why doesnt HELMET or whatever his name is add a .kid and block everything else. Sort of like a big public pool where they fence off a part for children. So the .kid tld would be as far as they would be able to navigate. Then the parents, with a simple setting could enable the other tld's when they surf. But this is too practical and there is no money in it that's why this entire thing is a sham and HELMET with little stamp of approval (like it counts anyways these days, he's so '96) is supporting .xxx

I think it was Danni Ashe who originally suggested that .kid was the way to go years ago. But yeah, there is no money in that even though it would TRULY BE THE WAY TO GO in protecting children. Imagine putting your kid in front of a computer and leaving him alone to have fun KNOWING that the only sites he can access once you've set everything up, are sites with a .kid domain. You'd have nothing to worry about.

Personally I say we come up with some kind of codeword that we shout at lawley everytime we see him so as to let him and everyone within earshot know our displeasure and that we as an industry DO NOT SUPPORT .XXX.

Hell... take it one step further and protest his presence there. Schedule a sit in, bring a bull horn and protest against lawley, .xxx and his supporters. Wouldn't that make for a nice photo / video opp. and live on in Fubar infamy?

Not to mention it'll send our message to him LOUD AND CLEAR.

Too many people quietly sucking his dick both publicly and privately to get a couple of bucks.

Kinda like that brazzers thread going right now . . .

That is a very good idea! If we were attending, I would have no problem filming it and putting it on youtube ....

And people should include Helmy and his side kick Joann to the list of people to boycott and protest against......

I am sure they already have things in place to remove anyone that is disorderly......they seem to be good at censorship!

I have been spending ad money with Xbiz for many years now. Starting next month, I'm pulling it and urging other advertisers I personally know to do the same.

There is but one way to deal with a company like xbiz and that is to cut all funds to them.

Transparency oooops how does that foot taste in your mouth?

Well i visit GFY not that often, but what is funny about this thread is who started it, it would seem that someone has put there foot in there mouth.

I was very big into the .xxx opposition a few years back..did some digging and found out some great dirt...

Here is what i suggest that these people who say they are not involved with .XXX do:

1. Transparency
2. Honesty

Follow the money people it never lies, this case you have some cleaver corp set up's but not to hard to pierce through. I guess in my opinion you can decide who really cares about you, and who is looking out for you right?

Some down right shady back room deals that went down years ago...

Agreed.... and I'm wondering if some of them are still going on?

I'd like to think that anyone who secretly backed .XXX would pay for it by losing the support of those of us who are against .XXX and see it for the threat that it is... but I'm not yet convinced that justice always prevails like that.

Still, opposition to the .XXX TLD is one of only a couple of topics that really does seem to have the ability to unite large groups of us. And yup Mike, I'll always remember how hard you fought against .XXX -- you definitely get it.

To be honest with you... if .XXX did get passed for some reason, your idea here is without a doubt the best response our industry could make. Push for as many GENERIC tld's as possible for porn, and who would been a sponsored TLD then like .XXX? It would seriously mess with the .XXX agenda.

I still think just stopping .XXX is the best way to go though.

I think Quentin beat you to it in a thread I started a few weeks back with his .GiveQMoney ideal.

The thread was about the fact that ICM is trying to define the "sponsoring community" as only the people who support them, and not the adult community.

Yeah I wonder how Disney.PORN or Vatican.GAY or Republican.BLOWJOB would work out.

Just give me lots of $$$s, and I will block people from using them(maybe, as some conditions may apply)

Can sheeple say "defensive registrations" at $60/year or one time fee for $250.

Take how many companies/brands/products/organization, and multiply by all those naughty porn TLDs that they don't want to be associated with.

And just for fun we throw in a whole bunch of non-porn bad words.

A huge multi-billion dollar business that only extorts money from people.

I agree.....like I mentioned earlier, I am finished with the ASACP and the people who run it, they know who they are and all of them can kiss my fucking ass.....

Oh, and lawley, well....he can suck snot out of a donkeys ass for all I care

Good on you for pulling your ads. I do not know how far X-Biz is involved with the .XXX, but giving that fat worthless fuck lawley a platform to spew his nonferrous shit from is low as they come, not to mention them being a group of hypocrites.......

I know 1 sponsor who is contributing to ASACP
When I informed this sponsor about the fact he has a ex convicted rapper of a minor as affiliate, they told me they dont mind, he should have a second chance
I emailed this affiliate his other ASACP sponsors as well, inc a screen shot of the court records and prove of my statement.

They all dont care

Why would anyone mind a rapper? I prefer punk music but rap isn't *that* bad.

For the record:

1. ASACP is a 501(c)(4).

2. Therefore no one owns it.

3. No such deal has been made.

4. The Advisory Council reviews and votes on all key matters pertaining to ASACP.

5. Review this link as well.

What's being implied is that the xxx TLD will one day be forced on the industry where every single adult website/blog will have to get one. Well at least in the United States. If that day ever comes, what will your statement be when asked how it feels knowing you helped destroy your own industry?

Stuart Lawley is a complete porn outsider but was still allowed on XBiz.net. I thought there were strict rules as to who gets in and who doesn't.

This is the same industry that still welcomed Larry Schwarz even after everything he is allegedly accused of doing to his own children.

