funny to see the US governments position on the mess in egypt by the way.... did you know they fund the current egyptian government with $1 billion dollar each year and the weapons the army & riot police carries are also from the US? Not to think of all the oil in that region, i bet they have a nice deal worked out with that dictator - just like with Saddam in the 80's.
Saw hillary on tv... "uhmm... yes... we support democracy..... but.... uhm.... yeah.." lolz they dont know what to say ![]() |

when the net is shut off what do people do? they stop tweeting and facebooking and go to the streets for information. that is why cutting the net off will accelerate the uprising.

OR even better, a USB repeater. This wouldn't be dependant on any phone or computer. Use ham radio technology with modem protocols in a USB device. Ham radios can travel thousands of miles with how they bounce on the atmosphere. Now we're talking!

"The majority of the protesters in Cairo, in Suez, in Alexandria, in Luxor, in Mahla, in Manoura and all over this ancient land which is the very heart of what it means to be Arab?are not ?twittering? or ?facebooking? or ?emailing? or even watching the landmark live coverage that Al-Jazeera is providing. They are out on the streets?and yes, without phone access?risking their lives and giving vent to three decades and perhaps more, of anger."

let's be frank: the US funded and supported egypt up to this point because if israel.
whether new regime supports israel will determine whether it is propagandized as a new beacon of democracy or a nest of terror masters. |

Could they? You bet.
Will they? If they have to. The difference is, in the odd event Americans do revolt, they would be smacked down so fucking fast their heads would spin. Chaos is contagious and it is not permitted outside of the ghettos. |

http://www.fas.org/asmp/profiles/egypt.htm
The United States sells Egypt a large amount of military equipment and a significant number of small arms; such weaponry is both likely to be used for internal security and difficult to track once sold. These two factors could easily enable such weaponry to find its way into the hands of abusive government security forces. In fact, during fiscal years 1996-1999, according to the U.S. government’s “Section 655” reports, the United States delivered $10 million worth of small arms via the Pentagon’s Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program and authorized export licenses worth more than $4.8 million through State’s Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) channel. Small arms delivered or authorized included ammunition and raw materials for ammunition, grenades, a variety of pistols and rifles, and riot control equipment. |

If you think unemployment is bad in the US now and that they have problems, imagine the damage that would do.

If the state is at risk they will do anything to keep power....
Look at the history of strikes in the US, the use of troops, strike breakers, gansters.... Good film on this would be Harlen County http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0074605/ |

![]() 1) If the USA gov felt it needed to shut off the internet for whatever reason they came up with, they could. It would more than likely happen as a national security act. If you think it could never happen, you're a bigger idiot than I think you are. 2) If you don't think the police, National Guard (and eventually the military) would not be called out in the event of full scale rioting these days, then I have to retract my statement from point #1 and say you are THE dumbest mother fucker here. |

and no regime is immune from being toppled. history shows at the right place and time even the most despotic regime can collapse. solders and cops aren't robots. many of them hate the regime as well and eventually give in and join the other side, as is happening in egypt now. like i said, know your history. as an aside, it's times like this that shows what the conspiracy propaganda that people eat up really is: a government psy-op to make one feel powerless in the face of a supposedly invincible government. |

I know my history, but more importantly, I also know the present. The American people are not going to do shit. And any small pockets who do act up will be dealt with. Never in history has a nations law enforcement / military been so advanced while its people so dumbed down, out of shape, unarmed, uneducated, and unmotivated. If there is ever any sort of a revolution in the USA, the majority of the people will watch it on TV. Quote:
To think Americans could do what Egypt just did is laughable. Not these days. Americans can hardly even peacefully protest anymore without getting arrested in the process. Any real sight of a massive uprising on a national scale would be crushed quickly. And the sad part is, their rights will continue to be stripped away, unemployment could rise to 25%, the USD could totally collapse, and they still would not act on a national level in the manner Egypt just did. You have a nation of worker bees and zombies who will do what they are told and sleep out for the latest iPhone while going in debt to buy it. However, I'd love to be proven wrong on this and see all hell break lose to get some things back in line and remind the government who works for who. But I know I'll never see it in my lifetime. |

I've been in the middle of three large scale riots (foolishly taking photos) and I've been there to watch the people change their government, and I've seen them fail. 1) Venezuela 2002 2) Thailand 2006 3) Thailand 2010 It is absolute fucking chaos. But such a thing is to be expected in those types of countries. It is expected when you have a class of people so poor that they have nothing to lose. But he United States of America? No way. That sort of rebellion has been bred of the people, but even if some did get a bright idea or it even looked like some group might get out of line, they would go down like the Branch Davidians in Waco. And you see how well that worked out. |

When the USA is filled with people like that, you'll get your revolution. Don't know if they will succeed or not, but they'll give it a shot. But when people are more concerned with Facebook, American Idol and the latest iWhatever, instead of what their government is doing and allowing that government to get away with anything it wants, nothing is going to happen. There are countless reasons why Americans should have already taken to the streets, but instead they will just vote the same ass hats back into office and wonder why nothing ever changes. In the meantime, they will be glued to the latest reality show, downing anti-depressants, eating fast food, poising themselves with aspartame, and poking their high school buddies on Facebook. |

It never was. Egypt is a very extremist Muslim country. I always wanted to visit that country because of pyramids and Red Sea, but never did it because of fucking Islamic monkeys there.

For example, Turkey is also very wild and rural country, but it's like a real modern civilization comparing with Egypt.

I'm no fan of Middle Eastern men, but Egypt's not that bad to visit. Go in to see what you want to see, hang out a bit and move on. It's dirtier than you think it would be, but the Muslims there are not as bad as you'd think.
