I am having an "off" day.

There's nothing BUT punishment. Our prisons are living hells, unless you're wealthy enough to pay your way onto a work farm. We incarcerate more people than any other civilized nation. Our recidivism rates are among the highest, we use prisoners as slave labor, we sell them like cattle to private prison operators.

Countries that focus on rehab have recidivism rates about 1/3 of ours.

The general gist seems to be that he's a hero because he's pleading no contest, in order to spare her the trauma of having to testify at trial and have his lawyer call her a liar. Rock on! But he doesn't actually admit to having sex with her, even though he says he's in love with her, and she was with him. Then again, he doesn't deny it, or maybe I missed that sentence amongst the 5,000 others?

He admits being in love with her and that he did some wrong things, but he makes it out like she is still lying, but that she probably "believes" she is telling the truth.

It sounds like he is going into all of this as if he is the victim and he will likely maintain that attitude as he serves his time and then when he gets out.

I won't be surprised to see him trying to get back in this business once he gets out of jail.

The answer is a resounding "yes".

I know someone that left a church after they tried to convince her to stay with her now ex-husband, a cop, after he held a gun to her head in front of their 3 year old and threatened to kill her. While it might not be sexual abuse in her case, the Christian religion, for better oftentimes but also for worse sometimes, practices forgiveness and forgiveness. And that is not necessarily a bad thing.

The problem is when the Church wants to piously point at people like us in porn while hiding their own sexual misconducts, affairs, child abuse, etc. And that is what makes the Donny's, the Stewarts, etc. so vile. It is not their being Christian; it is the fact that they use their religion to hide behind and prey on innocent victims and act so high and mighty all the while.

I remember that as well. In the past he said McElfresh asked him and he said no. He also said something about not going to the police because he felt like he could help the guy through the church. Now the story changes. I actually think this is part of why he took the deal. A jury would love to hear this kind of contradiction.

Seems I was wrong about Donny's sentencing... Yesterday he received a six year sentence.

Inmates don't like other inmates that mess around with underage girls. I'm speculating that he's in isolation, or he wont make it to his parole day.
