SharpFile.com have lost Moneybookers and are now left with no method of payment.
If they resurface with a new payment method we will work to have that shut down also. |

Their whole business model IS based on piracy, it doesn't exist without it. So really, whatever they have to say in defense or whatever, is irrelevant and useless.
That goes for all of them, excluding perhaps services like dropbox, sugarsync etc that actually charges its users, not downloaders. Plus also offer more technology such as real time syncing, mobile apps, etc etc. A bit more technical, more professional and more of a business model than a bunch of bandwidth, a bunch of harddrives and a couple of php files to serve up files. |
rofl on this thread ... good luck fighting with wind mills :))

Not sure who did that, but over the last couple of weeks before the suspension, their site was redirecting to an India domain that wanted to install a malicious root toolkit. That probably had something to do with the suspension. |
nice to see punks go down

And these "windmills" aren't gonna have Paypal, Visa, or MC. Then we'll see how long they exist. (until the hosting bill comes is my guess) |

It's funny that there are some (new fake nicks) in this thread who think that having a large site's payment processing shut down is as simple as picking up the phone and reporting a site.
Each takedown requires a large number of man hours to investigate, analyse, collate and then report all of the information needed to present a credible case, then once we have done that it takes even more investigation on the part of the payment processor. The larger the site, the higher the workload and it tends to scale logarithmically. We have put in well over 200 hours on one very large site and have only just begun discussing our report on it with payment processors - it will be a couple of weeks before action is taken by the processors , if any action is taken at all. Then there are other legal considerations to consider which I am not at liberty to disclose but anyone with any common sense would realise that there are many different agencies and groups interested in commercial piracy. It's easy for the fake nick nobodies, people with no clout at all in this or any other industry, to criticise. My advice is that if you think you can do it better then just go and do it rather than whining about it in this thread. |
Keep up the good work!

The following sites lost Paypal payment processing between 18th and 23rd July 2012.
viptv.net hostingbulk.com freeuploading.com friendvista.com yunfile.com usstream.tv diglo.com sendspace.com luckyshare.net rghost.net edoc.com mediafilestorage.net freecd-key.com coraldrive.net torrentbully.com bullyhosting.com pinafilm.com filemates.com imgbucks.com bzlink.us spicyfile.com uploadnsell.com sharefilehost.com multishare.org lafiles.com We believe that all these sites have been terminated by Paypal in the last week. We do not believe any of them may process through Paypal again, however Paypal always deals with these matters on a case by case basis. NOTES Copy Control does not claim responsibility for these or any other Paypal terminations. Many organisations work to deal with infringing sites. Some of these sites may have been reported earlier then re-reported as they continued to process with Paypal. This information is current at the time of publication and is subject to change. http://stopfilelockers.com/more-pira...nt-processing/ |
If only you were paid by thread views, number of pages, virtual high fives or kudos replies. You would be a champ. :2 cents: |

Doing a great job, too bad rapidgator remains untouched, though.
Pretty much every other 'big' filehost lost their paypal so everyone is flocking there now. Clearly they're doing something right :p |

I said there is warez and porn there. And there is. BTW, how many sites have actually shut down operation since you started? Having a graveyard page on your site with the ones you have managed to totally stop business would be good. |

you can theorize about piracy or be pragmatic and take down those you can, ADK is doing the latter, good on him. |
