On my android, Chaturbate's "stats" page is #1 on my pinned "top sites" on Firefox. The "top sites" icon for CTB has always been a generic, could-be-anything plain color. When I'm at work, I've never had to have second thoughts about having Firefox open, with the "top sites" page being the default home page. As long as no one gets close enough to be able to read the word "Chaturbate", its all good.

Well now, some sadly out-of-touch person has deemed it necessary to change CTB's generic, could-be-anything icon color, to CTB's very distinctive logo/icon. Now it stands out like a sore thumb and I have to be very cautious about even having Firefox open when I'm at work. Because I could, in theory, be fired for sexual harassment if anyone happens to merely see that icon on my browser.

I don't know how to turn "top sites" icons off or otherwise hide them. Aside from simply deleting all references to Chaturbate in Firefox. I don't wanna do that! Does anyone know of a plugin or an about:config setting that will allow top sites to still be shown normally, but WITHOUT any faveicon or graphic or some shit from the web site that its linking to? Thanks.

You should not log in to chaturbate while getting paid at your other job to perform work for the company. Not too smart IMOH if you want to keep your job :error

It is not logging in that is the issue from what I read. It is the icon that shows at the top for his pinned sites. It shows even when he is not logged in (if I read it right).

header/nav links don't convert very well, ever. i barely bother anymore

cams don't convert very well with pop traffic, you'll see people trying pretty often but it's just not very effective. pops are still mostly all about dating and malware

protip: I run tubes, I thought cams were worthless for years, then I tried native ads. Now cams are my second biggest revenue source. Just make an "online now" widget like you see on pornhub or xhamster and put it on your pages wherever you can. works amazingly well.

Sell pops/skim for CPM, forget about header/navbar, make an "online now" native widget for cams. my :2 cents: from running my own tubes

Isn't it a bit difficult to promote such an overused site like chaturbate, considering half of the world already got an account there (with or without spending) and when they click on your link, you're practically just reminding them to go there and log in with their ancient username?

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong (I'd like to be wrong and I would resume sending traffic to chaturbate if so).

Still signups, anyway revenues sucks. Are cams dead?

Things changed about a year ago.

Signups died. Repeat spenders and spending crashed.

I still get a few repeat spenders and spending...

Not too bad this period for me.

But a year ago, yes... i think it was August last year the password suddenly was mandatory, before that it was always remembered by the browser.

For security I assume. Anyway, I had built revenue slowly up over 4 years to $500 a period, and when that happened - bang, down to under $200.

I can only assume lots of old spenders forgot their password and made new accounts. Without our cookie. Life sucks. It is slowly building up again, hope nothing like that repeats.

Ahhhh... the password thing might have cut most of us out.

On my Browser, Chrome on OSX, it does remember the password, but I have to right-click to auto fill.

With those hits, you would have same (if not even more) revenue with even the most saturated porn sites ever (membership selling)

The password thing, yes, forgot to add I did not have a whitelabel back then, it would have helped keeping the customers on the same site.

Still, I see threads on BHW about sending random traffic to CB, usually they have like 1:1 ratio pageviews/unique. I would have hoped my SEO traffic was more in line what the users was looking for. None of this is the WL, only CB with my ref link.

CB is incredibly oversaturated, almost everyone promotes it so no wonter it's harder and hader to get new spenders, and the revenue goes down.

I agree with you, really tired to see spenders gone every time these kind of things happening..

These guys / girls / couples / whoever is spending build up an online relationship with the performers, part of the reason they keep going back is they have built a rapport with whoever it is they have fallen for.

Much like 99% of this place, a username holds quite some significance to them and they aren't about to give it up without attempting to figure out a lost password.

Have you spent much time in chats watching the way different performers interact with surfers? These girls and guys know exactly who is helping keep a roof over their head, food on their plates and spending money in the sky rocket!

They actively acknowledge a username when they see them pop up online - it's just good customer service and makes the surfer feel important!

With regards to the overall theme of this thread, sales of any kind are never consistent when you micromanage them (hourly / daily).

As you see with Sarettah's graphs (thanks for posting that interesting to see) the overall trend line shows a gradual increase or decrease, while at the same time some weeks / months can be significantly lower or higher.

My experience with cams are that sales are they don't fall off a cliff, however they do fluctuate and it can be pretty significant depending on the number of transactions you are doing each day.

If your sales are disappearing, instead of losing it at people like Steve or Shirley, ask them if they have noticed any trend across the period / month. Discuss with them what you are seeing and then perhaps ask them if they have any suggestions to increase your revenue.

My experience with both Steve and Shirley is that they have been absolutely fantastic to deal with. Never ever had heated discussion, have asked both of them about sales/frees/traffic over the years along. Always extremely helpful and professional!
