To Whom it may concern, Midnight Submitter, the original TGP2 Submission tool is available for download at http://www.midnighttgp.com/submitter/ The tool performs gallery creation, page replications, recip inclusion and of course submission to all TGP2 sites in our database. The beta copy is completely free and unrestriced for the period of the Beta evaluation. If you wish to add your TGP2 site to our database, you may do so through a form on our website.     ----UPDATING OLD POST---Alright I've downloaded the program, patch, and updated database. I've used one of my existing galleries and it just finished submitting... Took about 2 minutes to submit to 26 TGP2 tgps. Worked like a charm It even has an excellent report system that saves a copy of each tgp's "thank you" page so you can be certain it went through.I'll do this for a couple days and submit some statistics to everyone (I also do some big regular TGP posting and receive lots of traffic so it should be interesting to see the results) Now that I've tried this proggy it's excellent (just some minor convenience things still need to be worked on), congrats Midnight! ------------------  Kush is brewing up a wicked $urpise for everyone...[This message has been edited by kush (edited 08-12-2001).] |

Thanks Kush, kandi and I definately appreciate the support. Let me know how you make out with it. We are updating the database daily at this point as new people come on board with it.

I have a strict policy concerning sites added to the database. I want to insure that it is invited by the webmaster and I am not just out there pulling everybody's site in. Please go to http://www.midnighttgp.com/submitter/ and fill out the request form for "Add your site" and Kandi will add it within 12-24 hours depending upon our workload. CoreDump, Yes, the tool was written on a Win2K advanced server. It has been test installed on Win98, Win2Kpro, Win2kServer and Win2kAdvanced server. Thanks for the interest in the product. Midnight, I just tried it out... I think it's great, but it did seem to take awhile to make all the submissions. Like around 15 minutes for 27 sites. I'm just wondering if this is normal or if I just had some issues on my machine here that I need to solve. Other than that, I thought it was pretty fucking cool. It whipped up gallerys for me lickety split!

The application utilizes standard web protocols that emulate posting from an HTML form to the targeted page. The time depends upon several factors..the speed you are connected at, the speed of the site you are connecting too, and the traffic at any given point in time on the world wide web. I guess at 15 minutes for 27 sites you are talking about roughly 33 seconds per site at that rate. I think that this is a fair amount of time but that would also depend on the factors I mentioned above. The installation Bootstrap is from Microsoft. The application was compiled on a Win2K advanced server.
I am going to contact tech support at Microsoft and find out what the deal is with Visual Basic applications on ME systems. Is it possible for you to email the exact error message you received and at what point in the process you received it please. I am also on WinME. Windows told me I was trying to copy and older file than one on my machine. I kept mine. I got an error also saying that an error occurred while registering the file c:\Windows\System\msjro.dll Then while running the program I got a runtime error 2147467259 (80004005) That one may have had something to do with ZoneAlarm though. Not sure. I restarted it and it ran fine. RD |

Due to the overwhelming requests I am receiving, I have placed the beta copy of the tgp2submitter online again. I would like to be clear that we are not supporting this tool, and it is out there merely for people to hammer away at and tell us where the bugs are. The next update will be scheduled for Wednesday, August 15 2001.
