Most Americans can't find Ukraine on a map, but they're all experts in the geopolitics of the region, because they've watched the American news channels and heard their leadership's version of events.

So did Hitler in 1938 - to protect Germans from those violent Czechs.
BTW, how many Russians were murdered in antirussian riots in Crimea recently? 10? 100? or ZERO?

Don't answer questions with questions. You made your point. Russia made sure it will not happen. Those terrorists put a democratically elected president aside and expect the world to help them with their criminal acts.

I don't get it where is problem now? When NATO attack and took over sovereign territory (Kosovo), against all international rules and by completely avoiding UN. Then it was ok and it was some other's problem, i guess.

Russians told back then that Pandora's box is opened and that what just happened will start happening all around globe. And this is just the begining and similar scenarios we will watrch in incoming days.Yes there are many serious countries or countries that are NATO members like Spain, Greece, or Slovakia that won't recognize this fake terrorist NATO creation in the middle of Europe, since they know what that means, but also, tons of puppet regimes and governments did it and there was no such problem like it is now when Russians are doing it without bullet fired. Double standards, or what? It is always dangerous not to follow rules or change them when you like it.

Mustafa Cemilev, the Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People declared that he supported the right of self-determination for every nation, including Kosovo.[490] He also added that the Crimean Tatars will not start a secession process from Ukraine if their rights are respected. Cemilev stated that he believes the motive for the Kosovars to declare independence was the anti-Albanian situation in Kosovo

But why?

There wasn't any protesting or rioting going on in Crimea. The government removed it's president, which them fled to Russia. There was no danger to anyone at all until the Russians invaded.

This is like Congress removing Obama from office, and Mexico invading Texas to protect Spanish speaking people.

The ONLY danger to the people in Crimea is the fact that Russian troops have invaded.

Ukraine has been taken over by unelected bloodthirsty radicals funded by George Soros, the citizens are crying out for Russia to help them restore peace and democracy

People hold flags during a pro-Russian rally outside the Crimean parliament building. So, as long as Russian troops don't move further than they're welcomed by the locals, no shots will be fired.

The referendum of the status of the autonomous republic of Crimea will be held on March 30.

58.3 percent of the population are Russians,so guess what will happen.

LOL.Mistake?? It was planned and organized action for years where consequences were consciously ignored because there were no fear for a side that is doing it and with a clear goals. It was not a mistake, people running countries and military armadas are not idiots or amateurs that decide to do something just like that. Again, how mistake can be made if more then half of world in that moment are not agreeing on that and saying they don't support it?

It is clear arrogance, force, and economic and political interest, and not a mistake. You don't buy a dinner by mistake but you can avoid UN and give country to armed Muslims terrorists and nazi followers (by mistake?): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/21st_Wa..._(1st_Albanian)

I remember when that happened, they even wanted to ship me there to help make it happen. I had just returned from a tour in Bosnia. That was the day I left the army.

And they are. The name of the next president of Ukraine will be (sorry for bringing here facts from the future) Timoshenko. A woman who was already been prosecuted for economical crimes (theft) long before all those Yushenko and Yanukovich. She also was a prime minister of Ukraine. Did she stop stealing? No she didn't. So why the Ukrainians are so sure that she won't be doing in future? Yes, Yanukovish was a thief but Timoshonko is a thief too. About 100 Ukrainian citizens were killed just to replace one shit with another. I really don't understand them

I like watching Russians justifying Russian actions after years of listening to them bitch and moan about American actions. It's entertaining.

The Crimea was historically part of Russia until 1954 when Khrushchev assigned it to Ukraine for contemporary internal USSR reasons.

So why did they invade Crimea? Did Ukrainians plan to kill Russian people there?
Crimea was part of Ukraine and is the same part of Ukraine after the revolution. Nothing changed, why invade?

Seems that Russian propaganda really gets to some people.

We will see. A referendum on the Crimean autonomy status will be held in Crimea on March 30th.

Also,Putin must protect his Baltic Fleet. This is where their submarine fleet has been since the Soviet days, there are marines and troops there to protect it. Ukraine cannot expect Russia to leave its base vulnerable, they clearly made agreements to it staying there after the fall of the Soviet Union. Russia is doing only what any country would do when one of its bases is at risk.

Crimea was part of Ukraine and is the same part of Ukraine after the revolution. Nothing changed, why invade?

Seems that Russian propaganda really gets to some people.
This is what I don't understand. The only threat to Crimea seems to be the Russian invasion.

One question: How many troops Russia can have there regarding agreemend about renting Sevastopol base?

If I heard good, 13k marines, 1k ground troops, 110 transporters, and 30 artilery systems. Is that true?

A better question to him would be "how did Putin amass a multi-billion dollar fortune as a public servant"

Putin has a special speaking-head for that. Ask him. Why do you ask me?

At times enough is enough. The nation takes a chance to change things. If you do nothing it will remain the same.

Once again: they (Ukrainians) have replaced one thief with another (ok, almost replaced because Timoshenko is not a president yet but she will be). So what will change there? Will she stop stealing?

Another problem is that revolution will never help to the economics. "Enough is enough" was when Ukrainians did this to Kuchma. Another "enough is enough" was then Ukrainians did this to Yanukovich (for a first time in 2004). Now here we go: a new "enough is enough"? 22 years of living for revolution, maybe it would be better if Ukrainian people start work instead of overthrowing the government? The Ukrainian economics is totally devastated (according to Yatsenuk, there are no money left). So what's next?
