I know for a "fact" from public sources, from my own military expertise but primarily from insider sources that the US was going to attack NK this spring. Kim apparently became aware that was the fact so he now has backed off and may realize that his game is up and is sincerely ready to appease the US or his playing for time for whatever his reasons are. I am still not 100% satisfied that we will not launch the planned attack but probably will not do so at least this spring as was the original plan.

Kim tested and succeeded with a 100ktn bomb, Hwasong-14 and the Hwasong-15, both were tested in 2017 and both can reach mainland USA.. any city.

No Kim cannot hit us at all. He has yet to miniaturize a nuke to be able to mount it on an ICBM, he also has yet to have the capability to have a warhead that is able to survive reentry. With out both of this capabilities he cannot deliver a nuke via an ICBM anywhere at all. No where, zero, nada, zip. I suspect you are correct and so does Trump - However NK could easily get a nuke into South Korea or Japan - That would be enough to destabilize the whole world's status quo - It could cause WW3 at worst or a meltdown that would make 2008 look like a 'blip' at best - That gives them immense power...

They do not have the world over a barrel. They can cause massive loss of Koreans and that is all they can do. They caused the loss of 1-2 million plus in the first conflict but no one else suffered those kinds of losses and the same is applicable today. They can cause millions of Korean losses.

What is it that you do not understand about Kim cannot deliver a nuke via ICBM anywhere in the world, no where, no place. Even if he has a miniaturized war head that is capable of fitting on top of one of his ICBM's the warhead cannot survive reentry thus it is a useless item. Accuracy does not have anything to do with the warhead cannot survive reentry which means the warhead is useless. It would be the same as launching a rock.

He has nukes but they are not miniaturized to fit on top of a rocket and he does not have the ability to keep them from burning up on reentry thus he cannot deliver one anywhere in the world via ICBM. He may have the ability to deliver one locally via, aircraft but I doubt that also. He is not in a position of power at all other than he has the possibility of causing the deaths of massive numbers of Koreans.

And the reasons North Korea has these weapons.. is they are worried the USA wants to invade them, and the reason they got them so fast was.. USA put sanctions on Russia.

At the end of the day Kim actually wants very little, And that's for the USA to stop fucking threatening them.

North Korea is now coming to the negotiating table.. and that's VERY good!

China announced it would not support NK if the NK attacked first. I do not think everyone realizes how big a thing that was. They had been attacking South Korea off and on for decades. Now it was no longer supported by their biggest allies. He had to rethink so stuff. I do agree that saying no you now have nukes and don’t need to test more is not that encouraging.
