This really brings home how much we should appreciate those around us. How much we should love the life that we have and live it with love. Sounds hokey but I have been close to dying before and it really changes everything. Thankfully I was able to make it through that tough time and be back with the friends I've grown to appreciate even more.

I'm so saddened by your loss yet so glad that you have the courage to reach out to others and share what you are going through. It has definitely made an impact on me.

My deepest heartfelt condolences,
what you did afterwards was very touching reminding me of my father's passing 3 years ago, his illness was longer, but I feel now staying with him for several hours, after he died, and talking to him, holding his hand was very theraputic (sp?) and helpful for both of us I think.

Anyway it brings tears to my eyes... sometimes tears can be good, though, what a wonderful wife you are, I wish the best for you in this difficult time

Sarah, you probably know that as much as we joke and have so many favorites in common that you are my favorite poster at the board. Though we muse about being separated at birth I know any imagining I might attempt at knowing how you're feeling right now couldn't possibly compare to the reality. You can yell at me at mardigras (at) bellsouth.net if you'd like to grab my ear before you're ready to get back to the board. When I go to my mom's house in a bit for Thanksgiving dinner my grandma although elderly and in poor health will be there. I will give her a kiss on the cheek and think of you.

I closed his yes, made them take out the air tube so I could kiss him goodbye and tell him I love him.

I am 28 years old, I am 3,000 miles away from home, the love of my life has just died and I am scared shitless. I have to now go do what I am putting off and call his kids and let them know and then my parents and ruin Thanksgiving for everyone for the rest of their lives.

Tomorrow just remember that most of you do have many things to be thankful for.

R.I.P. Marc...you are the love of my life.
