

I've been fucked on traffic deals so many times i cant count how much I lost. Some have even made good on it later.

I've also seen many people in this industry fall and rise many times. Its the nature of business unfortunately.

Hope everything works out between everyone
