Romney will fulfill is birthright of being president of the United States, even if he has to try every 4 years until he dies. He didn't get rich by not being persistent.

Anyway, that statement he made is so wrong. He won't even make it through the primary. He's not well liked by fellow conservatives, especially since he lost to the GOP's mortal enemy, president Blackenstein.

I'd love to watch this tool lose again. Run Mitt, please.

I would vastly prefer a shrewd Mormon businessman to our "dear leader," but recognize his political liabilities. Who will it be - Jeb? Whomever it is, he'll face an uphill battle as Mitt was absolutely correct in saying 47% will automatically vote liberal. The nation is now so full of lazy golden teat suckers, I doubt it will be able to pull out of the downward spiral.

47%ers never learn, that it is why they are 47ers in the first place. He needs US to produce better results thus producing more quality citizens as opposed to welfare and "take from the rich and give away to poor" types...

It looks like it could be bullshit. I looked it up and had a hard time finding it. This comes close :

To put it simpler for you - quality citizens (those that think that each individual should get what he earns/deserves) votes right, not quality citizens (those who think government should rip off rich and "redistribute to lazies) votes left.
Romney needs more quality citizens and less welfare or lazy types.
So the question is - during those 4 years, did the US economy become better or worse? If better - that means more quality citizens, more voters for Romney and 47% shrinks. If worse - means more welfare and lazy types, less voter for Romney and 47% grows.

Yeah, he didn't say that on Fox News.

But I'm sure that every Presidential candidate in the history of the world that did not win feels that they SHOULD have won and that it was a mistake for their opponent to have won.

And 100% of the time political meme's are put out by someone who is so biased towards their "team" that they actually waste time in their life by creating the meme to begin with.

I've never understood people's desire to make them and then other people (Mark Prince) to take the time to find them and share them.

They were kinda cute and funny the first thousand times I saw them. But now they are just stale and old.

It's always amazing to me how the illusion of choice is enough of a distraction to people. Getting upset about national politics is even less productive than jerking off. At least jerking off feels good.

If you watch the documentary Mitt that is on Netflix you might get a little different view of the guy. Sure, he is ruthless and will clearly do anything for a dollar and that is not good, but at times he was funny and engaging and clearly has a strong connection with his family. If he had showed that side of himself he might have actually won. On election night he was certain he had won and hadn't even written a concession speech.

If he wins again and manages to get out of the primaries (which I don't think he will do) I think he could only win if he got a very weak democrat. He is now a two time presidential candidate loser. It will be hard to overcome that and win.

I "admit" that every politician is a jaded piece of crap by the time they have risen up through party politics to get to the national scene.

I am pretty sure that some of them actually start out idealistic and want to "change the world". But after years of being a politician and rising up through the party...that idealism is long gone by the time any of us ever hear about them in the first place.

Romney, Hillary, Jeb Bush, Rand Paul, etc., etc.
If they are at national level politics then trust me...they are already jaded and looking out for themselves and their cronies.

Every once in a great while does one come along that actually gives a damn. I was born in 1961...and I can say without any doubt, there hasn't been one President in my lifetime who wasn't "awful".

Some were less awful than others. Some had talents (Reagan & Clinton had the talent of leadership...but both are still pieces of garbage)...but bottom line they weren't true to their ideals.
They were simply out to have power and to use that power to spread the wealth to their cronies.

I've always said if you are in a position to actually run for and win the presidency you will have made enemies along the way and you will be in debt of some form or another to a good number of people. The combination of those things will make it difficult for any president to be an idealist.

first off you're agreeing with a false quote, so lets not pretend you are on any intellectual high ground here. second, that is not how people decide to vote in general. third, despite who or what party anyone votes for it DOES NOT change the quality of person they are regardless.

My suggestion is to get rid of your right wing hyperbole generator device and start using real words and maybe someone will start to begin to see your point of view at least.

Definitely not far off that's for sure. But as i said, if he stopped using right wingnut propababble and argue a point instead he would at least not sound like a bot.

In the end, all the foreseeable candidates don't seem right for the job from most people perspective regardless of party association I'm sure. Hopefully that can change in the lead up to the next election.

I only saw part of that movie, but from what I saw, I would tend to agree with you. If he could stop being such a flip-flopping condescending 1% douchbag, and truly stick to his beliefs, he would be much better off.

I would tend to agree with you. Sure they all start off good, but shit happens along the way that terms them bad.

Regan was the worst. After all, the guy was an actor. If ever there was a puppet for a president, it was him.

I don't know about the "worst" ... when you say things like that I tend to think you are doing your usual "I hate Republicans only" dance and simultaneously laying out bait to troll Vendzilla.

If you really look at politics in the U.S. with your eyes open...you begin to see the real power.

It's not so much a President. They last only 4 to 8 years. Then they are put out to pasture and have zero power.

No, the REAL power is found in the two parties.

Think about it...President's come and go...but Republicans and Democrats in the House and Senate and all the bureaucrats in the giant over-bloated govt. are there for LIFE.

And even if some get voted out in the next election...they will just be replaced by another Dem or Repub and nothing changes.

There are plenty of people in Congress right now who are directly responsible for the housing crash that took down our economy from legislation they wrote back in the 1990's.

And people just keep voting for them.

I am always amazed at how our leaders can repackage the same bullshit and continue to get people to buy into it.

John Stewart was interviewing a republican stratagist during the Obama/McCain election and he asked him why people should vote republican and the guy said because they were best equipped to fix the problems. Stewart laughed and said, "So basically your pitch is that you are the best people to fix what you screwed up." The guy kind of shrugged and said, "Yup."

I've heard the same thing from democrats and republicans since I was old enough to pay attention to politics and it seems like neither one of them has really actually done any of the things they promised (with the exception of healthcare reform, but there are many arguments that Obamacare didn't really reform much).

Under Obama the 47% have shrunk to 40% due an improved economy. So maybe he has a chance?

Really?

The stats I keep hearing quoted are that the wealth gap between the rich and the poor is higher than ever. More people on foodstamps than ever. Unemployment "down" because of the smallest labor force participation rate in modern times.

The only thing bringing the economy to life right now are low fuel prices. (thanks to fracking and the Saudis ramping up production to try and make fracking less profitable)
