Offering consulting work - $10,000 min
 

I really don't have the time to do this but some of you really need help so here goes. Some sites are better then others but none of you really have your shit together.

You all lack the tools that affiliates need. You totally screw up things like signup pages (which is the most important page on your site.) I learned early on working with Clickcash that you need to make your own shit so I was lucky to be forced to learn for myself and not have to rely on the off the shelf, down right crappy stuff that some of you offer. I am not sure what background some of you have that run these programs or the quality of the people you put in charge of making the promos, but i can look at it from an affiliate point of view and tell you what works, what doesn't work, and what works really good. How do you determine who makes the promos and what they are? Does it come down from the top, does your design guy decied the layout of the pages, do you have a $10 an hour marketing guy (who can't make sales on his own) come up with your promos ?

All of these sites came to my attention as I was working on a new project that includes 15 - 20 sponsors, so I am signing up to a lot of you for the first time. This is mostly big companies that could do a LOT better job with their marketing materials and promos that they supply to their affiliates. I know these companies make money but if you supplied better tools you could make a lot more money.

I'll take 3 days to go over all your stuff, fly me out for 3 days and I will meet with you and go over everything with your marketing department, designers, programmers, etc... Depending on where it is at I might have to bring the wife :thumbsup

I know this is going to be a funny thread and is part of the reason why I am posting it :winkwink: , but the underlining fact is true and the offer is on the table if anyone would want to take me up on it.

minimum, sorry i abbreviate too much. bacially it will come out to about $150 an hour + travel cost and hotel.

The most i can do is 1 week out of every 8 weeks. I have too much of my own stuff backed up to spend more time helping people although once every 8 weeks would be a nice change of pace to work on something a little different.

i would think you would offer this for free if the send teamcc traffic...

This isn't an offer to other affiliates, this is something that would help the affiliates that these companies have (and get them new ones if they have better tools).

If any of these companies want to do some type of upsell with clickcash I would help them set up the best promos that work with clickcash so they can make the most from the traffic they send to them. All i would ask for that is to refer me so I can make the 10% from clickcash. Which would likely be a lot more then 10K over time if they sent any amount of traffic. I wouldn't need to travel for that either.

I've kind of got a similar project going ( sounds like it anyway ) and what will76 says is soo fucking true. With all due respect to program owners, LOTS of you are completely out of touch with your affiliates' needs.

$10K is cheap for that kind of consulting. And I agree, many sponsors need it BADLY.

definitely something i'd say 80% of programs need badly...

wouldn't it be easier to start a thread on gfy -> "Help us make our affil program better (win $$$)"... then payout $100 for 10 best suggestions, and spend the remaining 9 grand on designers/programmers/webmasters/etc...

Don't people start threads on GFY every couple weeks " what would you like to see in an affiliate company". Lots of good ideas are mentioned on those too but apparently no one listens.

Your post/contest idea is good and I am sure would generate some good innovative promos and stuff in general but what these companies need is a detail report, step by step on what they are doing right, what they are currently doing that needs to be changed, and new things they need to offer. Then they need someone to come explain it to their staff.

The " this is a good idea" apparently doesn't seem to work for most of them.

Any program owners want just a little taste how you can make your stuff 100% better ?

I hate to break it to all you kids but no one gives a fuck about what you affiliate kiddies want. As long as you promote them that's as far as they go. Programs are in the business of making as money with as little investment as possible and primarily for themselfes.....not for you!

Well when you start off your post saying affiliate programs don't know what they're doing and saying they screw up things like join pages, I wouldn't hold your breath for consulting gigs.
