Webair!

It seems that it has been 12 hours now that I am having issue with my server that I purchased and your tech keep saying "We are looking into it" But it seems you just looked at it and never resolve the issue!

Ive been with webair for years... 14 to be exact.

I have never once not been helped immediately. If chat doesn't help, i know i can rely on going straight to the top if I have to, but Gerard usually takes care of things.

In the cut throat world of hosting, what else would you expect on a board like this then biased opinions on adult hosting options?

If you can't get through to webair and be able to explain to them properly what you need from them. That may very well be your fault.

Their support staff is availabe 24 hours a day and they have never not answered the phone.

Our experience with them and dedicated boxes was nothing but absolutely negative. We tried to get everything set up and migrate some sites over (a 100 or something). From there, nothing but unanswered tickets. Unfulfilled promises. A lot of "it will be done by Monday" which NEVER happened etc. So we closed our accounts and that was that.

There is no reason some one should be calling, icq'ing, emailing and using support tickets all at the same time hoping to get some action. This is a very poorly managed company.

IF - I may say: Amerinoc/Phats. always respond within minutes when I send in a "Low importance" ticket. I can´t imagine what will happend if I send in an Emergency ticket. In other words: Amerinoc Rock!

Ok, I know Webair always had a questionable standing on this board. However, the latest bashing here got out of hand. I myself have not always been happy. I had my issues, some of them were really harsh. Live support, especially night shift, with guys who don't even understand the prob that I have, slow ticket response times, techs that are far from being skilled. Been there, done that. One major incident just recently. However, I have been taken care of, I e-mailed Mike and the solutions he came up with have been satisfactory so far. So, I won't say Webair are the best host ever, their support is superior and other praise blabla. Oh, and I have 2 dedicated boxes with them, just in case someone starts the "are you on shared hosting" bullshit.

My point is, although a lot of sigwhores will post something different right after this post, that there is NO perfect host out there. For the really competetive pricing Webair offers their support is still decent. Plus Mike really seems to listen when customers report some fundamental problems to him.

I have heard horror stories from friends and people I trade with who are at other reputable hosts. For example, a lot of really large programs host at Webazilla. A friend of mine told me stories about their support and even the sales guys that are not even funny anymore.

Most recently I heard from two different ppl who are hosted at Mojo, the GFY uberhost, who had major probs not fixed within several days, techs that made just stupid statements that showed they had no clue and slow ticket response times. I heard the same about Amerinoc.

The only host I never heard anything really bad about so far is Isprime. However, their support might play in another league, but their price do so aswell. So, what happened to some people at Webair can and eventually will happen to you at other hosts, too. I understand that some of you left Webair after really frustrating experiences, and I can understand if you felt the urge to make that public. What I don't get though is why ppl continue to bash them in every fucking Webair thread again and again.

In my opinion and from my personal experience, I wouldn't say Webair is significantly worse than most other adult hosts. Plus everyone should keep in mind that they are much larger than most others, so of course you'll find more negative posts about them. Ppl who are satisfied usually don't post about that on forums.

Seriously though, isn't it possible that people are generally unhappy with webair? I personally had a piss-poor experience with them. I take the time to warn other webmasters about webair. What's the deal with me? I've been here too long to be a troll and I have nothing to do with the hosting business. I just think webair sucks.

Bashing webair became the tradition of GFY, people read the bullshit and then they repeat, e.g. "omg the issue has not been resolved withing 5 minutes, omg maybe I should post about it at GFY like others do?"

An the truth is webair did not deserve this whole bullshit and is far better host than some always being mentioned as better ones like for example Amerinoc aka Phatservers (I know what I say, I've seen this and that and I've heard the stuff).

I am not in the hosting business. I have a hosting company in my sig that belongs to a friend and I try to help them out. I get absolutely no compensation for it. I also never referenced webair in my post whatsoever. I just stated that in any line of business every customer should be treated equal. Period. But good try.
