Google Disavow Tool? Black Hat SEO/negative SEO affecting your SERP

I've been recently the victim of Google Penguin's update in october and will post further details as soon as I receive the answer of some US based Host. Did anyone notice a surge in Toxic Backlinks on your domains recently as a side effect of Google's penguin update?

To date this has been a very rare phenomenon but it definitely does and can happen and I suspect as time goes by if things remain as they are now that we will see an increase in Negative SEO.

Negative SEO is where a competitor deliberately builds low quality, unnatural looking links to your website with the goal of sending lots of toxic link juice to your website. The net effect of this would be that your website ends up with a decrease in SERPs position which opens up a higher spot for your competitor who Negatively SEO?d you.

Have any of you used Google's Disavow Tool? How would you get rid of toxic backlinks?

First of all, you have no idea what back links you have. Google only shows tiny%. I can fire up Xrumer and blast you with 1,000,000 links in the next 2 days and you will never see them or know about them but you will be punished almost immediately for the phrases I hit you for. Google after a few weeks or more, might show you 1000 or so of those links if you are lucky and you'll be frantic about it, not realizing they are totally irrelevant to whats going on in the big picture.

Well, technically, you can fuck up peoples sites without touching them. Pages strength is determined by the volume and weight of inbound links. As such, all pages are connected and linked indirectly to all others. When one is affected, all are affected (albeit in most cases, unnoticeable). When a page is doing well because it has a few good links front strong sites and strong sites tank because their own inbound links were devalued or they suffered some other penalty, the pages that page links to are affected as their outbound links now carry less weight.

This is what retards never understand about updates. Its not always about "what did i do wrong" - you might see a big drop in the SERPs because of the new absence or devaluation of the links that put you there to begin with. Then people frantically start changing their own sites causing more damage (hoes.com, jays-xxx-links et al - many great examples of this - where powerhouse sites spun out into a series of panic moves that hastened their downfall)

Essentially the Google Disavow tool is nothing more than a glorified crowd sourcing project.

Why try to identify low quality links via algorithmic signals when you can get an army of millions of webmasters around the world to do it for you?

And what better way to motivate that army than by telling them if they do all this work it will help them?

This is nothing more than a bulk snitching tool dressed up as a solution to a problem it doesn’t actually solve.

If you think you're the "victim of some Google update", move on and build more sites. Don't waste you time using some Google Disavow Tool. Work for yourself, not for Google.

2) You made the claim that one can find all the links etc to a page with "tools available" to challenge what I said. Yet you can't back it up. Not sure what I'm supposed to be proving to you.

What you apparently have no clue about is how they work and where they draw their data from. Amusing that it never occurred to you to ask yourself how a "tool" is somehow crawling trillions of pages and analyzing linking relationships between them all in real time.

3) - I said "TOOLBAR PR" is meaningless and there was context to that remark. Toolbar PR is not a real reflection of a pages actual PR as its only updated a few times a year. A PR4 page could actually be a PR1 page that's not going to show as PR1 until the next toolbar PR update.

PR or "PageRank" is the core algorithm of Google and all search engines rely on some similar formula of quantifying the value of a page based on the value of the links linking to it. Not the same as ToolBar PR, dipshit. I think the distinction between the two was also pretty clear in my quote which you dug up in an ironic attempt to sound smart, but which, to no ones surprise again highlights your own stupidity.

Therefore, its a pointless thing to worry about and I gave an example as to why... i.e. I can flood you with 1,000,000 backlinks in two days and you won't know where they are from or that it even happened (unless you catch it in Google Search) but your page will suffer almost instantly for the phrases I hit it for.
