He must of been nervous & scared..:2 cents:

Best-In-BC 04-07-2015 04:29 PM

He should have the favor returned.

L-Pink 04-07-2015 04:33 PM

Bad shooting. Shouldn't have happened.

But that being said it's another example of someone NOT following orders once stopped. Why is it all these shootings happen after someone resists arrest? Just give up when you get caught.

Because some cops look for any excuse to kill, its like hunting for them.

Don't be ridiculous. Cops don't wake up in the morning hoping to shoot someone dead.

The common denominator in all these shootings, aside from a crime being committed, is resisting arrest.

The officer is put under physical stress and over reacts. How police departments stop/correct this is the question.

crockett 04-07-2015 05:34 PM

Just think if there had been no video camera.. He likely would of gotten away with it. Just amazing that a cop can be so fucking nonchalant about shooting to kill someone.

Cops are on edge a lot of the time, ever see a lot of the people they have to deal with on a daily basis?

I remember one time a cop put me in his car for a broken tail light, I just did what he said and didn't make a peep. He wrote me a warning (this is on a very busy interstate) and right up to his driver side door some lower class citizen starts talking to him about someone harassing him (out of nowhere). Stuff like that, day in and day out.

EddyTheDog 04-07-2015 05:44 PM

I see the same thing on almost every US cop show I see - 'Stop or I will shoot' - It's not surprising that some of them see it as how they should behave...

Edit: Just to clarify I was not suggesting that is an excuse - I have to be careful on here.....

This cop tasered the guy, the guy ran and got shot in the back 8 times. The cop then picks up his taser and drops it next to the guys dead body and then claims the guy took his taser.

And yet your comments keep referring to the dead guy committing a crime (failure to pay child support), don't you think the cop is the bigger criminal here? Apparently not.

taser broke

Acepimp 04-07-2015 05:53 PM

Black guy driving a Mercedes pulled over for broken tail light. Ok, he shouldn't have tried to run just because he owed child support. Still, the cop had no justification to shoot him 7 times. Hope he has fun in prison.

Don't put words in my mouth. I said it was a bad shooting. I also said once again a criminal resisting arrest is always the catalyst for these shootings.

L-pink's post goes right to the key point of the event and bigger issue,

how do we fix the problem of people resisting arrest and how do we fix the problem of cops over-reacting when they do.

the problem really does incorporate both components and an effective solution must also. we're all better served by trying to realize the overall problem, or else there won't be an overall solution.

for me, i would tackle that by first addressing the cop part of the problem, cops need better training overall on how to handle someone resisting, only after that starts to show results, i think first, people would calm the fuck down when interacting with the police and it would also allow for better understanding and dealing with why people resist to the point the officer goes bezerk and fires 8 shots through a public park.

You are an idiot

There are around 1 million police officers in the USA.

So there is a 0 in 1 million chance one of them just feels like pulling a trigger?

Well, anything to condone shooting a black person in the back and killing him.

No cop wakes up in true morning hoping he gets a chance to kill someone is a pretty logical statement. But sure there is always an exception. Thanks for your pleasant reply.

xNetworx 04-07-2015 06:05 PM

That was murder. No way he is getting off on this.

Hmmmm, I wonder if I should make another drink before or after I pretend like I'm not reading the same useless shit as usual.

You never know, a jury filled of men and women too stupid to get out of jury duty, stack that jury with mostly white, elderly jurors and there will be a strong chance of an acquittal, just ask Kelly Thomas.

That cop made a split second decision based on his value of a black dude's life versus his desire to engage in the strenuous physical activity of running. I made a joke about it in my earlier post, but the situation is really simple. Pull a trigger or chase on foot.

xXXtesy10 04-07-2015 06:16 PM

cop see video too many time :1orglaugh

you make some valid points, but kelly thomas was white and the only one of the 3 cops charged with murder and not manslaughter was hispanic. not saying the other 2 were good cops/innocent.

was the jury primarily white on that?

bronco67 04-07-2015 06:21 PM

It would be ridiculous to think the majority of cops are bad apples. The problem with the small to moderate number of bad apples in the policing profession is that they practically have a license to ventilate your body with lead.

i have to wonder what body chemical shot through that cop's brain and body and instantly decided to fired a full clip into the back of another human being. that's a chemical reaction.

They are all bad because the good cops will not speak up about the bad cops.

Defeatist attitude...never surrender!

He did the right thing and attempted to escape. The cop is a coward and shot him in the back instead of giving chase! Just wrong IMHO

Glad it was caught on video however so this rogue cop can be punished (if that happens it will be a surprise however considering "justice" in the recent past)!~

You're right, it was some kind some kind of instinctual move that took him over. But that's because of a character defect.

Most of us would rather run after someone than kill him.

that's a huge sad fact. like upwards of 80-90 % of cops anonymously polled have said they
've seen shit they should have, but did not, report.

that's a massive super problem.

oh, and nobody try and gotcha me on that specific %, as per usual, i am recollecting that %.
