I tell you what this sounds like, and this is comming from soeone who gets emails from guys all day long for the last 8 years of doing this, but dont take it wrong.
the way you say things and what you say sounds like you were infactuated with her. You either had a relationship with her or wanted one. Everything you say is about her and how you want her to do so good and you get upset if you thought she was going to sink herself, and it was not over money because you were not paid, so it sounds like there were some serious issues you may have had with her. Not healthy in a business relationship...but then it was not really a business relationship since mutt was not paid paid.
this is just an outside obervation, not ment to ruffle any feathers.

Ok, I have wasted a lot of time reading this thread, and I still can't figure out what the fucking problem is and why it can't be worked out.

1. Find a solution so those that joined through CCBill can continue to be rebilled and affiliates get their cut.
2. Ashley pays Mutt for design, and all content he owns and continues to use it so that the site stays up.
3. Ashley gets off of her sweet little rump and attends her cam shows without fail and any other obligations she has with members and keeping in touch with affiliates.
4. If she has not learned HTML and photoshop and has no desire to do so, she can hire and HTML jocky for XXX $'s a month to keep her site updated.
5. Ashley should pay Mutt a certain amount over a period of time for the work, time and expense he incurred getting her program up and running.
6. Ashley is a smart girl and needs to put herself on a schedule just like any other "job". Her site *is* her job and it is very easy to always say "tomorrow I will do more, next week will be much better". All of us webmasters I am sure have been through that, it is hard to stay motivated...and you need to learn to treat it as a job...doing it when you don't feel like doing it.

Mutt: I understand what you were trying to do for her. No excuse for her not shooting content. I can see her disinterest in the HTML/photoshop...it certainly is not for anyone. Many business owners hire that work out, and it is not a "bad" thing if she does, nor is it irresponsible. Not getting content shot is irresponsible though as well as ignoring affiliates and not cancelling cam shows.

Ashley: Very few girls your age can make the kind of money you have been making at your age. Hell, very few make it at any age. Life is short, time flies and opportunities do not last forever. Time to sit down, get yourself a schedule and stick to it. You will not believe the relief you will feel when you stop avoiding the things you need to do and just "get them done and out of the way". Hell, you can spend one weekend a month shooting content like crazy that will be enough for updates for the entire month. Farm out what you are not good at or not interested in. Things like cam shows etc. are only once a week or so, they are quickly over and keeping your members happy keeps your income high. *YOU* are the business, market yourself well and learn from your mistakes and don't make them again.

First if she was unmotivated why would you care if she had a site or not? Why begging and pleading with someone who didn't want to work? She didn't want to shoot for her site and you continued working with her for free. I don't know you .I have no doubt your a really nice guy but I have a feeling someone was extremely infatuated with someone. The reason I know this is because I have been there myself. The minute she did nothing and you kept coming back it was over man, people don't respect what they don't have to earn.

zero interest in Ashley on my part 'that way' - is she adorable? yes. cute? yes. I will dump 14 months of ICQ with her - I treated this girl more like a daughter than anything else. A daughter who behaves badly.

By the time the site launched and was doing well but she was doing even less and less my WISH was that she would find somebody in this industry as a BF - a BF who would understand that this is a job, a business, just like any other business in a mall or an office building. I hoped it might even be my photographer John - there was some chemisty there.

theory is wrong.

Two issues here:

1. Mutt's committment to this girl. That I don't care about, up to him if he wants to be that guy who hopes on a star that someday the girl gets JUST drunk enough to let him bang her. That's his deal. What he did was charity, the reasons for which are purely his own. Likely it was for ass, which is a shame. You should have thrown him a bone Ashley, it wouldn't kill you and you'd likely own his ass after.

2. Ashley Brookes fucking her affiliates out of $$$. Now that is insane, and with no real background in marketing/advertising/promotion to fall back on (nor the funds to do run a true multi-level campaign), she'll never get back to whatever level she was at in terms of gross rev a few months ago. Crazy, but a good lesson for her.

Next time, before pulling the plug and thinking "I'm hot, I'm special, I can turn any site into a gold mine, screw this" I'm sure she'll instead say "Shit...how can I work this out..." :1orglaugh

Please do you really think she is going to change and if she does i don't think she will be able to run a buisness from what I read. I bet she has no clue where to begin.

From what I have learned in the past is I only help people I see put in the time and those who have the Drive to suceed.. 1 out 0f 50 of my friends actually can take the bull by its horns and are now Successful

i'm almost done with this thread. There are THREE - count em - THREE people in this industry who REALLY know Ashley - and BradM ain't one of them. There's me, Aron Simpson and John Emslie. That's it. Aron and I posted here - John spent a total of 15 days alone with her - the second half of that time in his home and studio - I had to spend the next 2 months repairing that relationship because I thought she might be needing his help again. And of course 2 days ago - she did.

I'm Old school and it has to do with respect.. Don't sell her the content let her do it on her own so she understands its not easy.

that content isn't going to be sold to her - or anybody else - IF anything is done with that content the proceeds will go to charity or webmasters. i'm sticking by my promise that I'm not making a dime off her ass.

Ashley can't do weekly cam shows or create a constant webmaster presence for her affiliates. Without a webmaster, she is done. This is just another prime example of why help/handouts do not work.

Ashley, if you're even reading this, here's another vote to figuring out something for all the ccbill affiliates.. politics/opinions aside, it's a PITA to remove links and add new ones, and in most cases adding new ones won't happen after all the old ones are removed. But for the affiliates that are already pushing with CCBill urls, they don't have to do anything and you capitalize on all the work we've put in.

Just like models are a dime a dozen on the Net, so are the number of male webmasters willing to "help" them for free. She'll be back up in no time.

Ashley has "that look" that sells. "That Look" never ever has a tough time finding whatever it needs to get whatever it wants.

I've asked other webmasters who work with them, they are few and far between for sure but they do exist - I thought she was one of those girls. Mutt has done a ton of everything for me as well- for nothing! Including (from a very long list) designing an entire site for me as well. I was staggered by the amount of work and patience he offered as I watched this Ashley saga unfold.

It amazes me still that I had to come to the porn industry to find people with this kind of character.
