Bodybuilders - a question

Can anybody recommend an effective calf building program?

Preferably something that doesn't work out right up to "total muscle failure" like a couple I've seen... I kinda need to be able to walk and stuff.

Cheers

the calf is the toughest muscle to build, do some google searches to find stuff that might work, good luck

Cheers guys, and yes I do know about the google.

I was more looking for stuff that has worked for people that they can recomment, rather than just some random interwebs info.

;)

Calf raises. Just workout enough to where you feel a good pump at least twice a week.

There are many different programs, I can share the one I use tomorrow.
However, training is just half of it, the food is as important as the training.

there are two factors that are the primary triggers for muscle growth.

1) fatigue of the muscle
2) intensity of the contraction of the muscle

so... no.

no one can help you if you dont want to experience either. any soreness you feel is something you have to work through. glutamine can help.

Not sure this is what you want, but...

I started doing alot of H.I.I.T on the treadmill. My calves have grown from 15.5 to 17.5 in two months. Alot of incline.

Everyone is asking if I'm shooting straight into my calves, that's how great they've grown.

creatine, glutamine and protein don't make your muscles grow. good training and diet does. supplements, steroids etc are simply tools that can enhance the results of good training and good diet. saying "i want to make my muscles grow... but really don't want to feel any discomfort in the process" is silly. you can't circumvent the necessity of training and diet by drinking creatine or protein. further, he might not even have a training plan or diet that requires additional protein.

I know. I have supposed everybody was going to understand that they should drink protein, glutamine and creatine, as a suplement, and complement this diet with hard training and working out in gym. I thought it was obvious.

Like someone said, training is half of it, then there's food and sleep.

If you work out 3-4 days every week you should get at least 8-9 hours of sleep. More if you can
