I'll say this...if I were a soldier and actually had vital info (which young McCain didn't have by the way), I would do my best to not talk.
BUT... the minute they pull my balls out of my pants and get ready to cut them off? I'm gonna sing like a bird. So kudos to McCain for taking all the punishment he did. I feel sorry for him. But he's not a hero nor did he have any great intel to give to his captors. He got tortured simply because of who his father was. |

And the second one of them says something derogatory about Trump, they run back breathlessly to Trump and throw it in his face. Then they just roll camera while he fires back. When I was a little boy I used to get in trouble for the same thing by instigating fights between my little brothers. That's what the media has become. A child instigating fights. |

His track record in the US Navy is dubious at best. He was involved in the USS Forrestal incident, and considering his father was an admiral in the Navy he had no major accomplishments. His only claim to fame is being shot down and then getting captured, both of which indicate he failed at being a good pilot. While being a POW he attempted to commit suicide and then made a full "anti American confession". He then returned home, cheated on his wife for a ten year period, eventually meeting and dating Cindy Lou Hensley in 1979 before leaving his wife in 1980.
You tell me if he is a hero.

I think it would be a positive change if the media just stopped trying to shape our opinions.
Just let the candidates say what they have to say about their positions and let the PEOPLE decide for themselves. Instead, we have the media trying to create news. And then hour after endless hour of "political analysts" on panels at Fox News, CNN, and MSNBC "explaining" everything to us and giving us their fucking opinion. And damned if it doesn't actually work to make people believe whatever the 2 party's and the media push for. I don't need Fox or CNN to tell me anything about what I think and who I should vote for. I don't need The Huffington Post to tell me that Trump isn't "serious". Who the fuck are these people? WE are the people who need to really listen to what these candidates are saying and make up our minds. The media during the election in 2012 was so goddamned childish that it was sickening. Instead of talking about economic growth and all the wars that our govt. keeps us in...the discussion was about Mitt Romney putting his dog in a dog carrier on the roof of a car in 1983??? Or Mitt Romney cutting some kids hair for a hazing over 50 years ago when he was a young guy? WTF!?!?!? And now? All the media wants to do is poke Trump with a stick. You know the guy does have a plan and he wants to talk about what he thinks he can do for the U.S. economy. But we don't hear about it. All we hear about is this endless media instigated "fighting" amongst Republicans. Who cares? Yes, it is entertaining. No, it's not the job of the free press. It's disgusting to me. And to watch them do it so blatantly is almost scary. They aren't even trying to hide it. And NOBODY is calling them out on it nationally. |

Robbie, most people want/need to be told what to think, they're waiting to be told what to think and do. that's why talking head opinion shows are popular, if people didn't want to be told their opinions, these shows wouldn't be so popular.

![]() the 24/7 media mandates an entertainment-like atmosphere to get viewers cause the news channels are competing with 300 channels all day long. you can choose to tune that out & just watch PBS mcneil leher newshour, but what a bore. however the media has been changing ever since the TV was invented, & kennedy beat nixon cause nixon was sweating. Today its all about TV friendly personality. this is why trump has a shot, cause he is a master of the media. he can win. |

It's really sad TBH.. if he wouldn't act like an idiot saying stupid shit all the time and just stick to "real" issues with out the needless mud sling g, then he potentially could be president.. Instead he just acts like he's on reality TV and pisses away support by saying stupid shit. With his money and nane, had he stuck to "issues" he could of been a serious middle of the road contender. |

It is stuff like this that will ultimately be Trumps downfall. He seems like a guy who surrounds himself with yes men and he can't handle when anyone says something bad about him. If you criticize him he strikes back and will make personal attacks in order to crush you.
Right now most of the republican candidates are just sitting back and haven't said much about him. That will change. As the debates come and we get closer to the first primaries if Trump is still polling well the attacks will come and I think he will lash out in an ugly manner. Every single presidential election we here people say things like, "Does the candidate act presidential?" Or "Do they sound presidential?" Trump often comes off like a spoiled kid who has to have the last word and crush anyone who doesn't agree with him. |

I don't believe the media is trying to shape public opinion. They find something that is interesting, and then keep feeding it to us because it increases ratings. If they reported on kitten rescues all week long, no one would watch them and eventually they would all shut down. Instead they still do their fluff pieces, report on the real news, but then when they find something that helps to drive the ratings they pick at it. This is why CNN will constantly talk about the same news article over and over again until it bores us to tears. In part the media does shape our opinion, but not because they want us to see things in a certain light - but because reporting on certain things increases ratings. The public dictates what the media plays and the media plays it over and over again until we want to see something else. I have the feeling here Robbie that you are seriously into Trump and hurt by all of the negative press.

