I've hired 4 designers here on GFY and were happy with 3 of them. The designs were great, they worked fast, responded to my own design suggestions, and improved my sales and the overall look of my network. But when a "designer" - if that's what you are - goes on and on ranting like a frickin' LOONY then there's something wrong with YOU, my friend. Maybe you just need to get laid.

One of the cleanest most efficient designers, if not the best I've met here. I won't even lie, I can't afford to touch the level of work MetaMan does. If you don't know, you shouldn't be talking. If he wants to talk about being a "big man" at design, he has every right.

You want to test a designer's level of skill, throw them at a big $ mainstream project. I'll tell you right now 99% of the designers in adult can't do a mainstream design for shit...

Well, two things Mr. Cat:

1. You're right about his work, I just looked. But someone as good as MetaMan shouldn't be so fucking INSECURE that he has to go ranting and raving like a loony bird. Maybe it's drugs, who knows? But people with skillz don't have to defend themselves in the way he chose to do.
2. Adult and mainstream ARE two differant animals in that what motivates someone to buy an adult membership - his dick is hard & he wants to orgasm NOW - are not the same parameters as in mainstream. So design is important but it's never "the key". "The Key" is the product you're selling. Design can "get in the way" but it shouldn't be the whole enchilada, if that makes sense.

So perhaps the OP shoud've been more clear that he was looking for a mianstream project from an adult designer, but it's fucking Saturday and I'm inclined to cut people who ACT DECENTLY on this board a little slack. MetaMan may BE "the man" but he's not coming across that way in this thread.

I'm not cheap, but I work with all my clients through the project to assure the end result converts. I offer unlimited changes until my clients are 100% happy. I'm available via phone, Skype or e-mail 7 days a week from 6am est-9pm est.

I have a forum to manage all my clients and I find it to be the most successful way to keep quotes, projects and changes all in one central location. It?s composed of hundreds of private forums for my clients. Once you sign up, I will set you up your own private forum that only you and I can view. This is where I leave links for design previews so they don't get lost in emails or icq's. You are also notified by email whenever I leave a post so you know there is activity. I add all final psds, fonts and zips there in case you need to access them in the future as well.

The Project files (pages) contain everything that is involved in a particular project. Photoshop comps, coded file comps, creatives, fonts, content library, studio recommendations, downloads, isolated 300dpi vector logos, watermarks, galleries, banners, Flash projects,? the works.

All in a beautifully master-crafted, fully searchable, clean, professional atmoshpere style, secure site that any executive would be proud to house his fleet of advertising weapons. (I can also write copy). Your project data is secure in our studio vault, backed up on Caviar Black HDDs in a secure rackmount data cluster.

well.. fris had a hookup i think doing blog design and integration (WP) for 120 or 250 not sure exactly - excellent price, very cheap imho. quality is subjective, so doesn't matter what I think about quality. how much time you think 120-250 can cover of design, slicing, integration and project management?

custom - it takes 1-2 days to produce concept and logo - hopefully with minimal changes after which can take some time - still its taking time.. then have to account if first concept won't be approved and lets say whole thing is demanded to be redone from scratch - can't predict how much time it will take to get an approved concept - can be fast or can take whatever, prices usually based on average time it takes to produce similar jobs overall (btw I'm NOT commenting Zuzana's prices and production). then create rest of pages (blogs are simpler not many unique page templates) then depending on amount of pages and complexity of design it can take from 1-2 days to several days to slice html - two page blog is simple so lets say 1 day job, then integration another 1-2days.. so over all before job starts 1 week must be reserved for the whole process and sometimes it takes longer (it is simpler with blogs as i said before) but its still 1 week job - you demanding someone dedicate full time, making sure your project moving without hickups, going back and forth with modifications and you laugh at 1k cost??? LOL

i know some jobs are simple and there is possibility to create themed blog in 1-4hours - change some colors here and there, some more styling, plaster 20min logo change bg and you set and go. - that probably costs 120-250 altogether. - some cater these kind of jobs, others take design more seriously, and there is demand for both types of approaches. just don't laugh at something you may not understand for what it takes to satisfy you guys.

^^ time estimations based around average time of good productive forces and not absolute, some may work faster some may work slower. I maybe off on some points, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
