First, fully automatics are banned. Semi autos are still legal in some states. And there are hundreds of thousands of them in existence. The only things that have changed is our news, population and time on people's hands. The news is fueling the anger in people like Andy to flip out. Some people will go nuts on social media. Some people with go on a shooting rampage. But our news is in an outrage cycle where they know causing outrage gets views and ratings. So the news keeps posting all this negative shit to divide our country into a fight and outrage, our population is at an all time high which stresses our resources. Lastly, people have too much fucking time on their hands. When I was a kid and did drywall all day in the hot sun and commuted to work an hour each way, I was too tired to give a fuck about anything, but a cold beer and joint. Now people sit around all day on the computer listening to the lies and negative info in the news and social media.

Okay, I read the article? And? A nineteen year old kid got a AK-47 and killed eight people. The ONLY reason he was able to do this is because it's so easy to get an assault rifle.

The article didn't say where he got the assault rifle from. If he didn't buy it himself, he bought it from a friend, or perhaps stole it from a friend or a friend's parents but... If we stopped selling assault rifles and banned them, he wouldn't have been able to buy one, borrow one from his friend, or steal one from someone he knew. Instead, his only option would have been to drive or fly half way across the country, somehow get in contact with someone who smuggles assault rifles, give him and the money and hope he doesn't get ripped off, and then drive back to do his mass shooting....

Do you see the difference? Currently it's very easy for a nineteen year old kid to get an assault rifle, but if you remove assault rifles from society it would be very difficult for him to get.