A very real possibility is that Trump will get sick and tired of the Republican's bullshit.
It's what the media and the Democrat's are hoping and the Republican's are scared of. He gets sick of their shit and runs independent. Then he splits the sheep Republican vote. And the sheep Democrat vote still goes to Hillary and she becomes President. No matter what...every citizen that votes party line instead of for a candidate that actually reflects their views will be the real loser. And we will find ourselves in a few years wondering why our country is in even worse shape than before. |

Donald Trump pretends to be wealthy by trumping up creditors and going bankrupt a half dozen times after his daddy left him 50M and plenty of connections. He will die with more debt than equity. Cindy McCain (John's wife) inherited 100M and is now worth much more than that. She also has enough friends /donors to get her husband a nomination for President.
Donny is pissing into a fan and Cindy has more actual clout than Donny and her husband John combined. If she is annoyed, Donny's campaign is toast. |

Deferments Helped Trump Dodge Vietnam | The Smoking Gun
Trump was a draft dodger. That in itself is not unpatriotic if you resisted that war or chose to fight in the streets in America -- like I did -- most of us made a stand back then. Trump didn't fight for his country, or his beliefs, on either side of the political debate -- he will get absolutely no respect from me -- I don't give a shit how many trophy wives he can afford to buy. He's a loudmouth cowardly rich boy that hid under his mother's skirts while we fought and some died. The Donald runs to the bankruptcy court every time he fucks up. He has a pattern of failures and stiffing his creditors. The Donald is a very successful scumbag ... He's just a nasty POS with a lot of money -- a buffoon who likes attention. The media is playing it up to the public and many simpletons are going for it hook, line and sinker -- like the mullets they are ![]() Rich boy appeals to the idiot voters and bankrupts America too -- he has a track record. |

Audie Murphy was a war hero.
McCain is a war vet and former POW. Trump?.. draft dodger, idiot with a big mouth, and a control freak. Perhaps president Hillary will invite him to the white house for tea in 18 months.

I was just thinking.. Why is Trump getting into a pissing match with McCain in the first place? Have I been living under a rock the last few weeks and missed McCain joining the presidential race?
He isn't running for president this time is he? If he's not, why is Trump even spending time being in a pissing match? It just shows, that Trump is more about publicity than the issues.. This is his biggest failure yet.. The guy "could" of been a real contender had he kept away from the dumb ass mud slinging and stuck to issues. Instead he's just playing "who wants to be the craziest Republican nominee". Yea know the current candidate whom "is" sticking to the issues and not getting into the mud slinging.. His name is Bernie Sanders and he's quietly been attracting the largest crowds at his events vs any other candidate currently running.. |

Jesus...I was just eating some lunch and watching t.v.
Nothing was on History Channel (heh-heh), so I switched over to Fox News. I like Neil Cavuto's show on there. He's interviewing former Rep. Sen. Scott Brown of Mass. And they are talking about the "No Nukes For Iran" that McCain, Graham, and Lieberman are doing today. And of COURSE Cavuto has to ask Scott Brown about McCain vs. Trump. First Brown bows down and kisses McCain's ass. Then he says that Trump should apologize to all veterans. lol But then he finishes off by saying that John McCain is a national hero and did more in the service of his country than anyone else in the history of the nation! WHAT THE FUCK!?!?!?! Seriously? More than George Washington? More than the millions of soldiers who DIED in wars? More than ANYONE in history? This is the kind of bullshit the American public gets fed by the 2 ruling parties and the media. A fucking guy who got captured and spent an illegal war in a pow camp has suddenly did more in the service of the country than anyone else in the history of the nation. Unreal. The last 15 years have really felt like "Bizzaro-World" to me with the shit going on with the Federal Govt., the media, and the 2 ruling parties spewing out propaganda. |

rush limbaugh to the rescue!
?The American people haven?t seen something like this in a long time,? the radio host said, speaking to the unique nature of the emerging 2016 Republican presidential contest, in which harnessing anger and money may be crucial ingredients for success. ?They have not seen an embattled public figure stand up for himself, double down and tell everybody to go to hell.? ?Trump can survive this, Trump is surviving this,? Mr. Limbaugh said at the start of his three-hour program on Monday, two days after Mr. Trump took issue with the description of Mr. McCain, a former Vietnam prisoner-of-war, as a ?war hero.? ?This is a great, great teachable moment here, this whole thing with Trump and McCain.? http://www.nytimes.com/politics/firs...rumps-defense/ |

I love this quote from Limbaugh (it's 100% true) in that article:
"Mr. Limbaugh described the dust-up as an over-hyped effort from “the drive-by media.” He returned to the topic in the show’s second hour, pointing out that Democrats have taken shots at Mr. McCain’s service — including Senator Al Franken of Minnesota, years before he was elected to the Senate. “When leftists attack McCain, they’re perfectly warranted, because they’re nice people,” Mr. Limbaugh said. “Here comes Trump, and you would think that nobody has ever said anything like this before about the revered and respected John McCain.” |

Here is Al Franken's attack on McCain supposedly being a hero.
Today Sen. Franken said it was just him "joking". So since he's a liberal it's all okay! ![]() ----- Fifteen years ago, Al Franken took a dig at John McCain for being captured during the Vietnam War. “I have tremendous respect for McCain but I don’t buy the war hero thing,” Franken wrote in an essay about the 2000 elections. “Anybody can be captured. I thought the idea was to capture them. As far as I’m concerned he sat out the war.” ------- PURE HYPOCRISY by the 2 ruling parties and the media. I hope the American people start waking up to this shit. Nobody said a word about Franken's statement then. And it's only brought up now because Limbaugh spoke out about it. Where is Anderson Cooper on this? Rachel Maddow? |

It's almost as comical as watching Russians blame everything under the sun on the U.S.. It's pretty much the same stance.. The simple fact is Democrats are laughing their ass off at the current GOP traveling circus. I mean fuck, democrats don't even have to do anything.. republicans keep attacking each other.. But once again it's all the liberal media's fault.. You guys are comical.. ![]() |
