Anyone else having VERY slow ccbill sales the past 2 days?

What the shit happened? I was rocking and then the past 2 days literally nothing, which is very unusual for me. A no sale day for me, let along 2 no sale days is like a solar eclipse.

Had to switch my cascade to Epoch because: 10,000 uniques to my best converting site overnight and......2 fucking sales. TWO! Should've been 8-15, somewhere in that range.

This shit has been happening since Sunday. Sales are great, you think you're gonna have a good week - BLAM! Two shitty days that ruin your whole week.

Maybe Epoch will perform better.

I have been browsing through my decline reason emails and it looks like there are alot of bank processing errors and similar stuff in the declines. I think there may have been a loose wire that needed to be jiggled somewhere, I am sure they'll fix it soon, if they haven't already.

Some sales with one sponsor back to back some days, then none for a few days while other sponsors sell on those none days.. it's kinda like leapfrog, gotta be pushing more than one site lol.

Although my ccbill ratios are way down compared to usual, only half of the sites I push are with ccbill and a larger majority of the ones non-ccbill convert great compared to the ones on ccbill..

PLEASE feel free to "run some tests", "look under the hood", "kick the tires", etc etc, because I'm getting fucking SICK of these oddball sales patterns Paulk (and everyone else at CCBill). I have 3 sales today - THREE - and that is fucking ridiculous. My "opinion"? CCBill either isn't putting through the forms because they KNOW they'll get rejected by their merchant banks, or the merchant banks themselves have told CCBill et al to "slow it down/turn down the submits". There IS such a thing as "put-through" ratios.

So yes Paulk, run a thousand tests, then please tell me how everything is fine and how it's summer, explain all the x factors again, etc etc. But what I would like to see, the data I mean, is how many fill out the form, submit it to CCBill, then.....what happens? Does CCBill absolutely, every single time submit the form to the banks or does CCBill et al do a bit of their own 'screening'? I wouldn't get a decline notice if the form was never even submitted to the banks in the first place, would I?

Listen, I understand, I really do. It can't rain sales 24/7. But having to anticipate these 'patterns' like I'm some fucking psychic every day is getting really, really old. Switch the cascade? Find another biller? Go merchant account so I can better control billing? Yeesh. How about a few fucking weeks where everything remains THE SAME? That would be so nice.

Yes true, and it's Tuesday, and it's summertime, and we're in a recession, and Wall Street took a hit, and there's always the tubes....

first two weeks in july kicked butt, then after the 17th....sucking.
but this is a pattern, seems to happen most months to a greater or lesser degree.

I cannot go into all of the checks that we do when processing a transaction but yes, there are a few reasons why a transaction would not make it past our checks. If a decline is given on a transaction before it is sent to the banking network we record it as a 'pre-auth' decline and you and the customer are notified. We have full reports detailing the declines we issue and we are happy to point you in the direction of them or compile them for you whenever you would like.

Thank you Paul. You know I love and trust CCBill. It's just that on days such as these - oh, days such as these (sounds like a song or a bad soap opera) - I search for reasons and, finding few, look deeper.

It IS mid-afternoon here in NYC so perhaps by day's end sales patterns will return to 'normal'. Good to know about those 'pre-auths', too.

You're right. If I get 1,000 or more joins per day then drop to 0 for a couple of days it means nothing.

Actually, you're wrong. What you say is true up to a point but once you hit a certain number of joins going 2 days with none is so astronomically impossible that you are allowed to say "Hmm, what the fuck is up?" without some douchebag being smarmy about it.

Cheers

You really just showed how inexperienced you are what just what small potatoes you are.

While I personally do not make 1000+ of joins a day, I know several guys who do, with a 1000+ rebills a day on top of it.

Folks like to bullshit about their traffic volumes, conversion ratios and income, but discounting the reps that will come in and reply how their proggie converts at 1:10, the big question going forward, if folks want to accept this as "the new market reality," is:

Can YOU profitably sustain a legitimate paysite with ratios as poor as 1:100,000?

Personally, I think anyone in the paysite game (or entering it today) needs to calculate break-even points, etc. with that level of conversion in mind. This will also doubtless affect WHAT a paysite entails and the type / amount of content the customer expects for their cash -- but given the bounty of tubes today, you won't get away with content like the old "blowout" sites, with a handful of Z-Master galleries and some old feeds.

So, what can we do to please customers and PROFIT at 1:100,000?

1:100,000? Really? Has it gotten that bad for people out there? If a program doesn't do better than 1:2000 they won't get more links.

Outside of pop unders, my three worst ratios this month are 1:1735, 1:1371, 1:1101.

The three best are 1:41, 1:314 and 1:492.

Mostly tube, blog and TGP traffic.

I did not include programs I stopped actively promoting ... like one I am trying to filter out (still have some links here and there usually in blog posts) where it is 0:2227 for the month.
