For the record: Thai girls are clockwatchers, too. They just care about making as much money as possible without too much effort. Chances of finding a frue GFE in TH are limited to those guys who like trannies. I don't care too much about how much money I spend, but for what they offer Thai girls are way overpriced.

It's actually cheaper to have sex in a western European brothel in Amsterdam or Frankfurt than it is to get a handjob in Bangkok.

Why does everyone here want to live in a crime infested, corrupt 3rd world country? Coasta Rica might be ok but Columbia ranks about 4th last in the world of countries I'd want to live in after North Korea, India, and Afghanistan! Philippines doesn't sound so rosy either.

Quality of living is amazing in some of those destinations with little financial resources. Let's say you need 500k a year to make a comfortable living in Amsterdam, you can live much better on 100k in Medellin or Manila.

Just to add a major deterrent about thailand. If you want to live here, full time and not have to leave you will need a company based here with 2mil baht registered capital, four thai employees, have to pay payroll tax every month, company audits, work permit, accounting/legal fees. You can fake most of this, but if you are caught, goodbye. Otherwise, depending on your visa you have to do border runs every 30 or 90 days. Thailand makes it extremely difficult to do business here legally.

Thailand is very easy to start up a company. Not all registered capital needs to be paid in cash. Anyhow, it's your own money and you pay your own salary from this amount. And yes, you need to pay tax (like in most other countries LOL), but it's limited to the amount you earn in TH and the part of your income you bring into the country during the same fiscal year. You don't pay any income tax on other offshore income as long as the money stays outside of country during the same fiscal year.

It's certainly not worth faking this as it's pretty cheap to own a biz in TH.

I did not say it was expensive, it is a major pain in the ass. I have 24 thai staff now, 12x what I had in the states, I am working 3 times as hard for 1/3 the money. These are mainstream businesses.

Working online you are correct, no company needed etc, but you will have visa runs.

question: All i see is whore mongering options, but what about just picking up chicks at bars? You know, non whores? how is that in those countries? Thailand looks tempting but i get the feeling of the info i read that when you go out all you get is whores.... are there also normal chicks, and is it easy to pick them up, how do they feel about western guys?

yes, the majority are normal girls. Very easy to get dates at the shopping mall, bus stop, etc. Bar girls usually have a 3rd grade education, and are the lowest rung of thai society.

That being said $30 for one night will get you a bar girl, and she'll clean your house and do your laundry the next day. Probably cook for you too.

There are tons of university educated, beautiful, decent English speaking girls here. You can easily date them, you will most likely get some type of chaperone on your first few dates. A good salary for a uni educated girl in thailand is about 1k us per month, so as long as you are not geriatric or a douche your chances are good to score a compliant girlfriend/wife.

You'll pick them up, I've dated quite a few, but don't think that because they are "normal girls" they are fundamentally different. They like to think so, but they aren't.

These middle class/ Hi-so girls, specially in Bangkok, are desperate not to be confuse with their poorer cousins but meet them in the right settings, like an event or be presented as the owner of.... and they will go to lengths that would make a bargirl blush. They have the same thirst for social climbing.

I like to fuck them anyway, just because I can, but I don't think more of them than I do the average bargirl

I've never been to Thailand, but in Latin America where I have lived extensively, girls are far more approachable and much hotter. I would kill myself before ever going back to a bar in North America and seeing fat girls in hoodies getting hit on by brother after brother.

I agree, central/south american girls are way more passionate, enjoy good sex and will tell you all about it. Thai girls you are always skeptical of their motives, hit and miss on the sex. The one good thing as I stated before is thai girls will willingly take care of all your domestic duties. But this is also a crutch. If you don't pay them, and they stick around for a while they will inevitably want compensation.

This is no different than the us or any other western country, aside from the fact you might end up dead if you don't comply.

Thai girls in general won't steal your wallet (unless tourist), they won't ask to put electric in their hometown (unless tourist), won't tell you their buffalo sick, motorbike needs fixing, mother in hospital need money etc. (unless tourist)

But they will take their first chance to grab a knife and chase you around your own home, show up at nightclub with said knife, stalk you, call you 1 year after the realtionship is over.

Having 24 Thai employees is like having 24 nervous breakdowns daily. No thanks.

I've literally been all over the world and have never seen such shit for brains as I see here on a daily basis. If they didn't make me feel so God damned smart, I'd dip. Not to mention, they all thing I'm sexy.

CR is awesome. I lived there off and on for many years. Got robbed a few times, but hey, Ive been robbed in like 5 countries- so whatever.

Havent been to the Philippines but I know the beaches are better, its cheaper, and the kidnapping rates are pretty high.

One korean smoking a cigarette stabbed (don't know if he died) in front of a korean restaurant, but if you've been there two times with no problems, that settles it then.

Anyway even forgetting our different experiences, since you're comparing countries it would help a little if you'd been to both, difficult for you to compare it with CR if you've never been to CR

And the humanitarian crisis from the idiotic drug war (financed by u.s.) has made for countless thousands of refugees. check out amnesty international's write up on colombia's human rights situation...

although i gotta say i really loved the colombian amazon. Leticia, Mocoa and a little further north, San Agustin...incredible. small town in a beautiful valley and they have these insanely precise stone statues and ruins of a mysterious nameless civilization which vanished before the spaniards got there.
I am an American, I have not visited ColUmbia. I live in Colombia and have done so for 10 years.

I was in Miami last week, leaving little Cuba, Some one pulled besides the car in front of us and shot all 4 people inside with sawed off shot gun.

My first trip to Colombia was in October 98, visited Cali, and then Medellin. Medellin was so bad you could not go outside and look for taxi.

Cali was so bad you could not go into a nigh club that was not infested with Narcos.

When I moved here it was after Escobar and the start of the Colombian Drug War.

Medellin is one the most respected and visited cities in all of South America. It is known for flowers, clothes, some of the best underwear in the world, world class fashion models, video chat and of course very hot women.

Bogata is one of the largest cities in the world, it sucks, why, because I hate large cities.

Cali being the second largest city in Colombia is beautiful, although the infrastructure is just now being fixed.

Is ColUmbia dangerous, yes no doubt about it. are there kidnappings, yes no doubt about it. Who gets kidnapped these days, dumb ass gringos who wander into the mountains flashing money around or politicians.

I have lived here like I said 10 years and have never had anything happen to me. I have visited parts of Colombia where they have never seen a gringo before.. Am I carful, yes.

I have I ever been hurt YES, but it was by having my heart broken by a Colombian woman. I can tell you this, you have NO IDEA what love is like until you have been loved by a Colombian woman.

Is Colombia a good place for an american to live, depends on the American. If you have the attitude that you are going to live here, learn about the culture, become involved you will be fine. If you come with an attitude that you are better than Colombian or that THEY DONT HAVE REAL MONEY, DOLLARS you will be fucked and unhappy.

Drug war yes, And with the help of the US the country has gotten a lot better. Was it achieved by methods that liberals would approve of, Nope... But it works.

Ok finishing my book here, Colombia is great, it is complicated, hard to understand, dangerous for the ignorant, and a wonderful place to be if you can blend in.

You can fake most of this, but if you are caught, goodbye. Otherwise, depending on your visa you have to do border runs every 30 or 90 days. Thailand makes it extremely difficult to do business here legally.
It is difficult to to business legally in Thailand, but the police are generally cheap to pay off. Also, there is no need to do the visa run thing as long as you get a student visa.
