This is all SE traffic. May not be the best targeted but it is straight from SE's. I do not traffic trading. If I think back, 2007 and prior I was pushing T/MGPs, and switched over to SEO end of 07 and into 08.

Just need to be innovative and switch things up. Marketing, content, sites, promotions, everything. There are too many things to list that are causing the drop in sales and ratios. Just need to be different and think outside the box. When I get some free time, I'll be brainstorming and trying to come up with some ideas to improve my overall marketing in adult.

All in all, stop complaining and do something about it.

Ok, so most of you are in porn but I for example run foot/nylon fetish related web sites (which used to be vely well converting) with very high quality photos and this content isn't available for free apart from some crappy poor quality amateur clips on youtube and I have the same situation. First I thought people lost interest in this niche so I opened a channel on youtube and posted a few 1min. long promo clips from my web sites. And guess what - If I had as many subscriptions to my pay sites as I have to this free channel I would be very rich today. Also I reduced prices of one of my pay sites to a minimum today and I'm waiting to see what's going to happen. Conclusions?

There's also one more thing I'd like to discuss here regarding free porn. Do you remember when Metallica took Napster to the court of law? They won this lawsuit and if other corporations and webmasters did the same thing with fucking tubes and other sites violating every existing audio/video copyright on this planet we wouldn't have these problems nowadays. And do you know who's going to be next? Movie corps because when Avatar was still in theaters I could watch it for free on the Net. So soon people won't be going to cinemas, they'll just be waiting for a movie to be available for FREE on the INTERNET.

There are others of us that produce foot and nylon content. <although not that many on here... How would a fetish lose popularity? That is not the case. Things are just pretty thin everywhere. I do think that it is more economically driven than many people are giving it credit for..

It also confirms that the situation keeps on going all week and that is really weird. I remember last year also a slowdown for 3 or 4 days but it turned back on after that. But right now it doesn't. I checked with my 2 main sponsors to see if they had more decline reasons from ccbill but they both told me that they had ZERO declines from ccbill this week. They also confirmed the slow down this week.

It looks like all the surfers are hypnotized to not sign up...

I had good hopes for this weekend but at this time I don't have much good hope anymore... At this present time 0 sales while on a normal Saturday I have already 4 or 5 at this time... This is NO good situation...

Regarding banks...I read a few threds on this forum about Ccbill not approving transactions. I'm with Verotel and they always accepted more sales than any other processor, especially Ccbill and the situation is still the same: NO SALES. I mean c'mon, there's something weird going on here...we're not talking about 50K deals here, it's just $20 or so per membership and I don't believe people can be that poor. There's recession, not poverty. People are still travelling, buying food, cars etc...

I know CCBILL does send an email each time a transaction is denied.

Do you, as a program owner, see more denials than normal?
Do you see an increase of emails from CCBILL that transactions have been denied?

because to be unstable like you mention seems very odd to me

especially when you said 25+ tues and like 4 on wed and back to 18 the next day

are most of your sales type ins or from affiliates? whats the split typein/affiliates 60/40 75/25 ?

Well, the short answer is 'yes' I get emails, and I've noticed a shitload more than usual.
The "long" answer, tho, is more informative:
I use cascade billing, with CCBill first, then Epoch second (and soon to be Zambaio third). I've had some issues with the cascade system - bugs, mostly - and as I do a lot of switcheroo-ing I've been on top of CCBill like on a daily basis sometimes to make sure everything is working properly (including denial emails). (Sorry CCBill for being a pain but sometimes it has to be done.)

First and foremost: 'fucked up'? You bet, which is why I'm paying attention to it so much. LOL

About denials: my sites do very, very consistent numbers. I tweak and tweak the Tours until I get as much juice out of the lemon, so to speak. So some sites do great, some so-so, etc. But at least they're STEADY. So as long as the sales and denials "add up" to my "normal"-ish conversion ratio, I'm more-or-less cool with it. It's understandable why sales are down if denials are up and the number of "join attempts" remains relatively equal. Whats frustrating is, since April, i send more traffic and sales remain steady, but denails are going up. So this tells me it's a credit thing, or a bank thing (almost same thing). Out of my control. It ALSO tells me the new landscape may be: work twice as hard to maintain your average sales. Now, if it gets to be work THREE times as hard to maintain, then FOUR times as hard to maintain, where's the breaking point? A differant answer for everyone, I suppose.

Join hits: On my tours I have two join pages under my control (before the surfer gets taken away to a cc processor's join form). Some tours only have 1. My 'flow' is fucking fantastic as a huge number of ppl who stay on my tours for more than 30 seconds tend to go all the way through to the 'final' join page.

So this traffic is as steady as ever. Now when it comes to the cc processor's Join forms it's a differant story. Wild swings, as stated above. On one of those 'dead days' I described (4 sales after a 25+ sales day) I've had as many as 800+ form hits to Fellucia Blow with only 4 sales. Number of denials: 33 LOL

Okay, that was a record day. LOL But still, wild ratios so it's either THEIR join form is loading slow as shit or the banks aren't letting orders through. Whatever, it's weird and have noticed it now on a weekly basis, sometimes twice a week.

