if they could and want do the job from the illegals why do they not take it? what you say is that the illegals have a better live then them - HOW can that be when both have the same chance ? i do not think that an illegal mexican who is not even able to communicate, donīt have family and does not even have the smallest chance to get money from the goverment have more chances as a native american. when an illegal mexican get a job and does NOT have to live in a tend - what are they doing better than the americans ? you really should train your logic a bit. |

Mass migration and illegal migration keep down the wages of the working classes. The tax collected on those lower wages are then lower. The people the cheaper workers put on the dole costs even more. The only winners are the businesses.

Not as long as they can get an illegal or legal migrant to do it for less.

Illegals and here in the EU legal migrants are prepared to work for a lot less than residents. Many years ago there was a TV program called Auf Wiedersehen Pet. It was about how UK men were going to Germany to build houses. The ending showed how the Germans kicked them out because they didn't have work permits. Ironic. They lived in a wooden shed on a building site. Try that with a family. Of course, not all migrants have to live 6 to a room. Some have families and the government has to provide them with housing. Causing even more problems. The migrants don't have the money to buy or rent a house, the government doesn't have the money to build, so they borrow more. |

It seems this guy disagrees with you. Even with a rise in minimum wage, it won't stop employers bringing in workers to undercut UK workers. They will have too many looking for too few jobs. |

It is bullshit that people don't want to do the low skilled jobs and we neeed immigrants. You just have to pay more, just like you pay more to somebody that has special computer skills. And in the end you use more and more robots.
But the migration problem will be solved in the end. If you look at Europe there is 50/50 pro and anti immigration. And it looks like the people that want to let unskilled workers in is shrinking hard. And if there will be more problems, there will be more clashes, more countries leaving the EU, protest, civil wars, political issues in the eu (a lot of EU countries just don't take in the immigrants, regardless what Juncker of Timmerfrans say). The emigrant crisis is destroying and splitting the EU, but some people are stuborn. So for me it doesn't matter, if more come in, the EU will end. And i wont set a tear. They should have kept it a EEG. You see it in Holland, there isn't a new government yet. All the other party's couldn't get an agreement with GreenLeft, that wants to take everyone in and gained a lot of seats in parliament. Now the parties negotiate with a religous conversative party to look if a majority of seats can be taken. Else we need reelections. Or they must ask Wilders (again) to form a majority and join the club (again). And we have new rules in Holland, tested out in some cities like Rotterdam. If you are on wellfare, than you must do 20 hours of community service per week. Let's see if they can work... I don't like this 100% cause i think it takes regular jobs. You just have to pay more for work if 'nobody wants to do it'. But we will see what happens. For sure there will be coming a lot less immigrants to Holland when they won't get free money.

The Mexican people are fucking GREAT at that. My family owned citrus groves in Florida and employed hundreds of "illegal immigrants" who came in for "picking season". This was back in the 1960's, 1970's, 1980's and 1990's. I can remember my Grandfather showing me a weekly paycheck for over $2,000 he paid to just ONE worker back in the 1970's. That was a fucking FORTUNE to be making in a week back then. They were paid by the tub of oranges they picked. And trust me....I took a shot at doing it myself thinking I would be able to easily outwork the Mexicans and make a fortune from my grandad. I worked my ass off in the hot sun and ended up making a little over $60 for the week (which wasn't bad in the late 1970's in central Florida). I don't know why or how the Mexican workers were so damn efficient and good at picking fruit...but they are. I'm not saying it's a "racial" thing...probably more cultural. It's just the way it is. In general, the Mexican's can outwork most anybody in agriculture. Hardest working people I've ever known. |

they tried to replace them with unemployed germans - because this is what you try when everybody is screaming "the foreigners take my job away" - it was a disaster. hardly anybody showed up at all, the rest quit after a day or two cause the work was too hard for lazy unemployed germans so we're back at hiring polish people to pick strawberries and stuff

He's right. Wages have stagnated for most over the last 15 years. Benefits are now out of control. and the future is looking worse.

Today Automation and Globalisation have removed so many well-paid jobs that what's left are low-paid jobs and they are getting fewer. People aren't generating enough consumption to produce enough home grown jobs to balance out the system. So it's illegals, legal migrants and now citizens of the country who suffer. This is why the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting screwed. ![]() The problem is the UK is losing the wrong people and not replacing them with the same calibre of people. There's a huge shortage of doctors, nurses, teachers, scientists, professionals, etc. The brain drain is real, it's people fed up with living in the UK. Being replaced by mostly low-skilled workers. If they were of the same calibre, there would be no effect from the brain drain. And for the record, I don't care if it's white Australian, NZ, Canadian, etc low-skilled worker. He's not welcome. And I don't care if he's a black or brown high skilled worker. He is welcome. I judge men by what they bring to the table. Unlike other racist like you who care first about a man's colour. |

we are actually in the highest level of prosperity (and rising) and you have nothing else to say as "all goes wrong". here watch bit prosperity and donīt forget to have a look at the rest of the world before you complain things when you better should be thankful. here we go learn to be a bit thankful for what you have and if it is not enough for you complain yourself for it. you had all chances what others had also. |

I can assure you the citrus industry in Florida isn't "under the table"
My grandfather paid with company payroll checks to all of his workers. And he had 2 full time people who did nothing but accounting, payroll, and taxes. The citrus pickers make great money and taxes are taken out of every check. You are thinking of Mexicans mowing your yard or cleaning your house. That's just small stuff in the bigger picture. More white people make money "under the table" at flea markets and strip clubs, etc. than Mexican workers doing yard work or maid service. |

The problem is very simple, but not simple enough for people like you. Pointing to other people, the 1%, and saying they are doing great, isn't going to buy food, clothing, housing, etc for the rest of us. Most of us were all better off 20 years ago. That's a fact, not fiction. Migrants are partly the reason for countries high debt. A foreign worker undercutting a resident worker cuts taxes and puts a man out of work. Where the benefits for the country? |
