Does a site have to full of flash and other crap to actually be useful? Does a site have to look "pretty" to be good? Lot of these fancy sites with all their flash and other crap won't even work right on IE 9 and sometimes even Chrome. So sometimes there is something to be said about simplicity. That's not to say I'm making any sort of judgement on the site in question one way or the other. I'm talking about in general.

Hey, Sherlock, you're right on the trail when the game is afoot!

"Discovered" that site right in my sig, huh?

DAMN! You a regular Barney Fife, there, aren't you? You gonna be awarded a second bullet to keep in your other shirt pocket now?

You maybe can find like the Statue of Liberty also, Captain Obvious? Been missing for years, you know! Missing right there in New York harbor for the last 150 years or so.

Should get that gmail addy changed over to the webmail addy but no rush. It works and doesn't seem to cause any problems because people who recognize the necessity to incorporate are able to contact me just fine. You can pay a lawyer a couple grand to set up a corporation or you can pay me a few hundred and get exactly the same thing. Makes no difference to me what you do with your money.

Nope; site not pretty. Doesn't have to be pretty to work. The site generates a couple of clients a week and that is just fine with me. I'm currently heavily engaged in another project and I'll get around to fixing up the onestop site when I have time but it's not high on the priority list right now. In the meantime, the plain little site is just fine as it is.

Everybody who has a shit design is 'doing just fine with it' and making several hundred dollars a week off it, even though they are busy on their other 'high end' website that they can't show anyone that is going to be HUGE.

This story has played out at least 50 times on GFY.

although the site is hideous, you have to scroll to the RIGHT to see pictures and content looks like it was made by a mentally handicapped 5th grader... i bet it converts

ive seen some really pathetic sites and for some reason they convert, even better than when the company/person does a complete redesign. I guess the customer thinks "well i can trust them because i know they are not over charging me to spend money on a nice looking website"

Serious question though. I have never done much research on it but I thought incorporating in a state you don't live or do business in makes it so you can't take advantage of most of the benefits?

I'm curious how it works. Say you live in CA and incorporate in some other state where you have no physical office/store and don't do any business there.

Most companies incorporate in Delaware (because of their corporate friendly laws)...even without doing any real business in that State. All you need is an "agent" and a mail drop in that State. Some "agents" handle hundreds of thousands of corporations.

a "C" corp is NOT always the best way to go. Simple LLC partnerships are more advantageous in most situations.

in LA i can do all the incorporating stuff myself online via the sec of state website and then get fed tax id number from feds. Its not hard what so ever. I also paid an attorney 10 years ago several hundred to do this for me, set up with the inc docs, articles of incorporation, etc... you don't need an attorney to do that, you don't even need sally rand to help you do it. It's not rocket science once you do it once you see how easy it is.

Said it all for me.

The pluses about Delaware and Nevada is that they have shield laws that protect the corporate veil.

In short it is very hard, next to impossible to see who actually owns that corporation. Comes in great when someone trys to sue your company and the owner of that particular corporation.

When people sue, they generally sue the corporation and the owners of that particular corporation. Both are named on the suit.

Suing the owner of a shielded corporation is next to impossible in a corporate shield law state such as Delaware, Nevada and i think Wyoming.

The key is have all of your corporations in Nevada and your holding corporation in Delaware. As one gets sued, looses and gets a judgement attached to it, you just transfer out your assets out of the company prior to suit judgment and just BK the corps as needed.

Can be pretty complex, but thats the gist of using corps to your advantage. That structure saved my ass from a 2 Million dollar frivolous law suit. They could not figure out who owned what and where to send the process service too.

Was too funny.

whats wrong with gmail?

great spam filters... always works....

I fwd all my emails over to gmail... I prefer it... and your an idiot if you judge someones company based on the fact they use a gmail addy....

I know some pretty BIG players in this industry that use gmail, yahoo, you name it....

that has nothing to do with it being a legit company or not... your a fool to think so.....

It?s amazing how some of the States have automated the process. In Nevada, you do it online and upon completion of checkout, you get a link to a PDF file with your ?Job History?. The ?Job History? contains your corporate documents, business license or exemption from business license, etc. The process is instantaneous and painless.

If Kansas isn't doing this yet they will be soon. Looks like Sally Rand needs to adapt or die... Just say'in.

Ya'll havin' fun jacking off each other?

I don't mind the publicity you're creating for me via all the searches, hits, ect but really....

There are about none of you who have the faintest idea what you are talking about because you do not really understand the corporate entity and structure but I am not in the education business, except for helping out my clients and customers,so you all just go right ahead and I hope you come nice.

Will76 represents perhaps the most ludicrous among you but he/she/it may be able to get help; I dunno.

Any court of competent jusridiction may un-do any action taken in anticipation of judgement or bankruptcy.

You been lied to and fucked hard.

See ya later!

Ah truth hurts doesn't it?? I love how you say you picking up *clients* with that site... no chance in hell unless you spending money to advertise it. You can't be getting any SE traffic and its not like anyone is going to type that domain in. So what *service* do you actually provide that people couldn't do themselves for free?

LOL i've guarantee you that I've owned and incorporated more companies over the last 10 years than you have for your *clients*.

I don't know what I am talking about yet your website makes statements like " A $13 Trillion (That's $13,000,000,000,000.00) National Debt ensures that individual tax rates will go up, possibly as much as 40%!. . . which can be completely avoided by incorporating NOW! "

Wow Sally, so all I have to do is set up a C corp and I can completely avoid taxes!?!?

Looking to incorprate in KS ? this what you need to do:

1. Consult with your CPA. Setting up the wrong type of corporation could cost you a lot in taxes. Almost everyone fails to do this, then when it's time to do taxes your cpa will say "why did you do an s-corp or c-corp etc. you should have done..... "
2. Go to this URL and do it online: http://www.kssos.org/forms/forms_res...sp?division=BS
3. Any questions or concerns, research it or ask.

Send me $5 for this info, thanks.

P.S. Sally, you are an idiot making statements like " The "For-Profit" or "C" Corporation is the most advantageous method of establishing a business entity. "

There is no one size fits all. I've had CPA and Attorney advise me to go with an LLC vs INC C-corp. I'll take their advice over Sally Rand's blank statement that C Corps are best way to go. How you incorporate depends on your situation, business etc.. there is pros and cons that need to be determined depending on the situation. A CPA is the best to tell you from a Tax standpoint, a lawyer is best from a liability/legal standpoint. If you know a lawyer or already use one they can answer that question for you without having to set up anything for you and charging you to do it.

I wrote that "individual" or personal taxes can be completely avoided through the use of a C Corp, which they clearly can.

If you incorporate online with ANY state you MUST also have a Registered Agent, physically located in the state of incorporation and that is where most of the online incorporators get you................

They will provide Registered Agent service for 6 months and then bill the Hell out of you for the remaining 6 months.

Don't pay it and your corporation will then lack "Good Standing" and you are fucked.

My service provides for a Registered Agent for the initial one-year life of the corp and continued RA service when the corp is renewed through my service.

As I have written many times, I do NOT rely on SEO traffic; preferring more direct marketing approaches.

I do not suck at the dick of the Great God Google.

Anyone can go online to the KS Secretary of State site and incorporate but the Registered AGent bugaboo will hang you up as the RA must be real, as they check.

The physical address requirement will kick you in the balls......you don't have one....I do.

Suck it up.

Since I have set up several hundred corporations for people, I just do fuckin' doubt that but you have nice day, ya hear?
