Syria is the same problem as Saddam's Iraq -- a minority led government that represses the majority.

But if the outcome is the same in Syria that we have in/from Iraq -- it is just jumping out of the frying pan into the fire.

Syria does not have substantial oil resources -- Iraq does. Syria is a transport (pipeline) route to the Mediterranean. The Russians are responsible for their client's actions e.g.; Assad's use of chemical weapons. The need to heel their dog.

Notice those containers have "handles" on the tops, that's because what you are looking at is just a storage container. The warhead chemical container would be inside that, which is why the tops (lids) have handles.. They take the lid off, get the warehead out when ready to use..

Regardless as long as they were not leaking or were empty, of course they would be perfectly safe to be around.. It's like standing next to a nuclear bomb.. 100% safe until it blows up...