First off, Helmy and ASACP do not care, it's all about the money....time for others to boycott the ASACP due to what I call nonferrous acts AND a good start would be to pull all the bogus labels they have convinced others to place on their website?s for their so called cause.
What is their cause? Is it to protect children from porn or to stuff their pockets with money based on a bogus campaign like lawley is proposing? It sure looks like money is the key to all of this

It seems X-Biz does have "selected rules" as to who they deem part of the industry....after all, they allow lawley "which is NOT part of the industry? to spew his horse shit and window dressing on their board, then on the other hand they won't allow Mike South on the board to say his piece about .XXX and he is part of the industry. I would say they are hypocrites and love to sensor......nothing more.

Funny how that idiot Helmy can come here to call someone out that is banned from this board, and at the same time they won't approve him so he can voice his opinion on the X-Biz board.

I got invites by Helmy and someone else to join that board when this thread started but have no interest in discussing anything with idiots like helmy, lawley, Joan Irvine or the ASACP cronies.

What I want to know is what Lawley offered Christian groups such as the American Family Association.

Have you ever read their charter?
Quote:
Today there is no one authoritative body representing the online adult
industry. On the contrary, many adult webmasters are small independent or niche
operators who do not actively participate in any forums. The majority of these
smaller operators tend to affiliate with larger companies that provide a full
range of turnkey solutions (such as content, services, transactions
information, news) much of which is typically private-labeled before being
presented to the consumer.

SUPPORT

Over the past four years, ICM has worked with the key constituents within the
Community to develop support for the concept of a non-profit entity
representing responsible members of the online Adult-Entertainment community.

http://www.icann.org/en/tlds/stld-apps-19mar04/xxx.htm

Lawley is going to "save" us.

This will do the complete opposite in helping kids. It won't protect them at all but will help kids find porn better! You're going to point an arrow and tell these kids "hey there it is". Then these kids will bypass the filters the parents set up or just go over a friend's house to watch porn.

You all saw piracy coming years in advance and did nothing to stop it. Now look at the mess you allowed to happen! Now you all see the future catastrophe xxx will create and many are jumping on board in SUPPORT of it. And people have the nerve to say I'm anti-porn! The people who are supporting xxx are anti-porn!! I'm only against the abuse and mistreatment porn stars go through everyday by the people who run this industry. Anyone who supports xxx are approving of the dismantling of the industry you claim to support. Watch what will happen if a Republican gets into office and he'll make it a law that you all need to buy xxx which will put you all into a corner ready to be banned & blocked by states and countries.

Title: Leaders in the Online Adult Industry Support .xxx

I write this to communicate my support for the .xxx TLD proposal. I write as an experienced member of the online Adult Industry and have been since 1995.

I currently own an Internet marketing company specializing in adult website marketing since 2001. Prior to that I was President of IGallery, as subsidiary of New Frontier media, a NASDAQ listed company from 1996 to 2001 and prior to that was VP of Marketing for Hustler launching its flagship site in 1995.

I am also a director of the Free Speech Coalition since 2001.

All these companies share one belief ... that child pornography is illegal, it is morally wrong and it should be stopped. This application demonstrates that belief and that the adult industry is prepared to both do something about child pornography and open up a dialogue with the broader Internet community.

.xxx offers an opportunity for the online adult industry act responsibly.

It provides a new forum and platform for the online adult industry to begin to self-organize and to develop their own credible and responsible business practices.

I have personally met with many of the leaders in the online adult community from around the world ... from Python Communications in Curacao ... to Netcollex in the UK ... to Hustler, Vivid, AVN and many many more have all demonstrated their support for this application.

In addition, there is great concern about the risks posed to the industry if .xxx was to ever become a generic TLD.

No other application has stronger industry support or as broad and diverse a community of International supporters from all impacted stakeholders.

This article brings up the point about Congress getting involved

Protecting children

This is not just a theoretical concern. Back in 2000, before Lawley got
involved as president, ICM Registry applied to run the .xxx domain. But
ICANN shot down the proposal.

It didn't take Congress long to get involved. At a hearing in February 2001,
Rep. Fred Upton, R-Mich., demanded to know why ICANN didn't approve .xxx "as
a means of protecting our kids from the awful, awful filth which is
sometimes widespread on the Internet." Sen. Joseph Lieberman, D-Conn.,
griped to a federal commission that .xxx was necessary to force adult
Webmasters to "abide by the same standard as the proprietor of an X-rated
movie theater."

So, who should be on the "pro" side of the panel, and who should be on the "cons" side of the panel? Sorry I am a little bit slow. Has anyone figured it out yet?

Maybe ICANN needs a PRESENT updated list of which past supporters actually STILL support .xxx ????????

We common folks might also like to see a present list of so-called supporters

You would think this information should be accessible for public viewing public, wouldn't you?

I think there is a confusion above between the panel of the show in Miami and the board of Asacp

I dont want to cannibalize this thread, I just posted details of the seminar here:

Well why doesn't GFY unban him and give him a voice here? He's been in the industry forever and you can bet this thread would light up more than it is now.

BTW gfy... you can remove the xbiz summer forum banner... it's been over for 2 months.

That is exactly why the chicken shit came here to call out Mike South and then ran away with his kotex stuffed between his legs. Not only that, helmy has his good ole butt slapping buddies over at the other board who practice censorship by not allowing Mike South to post so he could drill the dirt bag lawley, helmy and their side kick Joan.....3 worthless fucks
I would really like to hear about some of the info Mike South has on these people.

I vote to lift the ban and let him speak.....
