Income tax is NOT the only Fed tax. you also have Payroll and Investment, and others - AND those people pay State & Local taxes - and do not get them back. If you stack your taxes together, Fed tax is NOT the biggest. EVERYONE is paying the hell in!

Then your stupid ass assumes it's the lower income that are getting away with it, which makes you even more pathetic. If you actually read the report rather than listened to Fox news - it says higher income people on average pay a lower percentage tax overall, it appears higher because of pretax income.

Your argument is so... lame, it's hardly even worth discussing.

A) That my taxes don't go to pay into medicare. Why should my taxes go to those who didn't plan for health insurance into their retirement years or can't afford it because they didn't set aside for retirement. They take out more than they put into it

b) that I don't have to pay a ss tax. Why should I have to pay into something that more likely will not be there for me and which people take out more money than they put into it

c) People with no kids shouldn't have part of their property taxes used to fund local schools

A skewed lie.... 100% of the legal workers pay income tax, just 50% get money back because of many reasons.

Why not research a relevant number, like the % of people that don't pay income tax, that didn't lose a job during that period, thus them needing help... ie, find those that work that earn in the lower income brackets - what % of the real working poor get away with zero taxes. That's a relevant number but that is not the number you preach.

We would need to exclude people that got away with no taxes due to crafty investments, donations, business practices, some medical costs, first time home buyers on lower incomes, school loans, solar/alt energy benefits, the car buy back program, day care costs, child deductions and I'm sure many other things... all of which can make even someone that earns $80k+ a year get major refunds. Damn sure not on the poor end of the scale.

This is why everyone rails on the right... Fox news, etc.

Yes, we've established that already... The article does not say, they pay no fed income tax.... It says they get money back and it says they pay a shit load other taxes too. Which is exactly what I said.

You know, you should try reading the articles you post. Right in the article, family making $50k a year, 2 kids (not really a poor family) can pay no fed income tax. If you add in other deductions, a company, and so on - higher incomes can pay nothing, even get money back.

Anyone that made $355k a year in 2006 and paid 73% of the fed income tax burden, and bitches about it - can cry me a river. Because without those other 98% Americans supplying for us, we wouldn't have had shit.

Of course... this little increase that happened was due to the economic downfall and Congress responding with tax benefits. Something most Republicans support, unless it's for the poor.

"Ohhh, this corporation only made $18 billion in profit last year. Our economy is in the shitter though, so we should give an extra tax credit of 2% to this corporation, THEN I bet they'll begin hiring new American workers, and creating jobs in the US! Just give them another tax break, then we'll be on the right track!".

Are you saying that a company already making crazy net profits (18 billion in this example) which many are doing this well now... needs more tax cuts/breaks, before they start investing/rebuilding/hiring? Come on...

Now if we were talking about dropping capital gains tax on money brought in, then yes - but that isn't what we're talking about.

As a business owner, more profits, more tax cuts, doesn't mean I hire or invest more. Just like it doesn't for the shit tons of other companies making net profits now, by the billions... and they aren't hiring, or investing, or building new companies, or anything with it.


Overall he's pretty spot on.... other than the focus should be on our local spending the money they get from the Fed correctly so our damn bridges can be fixed! Then maybe we could actually tax the Middle/lower People less (the consumers), which is what sparks buying trends, thus Companies hire more.
