So private citizens can't have an FFL? ![]() ![]() ![]() From your link: "A Federal Firearms License, (FFL), is a license that enables an individual...." So, what's wrong with him asking you if you have an FFL? I mean, other than the fact that if you had one you would not have gone to Gander Mountain since you could have ordered direct from the distributor. Seriously you guys...The ignorance in this thread is unbelievable. |

Guns like Mossberg Cruisers; shotguns without shoulder stocks are considered to be "firearms" rather than long guns and are restricted by federal law to persons 21 and older. Handguns may only be purchased by persons 21 and older. All firearms purchasers must fill out From 4473 and pass the NICS background check. If the instant check fails, there is a five business day wait while the NICS system fumbles around with things but when you are cleared, they call the dealer, otherwise if nothing is heard from them, at the end of the five business day person, you may pick up for firearm without further delay. There is no restriction on ammunition other than certain types of armor piercing. Kansas is also an NFA state. Sally. |

WTF is your problem? The man asked IF you had an FFL. NOBODY said you needed an FFL. YOU said YOU purchased the shotgun from Gander Mountain. That means it was NOT a private purchase and a form 4473 is REQUIRED by FEDERAL law. Compared to idiots like you, I am a "gun God." ![]() |

I'm gonna get all crazy up in here with the reasons some citizens of the US have guns.
Because we can. Because the government can't protect you, you have right right to protect yourself. Gov can only clean up your remains after you've been killed. Governments get out of control and sometimes the need to be reconfigured. (Even ours) A well regulated Militia being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed. According to the 2nd amentment (above) they shouldn't be able to ask any questions or make you sign papers to get a gun. NOTHING!!! the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed. These are serious words and the meaning is unmistakable and doesn't need any interpretation. It ain't about duck hunting it's about freedom from TYRANNY!!!!

From the ATF, BATF, BATFE...Whatever....MI Firearms Laws: http://www.atf.gov/publications/down...5-michigan.pdf "3.111. Rifles and shotguns; purchases by residents. Residents of this state may purchase rifles and shotguns in any state contiguous thereto if they conform to the federal gun control act of 1968 and the regulations issued thereunder, as administered by the secretary of the treasury and the laws of the state where the purchase is made." From Gander Mountain's website: "Gander Mountain follows all Federal, State, and local laws concerning the transfer of all firearms." http://www.gandermountain.com/gunsmi...rchasing.shtml Now lets go back to your claim of buying a shotgun "over the counter" at Gander Mountain... Page 3 under Notices and Instructions. Right hand column: "Over-the-Counter Transaction: The sale or other disposition of a firearm by a seller to a buyer, at the seller's licensed premises." http://www.atf.gov/forms/download/atf-f-4473.pdf Then skip down to page 6, right column, second paragraph: "Types of firearms include: pistol, revolver, rifle, shotgun..." Based on what you have posted, it's obvious that you're a fucking liar. Gander Mountain is not about to lose their FFL by selling you a shotgun without a form 4473 which is chock FULL of questions that you claim you never had to answer. Go Fuck Yourself. ![]() |

LOL, I own a couple 69 caliber flint lock horse pistols, trust me, you would rather be shot by a .223 coming out of an AR-15 that get the fire blast and powder burn of a up and close flint lock, the blunt force of a 69 caliber lead ball is insane.
So if you're against guns, figure out a way to legally get guns from those that don't follow the law And as for a regular citizen getting an FFL, I had one for a couple years about 15 years ago, just fill out the forms and they do a back ground check, then you keep records of what you sell and buy. I let it lapse. The laws are tighter now to get them, but I still know people that have them with no brick and mortar store.

Guerrilla warfare works, hate to break it to you. Do you realize that the Talibans weapons come from their enemies? They take them after they kill them. Its easier than you think, Ive seen it with my own eyes.

I know exactly how easy it is to purchase a gun in most areas. That's no the point. You claimed you purchased it from a store without questions which is an outright lie. Then you tried manipulating the conversation to private purchases in order to misguide and confuse others. You're a liar and that's all there is to it. You should probably just STFU before you lose even more credibility. ![]() |

I'm kind of confused.
You are suggesting that Obama himself changed the law, prior to becoming President, so that felons could vote him into office? How exactly did he change the law? And where was the "get out the felon vote" campaign?

My favourite gun misconception: Canadians can't own assault rifles. This is false. It is certainly much harder to go about it here then it would be in the United States, but I can own an AR15 if I so desire.
The best part is how Canadians are so oblivious about their own gun laws. Then they go around proclaiming that Canadians can't own anything but shotguns or hunting rifles, completely disregarding the fact that I could very well have a 1911, an AR15, a shotgun and an M1 Carbine. All legally.

As for the firearms course in Canada, a friend of mine took it on a Saturday this summer. It was a 9am-3pm schoolday thing offered by a gun shop and it was hardly difficult. Don't point a loaded gun at anyone, always assume a gun is loaded until you check, etc.

Only correct answer.
Base upon the sate you reside in as well as where you wish to buy the firearm. You may also have limits as to how many you can buy within a given period. Muzzle loaders have the least hoops to jump through and again varies state by state. Handguns and the most restrictions other than fully automatic weapons, short barreled rifles and shotguns and of course silencers. Walmart is limiting their firearms and ammo sales in many markets. Gone from all of my close by Florida stores and with my Florida CCW I can not buy any firearms in TN where Walmart does still carry guns (at VERY LOW PRICES) although I was open carrying a sidearm today in NC. I can't do that in Florida. |

At gunshows here in the NW US you can buy just about any weapon you can imagine. Just have cash. No background check or waiting period. I see everything from .50 cal sniper rifles to ripsaw shells, to flashbangs.

As I am sure many have said, but dont feel like reading through all the posts. It depends on the state/county you live in. Here in NYC you can't have a gun without permit and its not the easiest thing to get.
I know in Florida when i lived there you can walk into the Bass Pro shop and buy a 9mm or whatever. They have them in the newspaper ads. You just need to wait a couple of days for them to do a criminal background check on you. In Florida if you want to carry it around. There is a 3 hour course for concealed weapons permit. Then you can just carry it on your waste band like its a blackberry. Not sure how the other states are, but I know guns are regulated on a state by state basis. Of course the constitution says every man has the right to have a gun. But hey, its only the constitution. |

I live in Washington, I bought my gun off www.gunbroker.com from a store in North Carolina. I had them ship it to a dealer in my town that had a FFL. I think I waited 7 days after he got it then I was able to get it from him. Got it in Nov/Dec I think. I still have yet to fire it. Theres a nice indoor range 15 mins from my house too.
