I brought up a few months ago, that every time I paste'd a link to a Chaturbate room, or even typed the word Chaturbate in a post or DM on Facebook... Facebook would either pop up a warning that the url was dangerous and would not allow it, or then spell "chaturbate" as "masturbate"!

All of that has changed.

Links and the word now work on Facebook!

SignUps and purchases were recorded properly.

I just saw Chaturbate added "signup_notice=1" to their linking codes at the end.
What does this mean and should i change my links to new ones ?
(old links are the same but without "signup_notice=1" at the end)

It is the link which includes the signup notice that appears on the website.

Do I need to change all links to new ones signup_notice=1 ? or are the old links working correctly?

Lately, like many of you, I've had a perplexing lack of signups/sales and lesser traffic than I should be getting, based on history. I was not aware that CTB had modified their affiliate links on the Linking Codes page until I saw it mentioned here.

A lot of my affiliate links are hard-coded. I checked what I'd coded a few months ago against the updated affiliate links. I found subtle differences in the new links. I think its probably best to be sending clicks to CTB using link codes in the syntax their server is expecting. So I painstakingly recoded everything, being careful to copy/paste the full link instead of only adding the obvious "signup_notice=1".

It may not be necessary to do this. I can't say that the old links don't work as intended. But on the other hand I don't want to leave things to chance, I don't to play with my income. So I took the time just now to make all the changes and to get everything up to par.

If I notice an earth-shattering jump in stats/numbers, I'll let y'all know.

What exactly does &signup_notice=1 do?

Do we get an email? Don't need one, unless it has the user's CB name...

The only time they've given us CB names, is in Token Stats - when we performers get tips, or sell a Clip.

I got a Sign Up yesterday!!

I had 2 Sign Ups in past week, with old links (without &signup_notice=1).

I can add &signup_notice=1 to my hardcoded and database links.

So where is this official notice Steve published?

As a Broadcaster/Performer on CB, I am also concerned that when I am in Europe, I notice that I and other European Performers have such smaller viewer numbers than American Performers. I think something is going on there, as well. Dreadful comparison by age and cute-ness factors!

I've noticed a trend the past 3 months. I get no sales for the first 3-4 days of each period, then each one of my spenders suddenly begin to spend after that. Seems a bit strange.

As a Viewer, I notice that the Landing pages have different models in one Viewer's login name than in another Viewer's login name.

Same settings preferences.

Could have to do with credit card billing cycles or the fact people pay rent/car/etc. on the 1st, then after a week or so they spend remaining cash on entertainment.

As a follow-up to my earlier post, FWIW. After having updated all my non-API links to match Chaturbate's current linking codes, my uniques have increased an average of 14% and raw hits have increased an average of 10%. And I got a signup the same day, after 9 days (!) of no signups.

Having said that, it could all be complete chance, luck of the draw, and have nothing whatsoever to do with whether the links have been updated. It could be Google fucking around with their algorithms, or who knows.

But no complaints. My latest payouts have been the biggest ever (for a small-time like me) and they keep increasing. Fingers crossed that this trend continues.

The same group of spenders all of a sudden would wait 3-4 days to spend, when they've never done so before? Seems a bit weird.

What are you guys going on about with signup_notice=1.. thats only for a few links and its for FULL VIDEO MODE.. seems to be a new mode mainly to use as a pop or a different kind of lander?

WTF is going on?? Now CB removed the notice=1 on most links except the full video mode and more of these links. Do they know theirself what they are doing???

I am still on the old links, signups are not bad, but this period there isn't spend $1 the first 6 days, that's impossible....

How many free signups daily are you all getting? Low free signups past 2 days & I had great Revshare going but last two days dropped off too. Hopefully picks back up!

I have daily 20-25 signups at revshare, and almost every day sales. That's why i say that it is impossible to have 6 days no sales, because in 1 period i have 1-2 days no sales

The 20th was my lowest day this period in terms of user spending.. could of been a fluke.. or just a shitty monday.. the 18th was a really good day. Law of Averages?

20th was normal for me but 21st was down

Exactly the same here... 6 days no sales.

And now we are talking about it here, suddenly on day 7 i got 1 sale again. I think 6 days of sales didn't get trough or something like that.