Talk about depressing! You work your ASS off 7 days a fucking week - look at me now, working at 7 pm on a Sat. nite for fuck's sake - and yet it appears like I only get sales 5 days a week! LOL Man, i should start taking weekends OFF...

BLAME sites like extreme-board, pornbb dot org, AWEMPIRE or PAYPAL...

The first two are illegal forums with complete site rips of most paysites... The two others are One a cam sponsor supporting illegals sites and the other a PROCESSOR, PROCESSING and accepting donations for EXTREME-BOARD...

again, BLAME those sites... NOT CCBILL, the banks, or others...

Yes last few days my sales have been sucking, after the 15th (as always) they take a dive, but this time a little more extended.
Now is a good time to think "will i make it thru the summer" cuz you all now how that goes. And if you say Yes, then start your plan of attack for September now.

Also something I have been doing is making sure surfers know about the inherent dangers of illegal tubes and torrent sites. I've made pages, posts all kinds of things and put them out there. Trust me, this stuff gets around and what i state is completely true.

A person posted here not too long ago that he had polled 1000 surfers on why they would pay for porn and the number one answer was "because I DONT TRUST tubes and torrents. too many viruses, malware, spam emails." All of this is true and there are numerous linkable cases of tubes and torrents loading people's computers with nasty shit.

So I capitalize on that and spread it around. Its a small way to fight back, but imagine if 1000 webmasters made posts and pages to the same effect?

and btw i don't try to sound scary, i just state facts and push the positive side of joining a legit paysite.

That's the frustrating part: we can just watch and see what is happening. My traffic numbers reach records and I get only a few sign ups. Strange thing is also I am getting sign ups now for programs that I send only a few hits per day and those make the very 1st of 2nd sign up for this year while the main programs where I send a shit load of traffic do NOT convert at all...
It is just impossible that those programs are dead as I made tons of cash with them untill last week...
It is just like all surfers are hypnotized...

The only good thing is that there are other honest webmasters that confirm the same issue... I hope for you and for me that this situation will change A.S.A.P.

Everyone is overlooking what is going on around the world. The financial markets are falling apart with The Euro, The American stock exchange, Countries on the brink of bankruptcy and so on.

People are getting scared that we are heading into another dip in the global recession. Then add to that summer is almost here so people are saving money for vacations, still paying off Xmas and so on. Then add all the free porn that's out their. Not good for us.

I had good hopes for a good weekend but right now it's a total disaster.

I know this may sound crazy, but I have not seen ANY changes in my overall sales for around 8 months now!

I only have a handful of affiliates, which account for approximately 1/3 of all sales, and my program is very small in comparison to what is out there, but seriously... NO CHANGES WHATSOEVER IN 8 MONTHS! A few sales a day, every single day, for 8 months.

This is part-time for me, and I would love more affiliates and more sales, but I am not complaining at all - a little extra consistent income every week is a good thing!

Kind of bizarre that there have been absolutely no changes in sales numbers over 8 months though....

May not be the best targeted but it is straight from SE's. I do not traffic trading. If I think back, 2007 and prior I was pushing T/MGPs, and switched over to SEO end of 07 and into 08. Just need to be innovative and switch things up. Marketing, content, sites, promotions, everything. There are too many things to list that are causing the drop in sales and ratios. Just need to be different and think outside the box. When I get some free time, I'll be brainstorming and trying to come up with some ideas to improve my overall marketing in adult. And guess what - If I had as many subscriptions to my pay sites as I have to this free channel I would be very rich today. Also I reduced prices of one of my pay sites to a minimum today and I'm waiting to see what's going to happen. Conclusions? There's also one more thing I'd like to discuss here regarding free porn. Do you remember when Metallica took Napster to the court of law? They won this lawsuit and if other corporations and webmasters did the same thing with fucking tubes and other sites violating every existing audio/video copyright on this planet we wouldn't have these problems nowadays. And do you know who's going to be next? Movie corps because when Avatar was still in theaters I could watch it for free on the Net. So soon people won't be going to cinemas, they'll just be waiting for a movie to be available for FREE on the INTERNET.

A person posted here not too long ago that he had polled 1000 surfers on why they would pay for porn and the number one answer was "because I DONT TRUST tubes and torrents. too many viruses, malware, spam emails." All of this is true and there are numerous linkable cases of tubes and torrents loading people's computers with nasty shit. So I capitalize on that and spread it around. I only have a handful of affiliates, which account for approximately 1/3 of all sales, and my program is very small in comparison to what is out there, but seriously... NO CHANGES WHATSOEVER IN 8 MONTHS! A few sales a day, every single day, for 8 months. This is part-time for me, and I would love more affiliates and more sales, but I am not complaining at all - a little extra consistent income every week is a good thing! Kind of bizarre that there have been absolutely no changes in sales numbers over 8 months though....
