Civil War in the United States? Impeach Obama? This shit has to stop

Civil War in the United States? Impeach Obama? This shit has to stop

The amount of disinformation, especially that which is causing widespread paranoia pushed by Fox, Glenn Beck, Rush, and this clown, has got to stop.

If you are afraid that Obama is coming for your guns, RELAX, it is not true. The NRA (who works for the Gun Manufacturers, not you) uses fear tactics and try to tap into people's hatred, to get people to buy more guns.

This commercial is intended to scare you. Does it? Get over it. First, it's a horrible commercial. Second, it's false. Obama's kids are protected because first they are the Children of the President of the United States, and second because they are automatically assigned protection by the Secret Service, just like any other president, vice president. Even Mitt Romney was protected by the Secret Service until he had his ass handed to him.

Gun owners: Calm down. Just calm the hell down.

What makes it worse is I get an ear full of the people that already hated him. Well, if it gives you purpose, have at it!

Everyone's always going to want to impeach every president. Nothing will change unless there's a complete governmental overhaul.

A civil war. LOL Good luck with that. The best Americans will do is get together for another half assed protest where they video tape others being hand cuffed and blasted with pepper spray so they can put it on youtube.

Get over THIS!

Ronald Reagan also had Alzheimer's and was showing symptoms even while in office!:

http://www.doctorzebra.com/prez/z_x40alz_letter_g.htm

"At one time Reagan "possessed a remarkable memory that his brother described as photographic" [9]. Soon after graduating from college, he auditioned for a sports announcer job by "re-creating the fourth quarter of a Eureka College football game from memory" [9]. (Reagan had played in the game.) As an actor, "much of Reagan's early career was spent in the B-film division, where his knack for quick memorization made him a valuable asset. Producers of B-films, as Reagan often put it, 'didn't want them good, they wanted them Thursday'" [9].

By contrast, as President, in his 70s, "He forgot the names of Cabinet officers, trusted aides and visiting dignitaries. In Brazil, he toasted the people of Bolivia" [9]. A friend tells Dr. Zebra of a film clip in which Reagan, as President, is asked a question, only to look completely blank until his wife Nancy whispers an evasive answer in his ear (audible to the camera), which Reagan then speaks.

Recovering from being shot (three months into his presidency), Reagan became disoriented in the intensive care unit. His physicians, therefore, pressed to have him moved to a hospital suite [1j]. Comment: In retrospect, this was probably a sign of Reagan's slipping mentation... yes, Dr. Zebra is aware of the many reasons people get disoriented in an ICU, but let's face it, it does not often happen to 40 year olds. This is especially true given a physician's statement that during Reagan's recovery "He always had a high pain threshold and required only small amounts of pain medication" [6a].

In 1993 Reagan became increasingly forgetful. Alzheimer disease was diagnosed during his annual visit to the Mayo Clinic in 1994. His condition was announced to the public in a carefully worded letter to the American people on Nov. 5, 1994 [9]

There is an interesting photograph of Reagan, taken in 1996, that shows a visible sign of his Alzheimer disease [More] . He is shown standing with a model of the U.S.S. Ronald Reagan, a ship named in his honor, along with his wife and the CEO of the company building the ship. Reagan's necktie peeks out below the button of his suit coat. Reagan was extremely careful with his appearance all his life -- as an actor and as a President who wore $1000 suits -- so this tiny slip is actually significant, as a sign of inattention caused by his disease. (For a case in which this sign was actually responsible for the diagnosis of Alzheimer disease in a business executive, see [3a].)

Was Reagan symptomatic while in office? There was speculation about his mental function as early as 1987, just after he underwent his third major operation while in office (prostate). In response, Reagan held a press conference on March 19, 1987 in which he performed extremely well in front of a hostile press [12a].

Reagan's mother was "senile" for "a few years" before she died of atherosclerotic disease at age 80 [2]."

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/arti...ite-House.html

"Ronald Reagan's son claims his father had Alzheimer's while in the White House"

"Former President Ronald Reagan would have been 100 years old on February 6, and in celebration of the centennial, his youngest son Ron has released a new book about his father.

