"Must be his boyfriend". What are you, 12?

I read what you wrote the first time. No need to repeat. Maybe you can't remember that far back.

I've known 12 Clicks for almost ten years. I did a lot of business with him in the 90s. Anyone who has been around for a while does not need "evidence".

Ramble on.

Well if you're so innocent, tell us straight up.

1)Yes or NO, does any of your programs come with coolwwwsearch in them in any sort of way.

2)Yes or No, do any of your pages or any of your programs try to install loader.ocx with or with out permission of the user? Is this code up for use inside your affiliate program?

I think it's pretty safe to say, you are involved with spyware, which you call add supported software. I have no problems with that, if the user knows about it before installing.

Real Player does it, Goggle Tool bar does it, the diffrence is they both make it very clear in bold writing that this in included in their software. It's right there where you can't miss it.

However my guess is you have this in your user agreement, but it's buried under 500 words of text in small print. Hence you are technically legal, but the adverage surfer has no clue that you are installing spyware.

this is the mistake of the misguided.
we have no program, we install nothing.
We run ads. approximately 150 different ads.
49th dipshit wants to condemn us because all of our ads don't meet with approval.
he chooses to badmouth me because the other companies running the same ads; double click, fast click, advertising.com, etc. won't give him the same bang for his buck that posting about me will get him here.

oops, looks like he got a little too much bang.

Ah, here we go again....

Why do you keep complaining here? What good does it do you and what damage does it do 12Clicks?

If he's doing something illegal, report him. If he's making money legally doing something you find distasteful, welcome to the way 99% of the world views you as a pornographer.

Time to get over it.

Yep, you are always right Ron...never wrong, that's why I value you opinion so very much.

While we are sitting here in our hovel, you are driving yourself back and forth to your office to work, and while we can't afford to eat, you are having a gormet lunch and while we just scrounge to make ends meet, you are living the good life......keep thinking you've got it all Ron, that's what gets you through your day. Keep thinking you are some high and mighty thing to be googoo'd over on GFY, I know you have to just to keep your self at a place that you won't put a gun to you head. Keep smiling and laughing.

You are a God Ron...the almighty God Ron...Afuckingmen.

you guys are sad, especially you Peaches. you sit here and defend him because what hes doing is legal. Big deal its legal that doesn't make it right. You want to compare fucking up peoples computers with his scumware to viewing porn? thats ridiculous. His programs cause harm to people and hurt our industry as a whole and you want us to sit back and act like its ok? Absolutely ridiculous.

Easy answer to an easy question.

Granted, 90% of the posters on this board are not what one would consider serious webmasters. But 10% are. And, out of the 10%, at least a small percentage I trust to have a least an inkling of business ethics. So, the approach is to get at the very people who promote 12Clicks programs. Much quicker then waiting for the FTC or other regulatory body to take action.

And as far as proof, as always, I don't go off half cocked. I provide the links, I provide the background. To say that the proof doesn't exist is just plan ludicrous.

Yes I know you serve adds, but where are you running them? Are you using spyware to serve them up to infected users?

I have done as requested-- Here are my findings--
Just a normal popup at first--

After the ringtones page I get a Gaming install which leaves the following--

AVG comes up with Virus Detectected screen--
Name Trojan Horse Dropper.Surfside.A within temp internet files
It then adds and EXE file in C:\WINDOWS\SSK_B5.EXE (same trojan as above)

THEN it adds another virus named Trojan horse Downloader.Apropo.O called Autoupdate.exe (3 times)

THEN it adds another trojan "Downloader.Dyfica.3.E" by name of optimize[1].exe-- then it adds this same trojan to WINDOWS folder and names it optimize.exe

THEN it adds Trojan horse "Downloader.Lookme.F" by name of VT00[1].exe in temp internet folder--- which is then added to WINDOWS folder by name of VT00.exe

Then the game software is loaded while another virus is added BHOW.exe to the system32 folder-- plus others that seem to have random names

Then another window pops open for comedy-planet.com(software window, not Explorer) When closed it still runs in the background--

A quick scan now produces these items--

It added 7 programs to memory, 248 items to the registry(according to 1 bit of software that was run prior to this test)

THEN, you have to run several different uninstall programs to get rid of all the programs installed. Then they actually give a nice little popup during uninstall trying to sell you spyware removers.

And I only listed part of what this does!

Basically this whole setup really screws up your computer-- repeat virus warnings even after uninstall etc... I uninstalled everything I could find in the add/remove programs area, and still getting virus warnings(after the scumwares recommended reboot) and and initial scan shows most of this stuff is still on the computer.

Much quicker then waiting for the FTC or other regulatory body to take action.

And as far as proof, as always, I don't go off half cocked. I provide the links, I provide the background. To say that the proof doesn't exist is just plan ludicrous.
I bet there aren't 5 posters here who promote his programs and those that do know exactly what they are promoting.

Do you see him advertise here? Does he even have a link in his sig? He's here for sport. These threads serve no purpose but to entertain him for a few hours

And Ron 12Clicks, it's only libel if it's untrue. As they say, the proof is in the pudding.

Your buddy,

Why do you spend so much criticizing someone for working around a system when you yourself do the same thing by creating new nicknames after getting banned?

Sleazy, are you saying Ron's squirming? In 9 years in this biz the only time I've EVER seem him squirm is when Cory grabbed his ass.

If you are talking about 12 clicks, for your information he is our longest advertiser to date.

Well don't I have egg on MY face!

I knew his partner advertised here, but I didn't realize the stuff Ron ran advertised here. I will have to start paying more attention to the banners, I suppose!

If someone has proof he is doing something illegal - put up or shut the fuck up.

This whole thread looks to me like someone is pissed that Ron has an agressive marketing campaign and they don't.

If it is legal - I defend it and even applaud it.

The industry exists to seperate surfers from their money, the sooner all you fry cooks realize this, the more money the business people will make.

Fuck this all went downhill when too many porn surfers were allowed to build TGP galleries to suppliment the lunch money their mommies gave them every day.
