She spends more time putting the produce together for a photo than it takes for me from start to finish, including drinking and cleanup.

I would have someone buy it for you and ship it then; however, the extra money is worth it because you get a much better yield than a lesser machine.

Above I spoke of the juicing shop in London. I felt sorry for the guy as I watched him add more and more produce just to get a single glass of juice. When I suggested he should get a better juicer he complained about the cost and "what if" it breaks.

My contention is that you end up saving money because you need less produce to get more juice.

Exactly. I've kicked around the idea of getting it anyway, lots of great reviews about it. Even at the inflated price the health benefits are tremendous. I've been drinking a lot of green smoothies made in a blender and this is the best I've felt in 15 years, but some things just don't blend well, thus the want for a quality juicer.

Having one shipped it gets flagged with import tax which tacks on 30% or so to it, plus whatever the crooks at customs want to tack on. Unless someone carries it in via their own luggage, it will prob even out if I just buy it at the store. Anything local is dirt cheap. However, anything foreign made is usually crazy expensive.

Thanks for the info.

LOL. Flash frozen. LOL - Freezing has a negative impact on foods. There is a new freezer out, developed in Japan that reduces or eliminates the negative affects.

To the OP. Include some non liquids daily. Doctors say liquid only diets harm the kidneys. Over-works them.

It is pretty heavy; I would not want to lug it around in my luggage. This is a great juicer, never a problem, used almost daily for 2+ years. Cheaper ones break. Good luck.

You're either mistaken or you misread me. Collectively, you can get a lot of protein from vegetables. But a single serving of say, broccoli, will only net you 2 to 3 grams of protein. Most people will only eat a couple of servings of vegetables with their dinner. So you'd have to juice it like Joe Cross did in that movie I mentioned to really get a lot. He spent $14 a day juicing his meals.

There's so much misinformation out there about the so-called dangers of soy that it's going to take a long time to teach the public that soy is actually safe. Your post is pretty typical of the misunderstood view of soy and its effect on our health. Soy is actually very good for our health. It's the processed soy that is the problem. But all processed foods are bad. That's what's so bizarre about this. People just need to avoid processed soy such as soy burgers and soy milk (unless it says whole bean milk or similar) on label. That being said health experts are recommending 1-2 cups a day of soy. Too much of anything is never a good thing.

Here is the progress I have made so far

I started at 215

After First week:

After third Week:

I am at 201 right now

Besides juicing, I run 3 miles per day and do about 500 pushups.

Hopefully, I'll hit my target of 175 to 185 in a month or two

By the way, flax seed helps A LOT! I use flax seeds the way I used to use sugar.

Do 1 hour of various excercise per day, cut back on white bread and eat more greens. Skip soda, candy, crisps and deep-fried food.

No more wheat is pretty drastic; pretty sure wheat has stuff in it that is good for you . . . doesn't mean you have to eat a loaf of bread every week. Doesn't mean you can't have some.
