Sort of puzzled on NATS stats. I'm showing lots of 'join page' hits on several programs.

Also showing dozens of "JOIN SUBMITS' every week ... but NO MONEY.

WTF does "JOIN SUBMITS" mean? And, is it all bad credit cards and/or ????????

Sort of misleading like it's saying the surfers are submitting to join ... but ???????

Anyone know the answer???????

Join submits means they filled out the "pre-join" form, the page that most sponsors have that just ask for them to create a username and password and type in their email address and click "submit" which then takes them to the credit card input page. That's considered a "join submit"

"Join page hits" occurs when the surfer clicks to the pre-join page either by clicking the "join now" somewhere on the tour, or maybe they clicked a thumb that was blind linked to the pre-join page.

If you are getting alot of join submits and no sales, just means your surfers are backing away at the last second for whatever reason, either they are scared of the price the way it's shown on the page where they type in the credit cards, or they don't have a credit card or whatever.

Nothing misleading about it.

Thank you gleem ... that explains it a little more. Sort of weird the way they are doing it and it is 'sort of misleading' appearing to be someone who tried to join but got turned away.

i still think there is some other factors , like how the sponsor sets up the tracking , because i have noticed on some sponsors, i send equal hits to 2 diff sites but the tracking is completely different, not inline with surfer trends.

example.

i send 1000 hits to pornsiteA.com and 1000 hits to pornsiteB.com ( both under the same sponsor ). One may have a huge difference in joinhits/join submits, too big of a difference to be surfer selection , seems more like one site doesn't track join hits properly.

Well speaking for myself, I tend to blind link to join pages less often and sometimes I change it up and see if ratios go up if I get the surfer to the join page faster so I add some blind join page links.

So Site "A" could have every thumb on his tour linked to the join page creating 100 blind links to the join page guaranteeing 75% of your uniques will hit the join page.

Site "B" could have a clean site where the only things that are linked to the join page are actuall text/graphics labeled as "Click here to join" so you end up with 10% or less of your uniques hitting the join page.

899 join hits
697 submits

that doesn't sound right at all considering the raw-joinhit ratio

p.s. the actual joins for 697 join submits was 2 signups

see and I have sites that look like that, others like this (real example)
raw -- join page -- submits -- sales
30,248 -- 17,252 (57.04%) -- 210 (1.22%) -- 43 (0.25%)
218,671 -- 49,031 (22.42%) -- 367 (0.75%) -- 136 (0.28%)

the percentages are again unique clicks... so from my tests you can see more aggressive join page linkage doesn't make much difference in the end result (sales/uniques)

that is very low, if we can say they dont think its free reg. form, so they jump out after they see the price

NATS tracks data differently, depending on how you set it up.

Some people track 'raw' data, and others only track 'qualified' data. Qualified means it passed all of the pre-registration bits to actually attempt to signup. Raw could be anything. The difference between Raw and Qualified is essentially ratio based - raw could be garbage/bot traffic thrown that will make yoru ratios look like shit, and qualified tracks only the data which was actually 'good enough' to be sent through (if applicable) to the prejoin form.

Personally, I prefer qualified because it gives you real numbers, but it will never match 'raw' traffic as you see from a traffic broker.

yes, missed that, 697 join submits and 2 signups is retarded, either the submit stat is off or they just have it under the wrong heading.