Titled Ron Reagan - My Father at 100, Ron suggests in the new tome that his father suffered from Alzheimer's disease while in the White House.

'Had the diagnosis been made in, say, 1987, would he have stepped down?', Ron asks in the book released next Tuesday. 'I believe he would have'.

In excerpts of the memoir released by U.S. News, Ron says he saw hints of confusion and 'an out-of-touch president' during the 1984 campaign and again in 1986 where he claimed his father could not remember the names of the familiar California canyons he was flying over.

Mr Reagan was formally diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in August 1994 at the age of 83.

But while some people suggested they knew Reagan had the disease while in office, his four White House doctors said they saw no evidence of it.

52-year-old Ron writes in the memoir that doctors have more of an understanding of the disease now than back when his father was diagnosed and appreciate that the signs of the disease can be in evidence before it is acutally recognised.

'The question, then, of whether my father suffered from the beginning stages of Alzheimer's while in office more or less answers itself', Ron writes.

Alzheimer's is an incurable neurological disorder which destroys brain cells. Mr Reagan informed the nation in a hand written letter when he was formally diagnosed.

40th President: Ronald Reagan was in office between 1981 and 1989 (pictured here giving his farewell address to the nation)

'I have recently been told that I am one of the millions of Americans who will be afflicted with Alzheimer's Disease.

'I intend to live the remainder of the years God gives me on this earth doing the things I have always done'.

Mr Reagan died at his home in Bel Air, California on June 5 2004 aged 93.

'Three years into his first term as president, though, I was feeling the first shivers of concern that something beyond mellowing was affecting my father', Ron writes in the book.

'He told me you make him feel stupid', my mother [Nancy Reagan] once shared, to my alarm. I didn't want my father to feel stupid."

A fortune is waiting for a TV producer that creates a reality show about US civil war complete with writing credits. Everyone will participate by text message voting.

American Honor, hosted by Ryan Seacrest.

Using the second amendment as an excuse to keep guns on the market is superficial and superfluous at best. A cynical and opportunistic slant for lobbyists to drum up more business for their industry.

Whether you have a .38 for personal protection or an arsenal of automatic weapons will not protect you from the government if they decide to turn on the people.

The 2nd Amendment was written before drones, armored vehicles or any other form of modern lethal weaponry. Your AR15 or your musket will be equally meaningless if your government decides to turn on you.

Using the argument you need your personal pea shooter to defend yourself against a governmental, occupational oppressive regime to stand your ground in the so-called "gun-debate" is just playing into a false debate that profits nobody but the gun business. And the government. And the home intruders who just want to take your personal, physical possessions - not your life, unless you're stupid enough to risk you and your family's lives for some cash, cutlery and computer equipment.

If there really was an agenda to wipe you out, the government wouldn't give two pennies about the amount of hardware and ordinance you possessed.

The argument is really only that shooting off a few rounds at the range is fun. Few people ever get a chance to shoot a human over some personal goods, and even fewer actually ever get over killing somebody over anything.

Continue your discussion...

You live in Canada.

Why do you not just STFU before the USA abandons your ignorant asses and closes the fucking border?

Go kill a moose or something, mkay?

Tap a Male tree.

For Chrissakes! You primitive people still adhere to kings and queens.

Your input does not count in the internal affiars of The United States of America.

No I cannot without doing more digging. If there were less guns though, don't you think there would be less death?

I know there are so many guns in the country and culture that it's probably impossible to regulate away the problems. But having a stricter registry and control of them, along the lines of cars or even iPhones, would probably help track and trap a lot of gun offenders, before and after these were stolen, before and after they were used to harm others.

Apparently your capacity for argument and discussion is restrained to farts and raspeberries...

We primitive people have developed a parliamentary government that has advanced beyond the colonial era when having a carbine in each hovel would help defend us against the state. As opposed to a two-century old Republic, we actually have a semblance of democracy here.

The problem with people like you is that any outside input is not considered and does not count, and you tend to stifle yourself and your mind with dogma and outdated beliefs that encrust you to repeat your past.

However, I'm still open to your ideas, if you actually care to present any...

