Shit!!! You might better stay in adult biz!

After reading this article I wonder if going offline is a good idea or even possible.

It's going to get tougher. So many countries need a huge turn around to get down their deficit.

This is the "Summer of Growth". A good amount of the US stimulus money is being spent in a short time this summer. Turn around is right around the corner!

I've often wondered that same thing. Especially when I come back from a summer weekend and see the same names in almost every single thread.

What whine, just waiting for the CHANGE Obama promised in 08

Just waiting for the CHANGE the democrats promised in 06

When did the economy take a shit? oh yeah, 06

You can keep your change

I still find it incredibly humorous that you are so upset about the "lack of change" from Obama, yet seem to have no problem with what it is you want to "change" and why it needs "changing" in the first place. i.e. It's BROKEN because GWB fucked it up.

Your discontent is misdirected. Yeah, shit needs changing. Just because the "change" you are wanting to see hasn't happened yet, doesn't automatically mean it never will. Be angry at the guy that caused the need for change... not the guy trying to change it.

AMP, you're running on the assumption I give a shit about Bush, I never thought it was a good idea to go to war with Afghanistan, the USSR tried it and it failed, why should we be any better? I would think that the government had learned something from Vietnam. Iraq, same thing, I was in the military off the coast of Iran in 80, between the fleet and the coast when Reagan took office, I really didn't see a reason why we should do anymore than get the hostages out, which is what happened.
I'm an Independent voter, I just have trouble with the current administration. The 06 ticket promised change, I'm like, YEAH! but what happened? the economy tanked and the CHANGE people didn't do shit about it!
And I'll ask again, when does Obama take responsability for the job he got hired for, 4 years? 5?
So far all he has done is increase the debt, it's been proven, that won't help the economy, he has increased entitlements, that's won't help the economy, now he's pissed at the GOP because he won't vote the way he wants to them to vote. He's a fucking WHINNY BITCH, maybe if he worked with the GOP instead of bashing them every chance he gets, maybe something constructive will get done that will benefit the people instead of just promoting his agenda.

My opinion is simple, I don't give one shit about the GOP vs DEMS, I want these asshole to work together for the country, not their fucking agendas.

Yes I'm pissed at Obama, my right, he's a racist asshole

We can't EVER win in Afghanistan or Iraq, soon as we pull out, it goes back to the way it was with a new leader, the Taliban wins,Al Qaeda wins, we loose because it's destroying our economy

here's a graph of the unemployment rate from 06 when change was promised by the DEMS till present

If you still want to blame it all on Bush, go for it, I blame it on the guy thats in charge, not the one that retired 18 months ago after 2 years of a dem house and senate

We are never pulling out of Iraq & Afghanistan. We aren't there to "win", we are there to control a region for our own purposes. Politicians can run on platforms of "pulling out of the war" all they want, but as soon as they get into office, they are briefed on the way things really are. Why do you think Obama dropped the issue so quickly. As soon as you realize we are never leaving that area until the very last drop of oil is sucked out of the mid-east, the sooner you realize it doesn't matter who is in the office, or what promises they campaign on.

So you're reconfirming one of the lies.
He actually rates higher among voters in polls for the way he's treating the wars, yet you're telling me we will never pull out which is not what Obama is telling people, even though it's killing US soldiers and the cost is ruining our economy.
Like I said on many occasions, he's a bad leader

And doing so, you are directly linking Bush to Obama by the way they are handling the war

Whether he is a bad leader or not, the alternative (McCain & Palin) was obviously too frightening for the majority. Nor does it matter. Anyone else in the office will be "schooled" the same way. Until we get off oil, oil is and will remain our top priority above all else. Whatever excuses they used to get us there are also irrelevant. They got us there, that's what mattered at the time. It was never about giving a shit about any oppressed people or looking for WMDs or hunting down Osama. If we don't control the oil, we are controlled and held hostage by it. Obama is just the public face of our country. Some agendas are bigger than the Pres.

The reason Obama got picked over McCain was Obama wasn't Bush

As far as the oil, I agree, but forcing the country to go green when the economy is SHIT is the mark of an idiot
We should be drilling in ANWR, we should be using new technology drilling in the ocean, and we should have regulation of oil companies that do more than line the politicians pockets. Then we can get rid of the dependence, and at that point, our economy can support going to greener fuels.

Pubic face or not, he's still an asshat

If we were to drill for our own oil and even supply other countries, the middle east would go bankrupt, kinda like Reagan did with Starwars in bankrupting the USSR

All that oil goes on the open market. Same as BP's Gulf oil.

I totally believe that Obama's White grandmother(who did a lot to raise him), died the
night before his election because she just couldn't bare to hang on to see her

She knew what was coming and she knew seeing it would be more painful than her death.

McCain lost because independents jumped ship and voted form Obama once
McCain demonstrated his incompetence to choose a running mate.

HA!

