Bing & Yahoo not Returning Result for my Site by Name
They both were yesterday.
When I type in my site/domain name, those 2 SEs used to give me my site. Now they show sites that are barely related and are non-adult. If I type in my domain.com it still doesn't return my site. If I type in http domain .com it finally does. (Which surfer is going to do that?) BTW, safesearch is off. If I go to Google and misspell my site it returns my site. So Y & B are doing something purposely. This could just be an anomaly with my site. But I've been hearing about others in similar situations on other forums. I've been saying for years, the SEs are trying to minimize adult, as much as they possibly can, but not so much as to alienate their adult surfers - lest they lose money. Years ago they used to show more mainstream terms for adult searches, and then in 2018 they stopped doing that and we all experienced a boom of G traffic again. But for awhile they've been going back to their old ways, pretending to have morals, virtue signalling but really caring only about the bottom line. Not judging them for doing what they can to make money, only the hypocrisy in public relations. Anyone else experiencing this with Y and B? |

I've noticed that Bing has been very hit and miss as to what's considered adult. Doing a search for site:domain.com on my sites that has explicit descriptions I find gets just the home page indexed and nothing else. Very mainstream themed sites (ie: sugar daddy), every single page is indexed. There's no in between, it seems to be all or just the homepage.

Bing very like to not index sites for non-existing errors, or if site gets indexed - de-index it for no reason.

Either way, I hope this war against adult from the SE's switches back one day. |

Indexing: Ensure that your website is indexed by search engines. Submit your website's sitemap to Bing Webmaster Tools and Yahoo Site Explorer to help search engines discover and crawl your site.
Content relevancy: Make sure your website's content is relevant to the search query. Optimize your website's on-page elements, such as title tags, meta descriptions, and headers, to accurately represent your site's content. Website structure and navigation: Ensure that your website has a clear and logical structure, with easy navigation. This helps search engines understand your site's layout and content hierarchy. Backlinks: Build high-quality backlinks from reputable websites to improve your site's authority and visibility in search results. Backlinks can positively impact your website's rankings on both Bing and Yahoo. Domain authority: Improve your website's overall authority by creating quality content, engaging with your audience, and promoting your site through social media and other marketing channels. Increasing your domain authority can help improve your site's visibility in search results. Technical issues: Check for any technical issues that might be preventing search engines from crawling or indexing your site properly. Ensure that your website is free from any crawl errors, broken links, or other technical issues that could impact search engine visibility. Patience: It's important to note that search engine rankings take time to improve. It may take several weeks or even months for your website to appear prominently in search results. Continually monitor and optimize your site to increase its visibility over time. It's worth mentioning that Bing and Yahoo share the same underlying search technology, as Yahoo's search results are powered by Bing. Therefore, changes in Bing's algorithms and ranking factors can also impact Yahoo search results.

Bing indexes adult sites with no problem, even includes featured snippets which contain explicit adult content, also shows clickable subheadings, indexes images etc.
I see no difference compared to mainstream whatsoever... ![]() Either the pages and/or domain itself are too new and you'll need to have some patience. That, or the content is considered low quality. |

I'd recommend hitting up Bing's support team. They might take a while to get back to you, but they actually read through everything and help out. I faced the same kind of issue and they sorted it for me. Since they share their result with Yahoo, DuckDuckGo ect it might be worth it for you to do so. Here's the link just incase https://www.bing.com/webmasters/help...pport-24ab5ebf. Good Luck 🤞

Like WiredGuy said, they index very little. I have an older site with over 20,000 pages that only has 44 indexed. If I search my exact site + the name of one of my pages then I will get that page. So it seems most of pages are not indexed when I try a site:domain.com but then if I search the domain + a page name it seems that much of my site is. I still feel that they are trying hard to show mainstream results for adult terms. |

Anytime brother, Remember, it may take multiple attempts; it took me a year to regain the search engine links for a site that was blacklisted. The outcome can often depend on who handles your ticket and how it gets escalated to the appropriate technical team. While you're waiting for their response, ensure that your Domain Authority (DA) continues to rise. Best of luck! ✌️

Recently Bing re-indexed one of my sites that was de-indexed about 3 years ago. It also ranks for related keywords like used to. I didn't do/change anything.

The only suggestion they included in their response was a link to this page which unfortunately is a catch-all of all possibilities: https://www.bing.com/webmasters/help...lines-30fba23a
I've had the thin-content issue from Google where I didn't have enough content. But it's been years since I've had that. It seems to be random, out of a large collection of domains, about 60% seem to be fine, the other 40% seem to be penalized. WG

Is it a new/newly indexed site? If so, that happens a lot at the beginning, just wait.

Yeah just checked. Bing spiders my site multiple times per day but up until now it was only the mainpage and after 28th it started crawling a whole lot more. So likely an automated process rather than something someone (a live person) looked into.

For Bing yes, not for Yahoo yet though.
***Edit. Nope, Bing is back to not having my domain come up when I search it by name. The domain is crawled but when I search my domain name I get non-adult results. Things like funny humor, text only pages, social media etc.. purposely trying to not show adult. |
