Not so simple I am afraid, the cheap labor creates a ripple effect, wages coming down and people losing jobs, the effects are more complex than the obvious.

Illegals and here in the EU legal migrants are prepared to work for a lot less than residents.

Many years ago there was a TV program called Auf Wiedersehen Pet. It was about how UK men were going to Germany to build houses. The ending showed how the Germans kicked them out because they didn't have work permits. Ironic.

They lived in a wooden shed on a building site. Try that with a family.

Of course, not all migrants have to live 6 to a room. Some have families and the government has to provide them with housing. Causing even more problems. The migrants don't have the money to buy or rent a house, the government doesn't have the money to build, so they borrow more.

It is bullshit that people don't want to do the low skilled jobs and we neeed immigrants. You just have to pay more, just like you pay more to somebody that has special computer skills. And in the end you use more and more robots.

But the migration problem will be solved in the end. If you look at Europe there is 50/50 pro and anti immigration. And it looks like the people that want to let unskilled workers in is shrinking hard. And if there will be more problems, there will be more clashes, more countries leaving the EU, protest, civil wars, political issues in the eu (a lot of EU countries just don't take in the immigrants, regardless what Juncker of Timmerfrans say). The emigrant crisis is destroying and splitting the EU, but some people are stuborn.

So for me it doesn't matter, if more come in, the EU will end. And i wont set a tear. They should have kept it a EEG. You see it in Holland, there isn't a new government yet. All the other party's couldn't get an agreement with GreenLeft, that wants to take everyone in and gained a lot of seats in parliament. Now the parties negotiate with a religous conversative party to look if a majority of seats can be taken. Else we need reelections. Or they must ask Wilders (again) to form a majority and join the club (again).

And we have new rules in Holland, tested out in some cities like Rotterdam. If you are on wellfare, than you must do 20 hours of community service per week. Let's see if they can work... The reason isn't as simple as that.

Today Automation and Globalisation have removed so many well-paid jobs that what's left are low-paid jobs and they are getting fewer. People aren't generating enough consumption to produce enough home grown jobs to balance out the system. So it's illegals, legal migrants and now citizens of the country who suffer. This is why the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting screwed.
