Which of these would be better for in the long term?

Running 1 mile, six times a day, (Once an hour...) or...
Running 1.5 miles 4 times a day, (Once every two hours)

?

Neither tbh. You can do interval training for 15 mins a day that would beat that. If you know how.

I fucked up my foot in the army so I can only bike, but read up on it.

Please post me a direct link to what you mean...

I have a bad back, and can only walk / run...

However, if what you recommend looks plausible for my situation, I will look into it.

THANKS

Nahh.. Cause BOTH versions are still 6 Miles a day, total... '3 miles once every other day' would be half what I am doing now...

Fair answer, and I appricate it... However, its a case of 'Baby Steps'

I'm sure you know what I mean...

Thats where I am in my weight loss... I can either run 6 times during the day for a mile... Or 4 times a day, for the same distance... But with slightly longer breaks...

Right now, Im kinda playing with it. Taking my weight etc and deciding over a long period...

But I wondered what predictions I could get from GFY...

But like I say... BABY STEPS lol

I did a google search, I can't remember how we did this in the army, but read up on it - it's much more effecient and less strenious on your back/knees:

It still seems like over-kill to actually go out running 6 times a day. Are you after just burning fat? In that case you should do longer runs or do intervals where you run and walk for maybe 90 minutes instead of just spreading out 6 one mile runs that take what? 8min each?

Brutally honest...

I dont really know WHAT I am doing.. Hence this post...

I can and do run 6 miles a day. Its on a treadmill, right next to my PC... So I dont 'Go Out' etc...

I am just playing with different weekly programs. Hence te weight loss in the pics (Which is real)

Basically, I cant do any free weights, cause of back trouble, but I can run or walk... So Thats what I do

i just wrapped up a 12 day rapid fat loss diet and lost 30+% of my entire fat total and only lost a bit of lean body mass. i only exercised a couple times during the cycle too.

the best way to lose fat is via diet, not exercise. it's extremely difficult to figure out total daily calories when you are doing extreme exercise like running 6x a day.

i'm not saying don't, but if your priority is to bust through a plateau you are stuck on or to just keep the fat loss going, the easiest and best way to sort it out is via your diet.

then add in exercise.

the amount of energy you need to consume (calories) to fuel 6 miles running a day to keep from bonking makes the equation hard to impossible to calculate.
