Anyone from Moniker around?

So...I've been trying to renew a couple of domains that I have with Moniker for 3 days now.

They've hit my account 3 times for the funds, but then give me the error that my address or zip code is incorrect (it's not). I now have 2 days until I lose my domains.

So I call their support number. The message informs me that they're available 24/7 via http://help.moniker.com, and that their phone support is available from 9am to 9pm EST. It's 8pm EST and instead of being able to talk to someone....they asked me to leave a message and told me they would get back to me in 4-6 hours.

Anyone from Moniker wanna explain to me why I shouldn't just go to another registrar?

Yeah...seems that way. I also forgot to mention that their help.moniker.com site is nothing but a blank page for me.

Why do people keep using Moniker is beyond me - their service is the pits for many ... unless one has a lot of domains there and/or happens to be lucky, don't count on timely support unless one jumps through numerous hoops.

GoDaddy, despite all their checkout nonsense, is light-years better than Moniker when it comes to support...

Namecheap is another good one in regards to support, but be aware they're an eNom reseller - that in the past didn't matter, but it does more so now, since eNom has become far more aggressive suspending domains, in particular, those that are pharmaceutical related.

I use Godaddy simply because they offer true 24/7 telephone support ...alway good to know someones available if you need help instead of having to post on forums hoping someone will respond.

Hey there...I'm sorry for the inconvenience you've experienced. Where did you leave a voicemail? Why didn't you email/ICQ me? Please email me directly at [email protected] with the details of your issue and I'd be happy to assist you!

I left a voicemail at the phone number listed on your website, which is 1-800-688-6311. I just called a few minutes ago and, after it puts you on hold for 5-10 minutes....it rings like youre about to be connected to someone, and then promptly disconnects the call. that happened twice in a row.

i didnt previously have your email and ICQ until I made this thread. I sent you an ICQ about 30 minutes ago and I just now sent you an email with "germ from GFY" in the subject. It's annoying that you guys have non functional telephone and web based support systems. as far as i can tell, monikers entire customer support is one person with an email and an ICQ.

Hopefully we can get this resolved.

A bump for Bari. She's always sorted things out for me.

Now, if she can sort out how to force a domain out/away from topsystem.com I'd be forever greatful, hehe. Hit me up

That's one thing I really liked about Directnic. I used to be able to call and speak to someone who spoke perfect English within five minutes. I'm not sure if the support is still as good these days. It's been a while since I had to call them.

I appreciate that. She replied to my email. We're getting it sorted out now.

I still think Moniker should spring for some telephone support. Hell, even just get your help page functioning and add a chat or ticket based system. Bari can't do it all by herself!