You're crazy if you think intelligent independents didn't make a difference in this election.
They wanted to vote for "the best"; and not vote out of blind loyalty for a political party.

McCain single handedly fucked his campaign by picking the worst republican female in
the entire bunch. McCain could have pick one of his female campaign managers and
done way better. Don't forget that Gov. Palin resigned and left her state hanging.
Palin is nothing more than pure "self interest". She proved it by abandoning her state.

Guess I just imagined the BEER SUMMIT
Guess I just imagined the way the Israels Prime Minister was treated.

Stop thinking that Black people get a pass on being a racist, most racist people I've ever met are Black
And shouting it at the top of your asshat voice, doesn't disprove the facts.

Instead of shouting BullSHIt, try debating facts, I know it's a stretch for you, but try it

I totally remember the beer summit and it was held after a stupid cop arrested a
60+ year old college profession inside his own home for burglary.

Obama was the first president ever to tell the truth about some cops.

"They acted stupidly".

Once the guy showed his identification that stupid cop should have left the property.
But he was too busy trying to show this "uppity nigga" who was boss.

Your discontent is misdirected. Yeah, shit needs changing. Just because the "change" you are wanting to see hasn't happened yet, doesn't automatically mean it never will. Be angry at the guy that caused the need for change... not the guy trying to change it.

but if you're going to accuse someone else of being ignorant(which you are right to do so in this instance), at least don't be overly ignorant yourself.

It's not broken because GWB fucked it up. It's broken because a majority of the Presidents in the 20th century kept renewing the stupid, bullshit laws their predecessors passed instead of either fixing them/improving them, or repealing. It's broken because government intervention doesn't work consistently. There will always be recessions as long as we have a mixed economy.

A recession like this doesn't happen over the course of 7 1/2 years or build up... and the housing market is really the only thing that fucked up crazy bad, which then fucked the banks... which then fucked people outta getting money... blah blah blah.

Moral of the story is.. stop blaming the guy with a D or R in front of his name because the other one is in front of yours.

And I also despise GWB... and Obama is getting pretty close to that level before you try to spout some "lol conservatard" bullshit.

It's more like White revenge set in.

"White Revenge" Definition :

After being blamed for slavery and Jim Crow laws and being portrayed as racist
around the world; some Whites today resent that and are trying to get revenge by
portraying Blacks as the racist who hurt Whites.

Keep trying and you might just get what you wanted as Blacks with weak minds
fall into hating you for your slanderous and insulting slant of history and current facts.

I'm one of those independents who voted for Obama.

Registered Republican, but.. the social conservative bullshit is bullshit. Socially liberal/fiscally conservative here.

I fully agree with you. GWB was the last contributor to the fucking it up though. The only thing I'm concerned with, is the gov not fucking things up worse. If a candidate or Pres can do that... just not fuck it up any more... I'm down for that whether they're blue or red.

If we were to drill for our own oil and even supply other countries, the middle east would go bankrupt, kinda like Reagan did with Starwars in bankrupting the USSR
The middle East would continue selling oil to other countries if the usa stopped importing oil from that region. I seriously doubt they would just go out of business.

What you wrote about Reagan is ironic. Not only did he help to bankrupt the USSR, he also helped to bankrupt the USA too.

You exaggerate the benefits of increased oil supply (and thus reduced oil prices) on the overall economy. Lower oil prices would not change the fundamental problems of the American economy. The fundamental problem is overconsumption: too much government spending (through bank credit), too much consumer spending (through bank credit), too many workers wasting too many natural resources by producing too much unnecessary stuff for too many unnecessary people (only bubble economies can create high population/economic growth and low unemployment but its usually unsustainable).

All the credit and debt which has been issued since the Great depression, has spurred unsustainable human population levels and unsustainable economic production. The only way to return to low unemployment is:

1. reinflate the bubble with even more bank credit (but it will almost certainly burst again)

2. reduce the number of workers and future workers (let them die and dont allow them to reproduce)

The good news is that technology and productivity has advanced so much that we may not even need low unemployment to be a highly productive society which continues to advance. Large numbers of people can live on meager government assistance. But excessive population growth (especially in the unemployed population) could become a serious future problem.

Those regs were put into place after the big 1929 crash that caused the great

Reagan "helped" the economy by allowing banks to "finance wealth" far in advance
with no regard to the possibility that people would/could not pay it in the future.

The future is here motherfuckers.

And you ain't getting paid.

Reagan's plan was not perfect, but I was working in LA and got a lot out of Reaganomics by working high rises in down town for about 7 years. At the end of his presidency, we were doing pretty good, but again, it wasn't perfect and the route that the current administration is taking is completely wrong imho

If you look back at my post, I said we would sell oil to other nations, I feel if we made some deals where they bought our oil instead of oil from the middle east, along with other considerations, we could bankrupt the middle easy, remember Dubai just had to get a loan to keep afloat
