The business logic (geo block included) should be identical: whitelabels are in effect chaturbate, just a different skin and logo.

I must say I am not familiar with roboscripts but I do have a custom site and I display models from the Chaturbate API feed. No matter what your implementation is, at the end of the day you are linking to the whitelabel (only way for visitors to register!). So blocking a model upfront won't prevent her from showing up on the wl site listing.

A proper way to handle custom listings would be to call the Chaturbate API and pass in a campaign ID (for webmaster identification) and a IP address of the visitors so that the feed being returned is relevant and not compromising anything. This way cb is fully in control of what is being served, 100%.

You mentioned DMCA. Shouldn't all websites stop listing the broadcaster? The previous suggestion I made is the only way to achieve this reliably. I would also add the fact that a clause should be added in the terms, upfront, at the time the model is signing up for the program.

I have a whitelabel with 9 separate members refunding just today. The WL loads fine and I don't see any issues, curious if anyone has any ideas?

Have you reported her yet? I reported one model that was doing the same thing as ocicat and her link got removed. Please report her if you haven’t done it already.

Ocicat has been doing this time and time again tho, CB really need to do something about it.

And thats what i don't understand. Chaturbate removes their signatures but they never give them any warning or ban. It would be great if they had a system like:

1st Violation : Warning - No action
2nd Violation : Warning - 7 Day Ban from Chaturbate
3rd Violation : Warning - 30 Day Ban from Chaturbate

and so on.

I am not the one making the the rules here, but that would definitely stop a lot of shady models stealing the webmasters and chaturbates money.

For the sake of consistency and effectiveness, we need to define a template that we can use because some reports work others don't. If your reports work it would be helpful to use them as a template.
I am saying this because right now the situation is chaotic, some report what they perceive to be a breach others report all banners, others report some type of banners, etc ..

This is why in my reply to Punky B I asked "what are the specifications of allowed banners." So that we can report everything that is outside of those specs.

Chaturbate is leaving everything to us: reporting of bad practices, dmca requests, etc ...
All of this should be handled by chaturbate.

In my view (please read):

- affiliate links have no place on the destination site, this is an aberration, and in no way this is affiliate marketing, merely a blatant technique to implicitly create leaks.
- enticing users to create a new username should be worth a ban, and a forfeit of money made under the new usernames! Can chaturbate states if they agree broadcasters do this: yes or no, permitted or not permitted.
- dmca is to prevent and punish recording and distribution of shows without permission. Anything else is not dmca, merely webmasters using tools provided by cb themselves to which broadcasters agree when they first join.
- models should not be able to block whitelabels since they are chaturbate sites with a different brand and theme. Unless someone can formulate, precisely, why this is a benefit to models.
- API feed should allow to pass visitors IP so that geo block becomes possible for those who want to create a custom page.
- if banners are allowed , what size is allowed: 200px, 500px, 1200px in width?
Surely chaturbate wouldn't allow a banner that is 1200x1200 for example. This is how I want to have them define precisely what is permitted, so we can move forward.

It is hard to get chaturbate support to make any sort of precise statement they only come back with vague and loose comments: "we will look into it". Or in the case of gfy, they don't even reply at all, they just dump statements and leave us tormented for months/years.

I totally agree with Drexl, thank you for putting so much effort on this unbalanced situation.

Hope that at the end, the solution will come, or many affiliate will going to promote other platform like Stripchat.

This is sad because CB still rocks, but seems less than in past.

In my opinion there is only 1 way CB can "rescue" this situation.

Put the models back to basic, just a simple BIO and a tiplist like on Stripchat and that's it. So no custom css/overlays etc. we as affiliates also don't have that.

They will never do that.

Simply appeal these DMCA to google , write real situation that you have rights to use that content from CB , and they reinstates your urls.

It takes time to fight all this stuff. And when you have dozen of websites it's next to impossible.

As community members, broadcasters agree to Chaturbate terms when they sign up, therefore they agree for webmaster to use chaturbate's official promo tools.

You are licensed and therefore allowed to use chaturbate iframes: see paragraph 1 of the appendix B to the terms.

Write an email to [email protected] and ask them to write that iframes are indeed "Promotional Items" belonging to Chaturbate and that they allow you to use them in accordance with their affiliate program

Then issue a counter DMCA notice. Some broadcasters don't understand what DMCA is about: it is to prevent copy of material and recording of shows without authorization, this doesn't apply to official promo tools. They don't own the live broadcast, Chaturbate does. If they want to own the feed they can create a custom site with their own broadcasting platform, and marketing (without affiliates, good luck!)

I have always wondered why models are given so much freedom with coding on their own profile page, I can't recall any other cam site over the last 20 years where this much freedom is given. The fact that models can alter the CB site navigation to benefit them should have been a red flag long ago to CB administration, that some restrictions or limitations need to be in place.

I wish affiliates had this much freedom to input their own code into white labels.

I have a statement from cb, I will prepare a template, see if it works, and post it here so we can report these more efficiently. In the mean time, here is the official statement:

From cb: "Whether intentional or not, independent broadcasters may not ask existing users to create a new account, as this takes away credit from any affiliates who send users to our site by side-stepping our affiliate cookie system. To the extent that you find anyone in violation of this rule, please let us know."

If you find anything in a bio that is asking members to sign up a new username then the rule applies.

You must have worded your complaint wrong @oce520 or you got a support person who totally misunderstood.

They have answered your question from the perspective that you would be a user (read: model) on Chaturbate and trying to do something to another model/competitor.

When talking to support, any support, you always need to be VERY clearvand precise on what you are saying, who you are and what you want to say. No blabbing!
