Photographers - Where do you shoot?
I am working on a solo girl network as some know. I have just been having fun figuring out places where we are going to shoot, for my producer.
Do you take alot of shoots out of the city? whatever you have to work with? a furnished condo? shoot and peoples homes you know? rent some places out for the weekend (can add up) With a solo girl network, would you shoot at multiple homes or could you be creative enough with one? change the bedding and night stand and stuff in the photo? Or if it's a solo girl, do you think they like to see the same stuff in the background to pretend like it's their home? Im talking to the guys working without a full studio with furniture coming in and out. Just want to bounce some ideas off of some people. Thanks |

I shoot a lot of solo girl content as well as hardcore content and I usually rent various locations by the day or for multiple days sometimes- mostly private houses, condos, apartments, mansions and other residences. I also have access to a large studio space which can look like a home or like an office or other sets. I also bring a lot of my own wardrobe in addition to some props like various colorful quilts that I can lay on top of people's beds to film on, plus I change the background up as much as possible with various paintings and accents to add color and variety. That way even if you film in the same room more than once it will look sufficiently different. Plus it's always nice to mix it up with some outdoor shoots.

Im not sure i fully understand the question?
Dident you have girls on contracts already? if so you must be shooting right? I must be misunderstanding something here. If you are only doing studio productions now and thinking about starting to rent locations instead then yeah that would be a great start.... Studios work great for a while, but eventually everything WILL look like a best living magazine. |

I think for solos sites it's cool to make the setting look like the girls' home. Include photographs of friends, music posters, dirty laundry etc...It will create a personal connection between the subscriber and the girl, which is (correct me if I'm wrong) what keeps people from canceling their memberships.

When I first started out we used my house mostly & luckily it looked really girlie so it worked. After a while it got boring, so now I usually rent houses/ apartments for a few days & take lots of props from home (bedding, throws, teddies, picture frames etc) to make it look like people actually live there. I never use the same place twice so it always looks different but we still have the bedroom, bathroom, living room, kitchen sets etc

I am looking at more places to rent. I have a nice condo to shoot at but I am wondering whether you need a studio or not. I don't see my producer using it all that much so I was wondering where you guys did the majority of shooting. To get a feel of whether or not a full time studio is worth it. Exactly like you said, I could see it starting to look like a best living magazine. lol |

Where do you guys generally find homes to rent for the day? I guess through connections? Any other tips?

most of the time i shoot either indoors at the studio.. or out around town ( just a bit outside of town). I am not too much for shooting in town or at hotels. One time while shooting with Eric from TNV, hotel sercurity came and had a hissy fit that we where shooting pics in there hotel room, so some of the casino here in vegas can be picky about shooting..
there are some great locations outside if you have some type of portable lighting system that you can use outside, then outside photography is great and sells really well. |

I use a website called LateRooms.com. You can search for hotels/ apartments by location & date. Some hotels are TOTALLY against you shooting porn there, but with apartments, it's generally a case of do as you please as long as you don't break anything. I would personally avoid using a studio, simply because of how regularly you'll have to change sets. What you'll look at paying to redecorate and fill the studio with new props...you could have rented a nice apartment for a weekend & shot all over it, then simply rent a different place the next time. I guess it all depends what type of content you're looking to shoot.
Here's one of the locations I use: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() They actually know what I do there and are totally fine with it. xx
