Could you go ahead and point ot where anyone is starting over 400K on this list? Even the highly specialized positions are coming in under 400K. As far as I understand it, you don't come out of Med School and start as a brain surgeon, for instance, without further training.

She doesn't even know yet but is going to make 400k? There is a huge difference in the type of surgeons too. The only surgeons that make over 400k are cardio and neuro, and that is with years in the field.

I'm sorry man, but it sounds like a load of bs to me. Maybe she's going to be a surgeon, but there is no way she'll start at 400k (especially in ortho). Also, with 2 years left, she'd have had to have picked out what type of surgery she'd be going into.