:D

.
Change "guns" to "porn" and "2nd Amendment" to "1st Amendment"

Also change "drones" "armored vehicles" and "modern lethal weaponry" to "porn mags" "vcr" "dvd" "internet porn"

I think we should all think long and hard before giving the govt. MORE of our freedom. Every new law makes the govt. stronger and YOU weaker.

Either repeal the 2nd amendment or just shut up about it. Crazy people are going to do shit no matter what.

Hmmm wellll I don't think you can swap bill of rights factors around like some kind of puzzle, but your point is taken.

However, to use your analogy, I don't think we have to worry about the abrogation of the rights of the people to blast each other with porn, nor is possessing a lethal weapon a form of freedom of expression, religious belief or peacable bukake.

The point I was making was that the 2nd amendment's consideration that an armed populace would constitute a protective sheath or armed militia against potential oppressive government practices is passed due, expired, considering the forms of oppression available and used by governments nowadays...

But there are laws or regulations, such as minimum level hygiene in meat production, which don't take away freedoms... they just make sure the corporate juggernauts don't exploit or harm us to the advantage of their bottom lines.

Remember when Reagan de-regulated the meat industry and a lot of people got sick or died?

Does a law against murder or theft make you weaker or government stronger?

True! I just don't think that, outside the National Guard, the 2nd amendment really applies to the modern American Republic...

Might it not also make people favorable to our services?

Either way, who cares?

You're entitled to your beliefs and your interpretation of the second amendment, as we should be up here where the eskimo chicks are all the hotter because of the heat under our seal skins... whether I even agree with Mark about this (and I don't think we do) or whatever doesn't keep us from being friends or in business together, nor should it keep you and us from being in bed together, making money and having fun, having our philosophical discussions over a beer or ten...

Just don't wear heels...

And because we're Canadian, we should't care that those 20 children were murdered in your country? That since then there have been 600 other gun-related deaths?

We'd like to think that our American friends would be just as concerned about us if the same problem was going on here. (We know you love us)

Here's a question for everyone:

At what time did President Obama EVER say that he was going to "take away your guns"? This phrase is common rhetoric among all far-right people from what I can see, but when was it ever actually said by Prez-O ?

And also, in 2008 there was a similar fear that Obama was going to take away your guns. Then in 2012 the same fear returned a few months before his re election. Gun sales jumped because people were afraid this would happen, but when was it ever said he would do it?

Just curious.

I'm a Canadian for sure but I wouldn't call myself a hippie. However I do love Rock music festivals and free love, equality for all, etc etc, so maybe I'm a hippie who just doesn't look the part.

Of course, the recent right wing screamer response to this is that Reagan was out of his mind at the time. Shameless fucking creeps.

Of course, they also don't mention that the majority of repubs and rank-and-file NRA members are also in favor of common sense gun regulations.

Why, you might ask? Because the NRA leadership is in the back pocket of the gun manufacturers.

Follow the money guys

Hi Ed,

I'm sorry that you feel this way. All I am trying to do is to have a conversation on the matter. I sincerely apologize if you find my opinions, or the way that I express them, to be aggravating. I (like many others) tend to view GFY as an ultra-relaxed place where people can express their views using as much colorful metaphors as we like.

I am not trying to "blast", and I do not think my opinion is BS. However if you think my opinion is BS, Please feel free to let me have it. Whatever you say to me on the subject here will not sway me from doing business with you or sitting down to have a beer with you at the next trade show.

Baddog and I have very different opinions when it comes to politics and last summer sometime I offended him with a joke. When I saw him at last week's Xbiz, I offered to shake his hand, and he accepted, and that was that.

Peace & love, my brother.

Which part of my post was the complete opposite? I'm not challenging you, I'm asking you nicely. Please educate me. I don't live in your country so I'm probably not up to speed on it all.

To a gun nut, a very modest reform of outrageously lax gun laws in the wake of several horrific mass murders = "government takeover." Telling them to calm down won't work. They live on hysteria.

The fact of the matter in the whole debate is Adam Lanza did not use an assault rifle. The assault rifle was removed from the trunk on live tv. He used semi-auto hand guns. Then why may I ask are all the gunhaters trying to ban just assault rifles? You can't use Sandy Hook as a pretext without banning the actual guns used. Try that and you will see civil war.
